The film was first announced with Vicky Kaushal who later rejected stating date issues. ## Earlier this year, it was revealed Aditya Dhar approached Allu Arjun to headline this mega project. The actor gave it a thought and took his time to decide on it. "The Immortal Ashwatthama" is heavy on VFX film, and now, according to the latest reports, AA doesn't want to take a risk with this and has decided to let it go. ## It is said that Allu Arjun has become very cautious about picking his upcoming films after the Pan India success of "Pushpa". The second part of Pushap is currently in production for a 2024 release. Mumbai, August 7 - Over the last few months, the news about Salman Khan's potential collaboration with producer Karan Johar and director Vishnu Vardhan has been making noise. Salman has been very keen on the project but he didn't sign it officially due to some reasons, but now, there is good news regarding this mega collaboration.## According to Pinkvilla, the superstar has finally signed the dotted lines to come on board the movie. It will be Salman's immediate next after "Tiger 3" which is scheduled to release on Diwali this year. The makers have even locked the release date and have decided to bring the movie on Christmas 2024.## Salman's film with director Vishnu Vardhan and producer Karan Johar will go on floors in November this year and it will be shot over a period of 7 to 8 months. Hrithik Roshan's 'Koi Mil Gaya' Re-Release Opening Weekend Box Office Collection

Mumbai, August 7 - In 2003, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan reunited with his father Rakesh Roshan for a science-fiction movie "Koi... Mil Gaya". It emerged as a box office success and went on to earn a cult status over the years. ## In 2023, "Koi... Mil Gaya" completes 20 years of its release, and to celebrate the occasion, the makers teamed up with PVR Inox to re-release the film on August 4 across 30 cities. The magic of the movie remained intact as it recorded housefull shows at some centers. ## The limited re-release of "Koi Mil Gaya" scored approx. 20 lakh gross in its opening weekend with a total of approx. 225 shows. On its opening day of re-release, "Koi Mil Gaya" grossed approx. 3.50 lakh, followed by approx. 6 lakh on Saturday, and approx. 10 lakh on Sunday. ## Earlier this year in June, Sunny Deol's Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was also re-released and grossed solid 1.30 crores in the opening weekend. However, that was a much bigger release than "Koi Mil Gaya", and considering that, the latter has done well on the weekend.## In its original run in 2003, "Koi Mil Gaya" had grossed approx. 80 crores at the worldwide box office, including approx. 10 crores overseas collection. The success of the movie inspired the makers to turn it into a superhero franchise. In 2006, "Krrish" (Krrish 2) was released and became a big hit, before "Krrish 3" was released in 2013 and scored a huge approx. 375 crores worldwide.## Directed by Rakesh Roshan, "Koi Mil Gaya" is produced by Rakesh Roshan's FilmKraft Production. Mumbai, August 7 - Karan Johar's directorial comeback movie "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" is on a dream run at the box office. The movie had a fantastic second weekend at the domestic as well as the overseas box office which helped it to cross 200 crores worldwide.## Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani scored approx. 31.50 crores net collection in the second weekend, pushing the total domestic to around 105 crores net (124 crores gross). It is the 6th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crores club.## At the overseas box office, RRKPK is having excellent trending. It reach an estimated 85 crores ($10.30 million) through the second Sunday. The worldwide collection of the movie reach approx. 210 crores in just 10 days, becoming the fifth Bollywood movie of the year to hit 200 crores worldwide mark.## RRKPK is the fifth movie of Alia Bhatt and the sixth for Ranveer Singh to cross the 200 crores global box office mark when they featured in the lead roles while it is the third movie of Karan Johar as director to hit the milestone. Mumbai, August 6 - Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani hits 100 crores domestic net after impressive second-weekend hold. The second-weekend drop of the movie is just around 30% from the opening weekend, which is one of the strongest holds for an Indian movie in recent times.## Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had a huge jump of around 70% on its second Saturday, and today, on its second Sunday, the movie witnessed a further solid jump of around 15% for an estimated approx. 13.50 crores net collection. The second weekend total is over 31 crores net which is fantastic.## The total collection of the movie reached approx. 105 crores net in 10 days. The excellent second-weekend hold is a very encouraging sign for the movie as far as the lifetime collection is concerned. With this sort of trend at the box office, it could have easily gone past the 150 crores net mark had it got another free week, which is not the case.## RRKPK will face screen issues from the upcoming Friday on which two of the most-awaited Bollywood movies will release in the form of "Gadar 2" and "OMG 2". Mumbai, August 5 - Karan Johar's romantic family drama film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani exploded on the second Saturday at the domestic box office. The film is showing an excellent jump today and this has confirmed that it will cross 100 crores net by the second Sunday. ## Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani had a very good start to the second weekend and it is one of the rare mainstream Bollywood movies to score a jump on the 2nd Friday. Today, on the second Saturday, the movie is seeing an explosive jump of over 70%, and the collection can go as high as 85% which is excellent.## The early estimates for the second Saturday suggest the collection in the range of 11.50-12.50 crores net. This takes the total collection of the movie to around 91 crores net in 9 days, and tomorrow, on the second Sunday, it will go past the 100 crores net mark and will become the 6th Bollywood movie to reach the milestone this year.## The collections of RRKPK are strong in multiplex while smaller centers are also contributing well. RRKPK has now a real chance to emerge as a clean hit though it is already on course to emerge as a box office success. ## RRKPK is now headed to at least 125 crores net final collection and can go beyond as well if it manages to survive double competition in the form of "Gadar 2" and "OMG 2" which arrive on August 11. Mumbai, August 5 - Bollywood filmmaker Anand L Rai and supremely talented Pan India star Dhanush announced their third film together, "Tere Ishk Mein" on the tenth anniversary of their "Raanjhanaa" in June this year. The movie falls in the same universe as Raanjhanaa and this instantly grabbed the eyeballs of the audiences who are eagerly looking forward to it.## "Tere Ishk Mein" is touted to be an intense love story in which Dhanush will portray the character of an angry young man named Shekhar. AR Rahman is on board to score music. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the makers have finalized the shoot details of the movie with an aim to release it in theaters worldwide in mid-next year.## "Aanand and his team of writers (Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav) have nearly completed the writing, and they will initiate pre-production in October. They have finalized the shooting timeline and plan to film extensively in Uttar Pradesh around November. The film will be shot in a straight three-month schedule", the report says.## Before starting this Bollywood movie, Dhanush will complete his current projects in the South. The actor is currently shooting for his own directorial "D50", a gangster drama centered around three brothers played by Dhanush, SJ Suryah, and Vishnu Vishal. He also has Sekhar Kammula's Pan India movie which will go on floors in September this year.## Dhanush, meanwhile, is gearing up for his next release, "Captain Miller". Mumbai, August 4 - After a good first week, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starts the second weekend on a strong note, scoring a jump over the first Thursday collection. The jump over yesterday's collection is at least 10% and can go upto 15% which is fantastic.## The early estimate suggests 6.75-7.25 crores net on the second Friday of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. This takes the total collection to around 80 crores and now, the movie has a real shot at crossing 100 crores net by the end of the second weekend itself.## The second Friday jump is more because the ticket prices have been increased to the opening weekend level after they were reduced during the weekdays. RRKPK will see further jump tomorrow and may hit the double-digit mark before another jump on Sunday. The second weekend is looking at least 27 crores net and can go towards 30 crores or more. ## RRKPK will cross 100 crores domestic gross tomorrow while it has crossed 150 crores gross worldwide with today's collection. Mumbai, August 4 - Karan Johar's directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has had an excellent first week at the global box office with collection nearing the 150 crores mark, thanks to phenomenal overseas first opening week.## The romantic family drama film, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, scored 146.50 crores gross worldwide, including 86.50 crores (73.33 crores net) at the domestic box office in the first week. The movie scored the 5th biggest first week of the year for a Bollywood movie. ## The overseas collection of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is fantastic with approx. $7.25 million (60 crores). After the superb opening weekend, RRKPK held extremely well during the weekdays despite the competition with Hollywood movies to post very good numbers.## North America is leading the film's overseas numbers with $2.90 million (24 crores), followed by Gulf countries with $2.10 million (17.40 crores), and the United Kingdom with $890K (7.40 crores). In Australia also, RRKPK has really well over the first week and grossed a solid $460K (3.80 crores). The other markets grossed an estimated $900K (7.50 crores).## RRKPK is expected to have a solid second weekend at the domestic as well as the global box office. In India, it will look to score at least 25 crores net which will take it near to 100 crores net mark. Overseas, the movie will be eyeing to reach the $10 million mark.
