Mumbai, July 22 - Acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is set to produce a small-town love story film starring Rajkummar Rao and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles under his production banner Benaras Media Works, as per the reports.## The movie, tentatively titled "Bachpan Ka Pyaar", will be directed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously helmed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy "Chaman Bahaar" (2020). The shoot of the movie is expected to begin next month for 2024 release in cinemas.## The upcoming movie marks the third collaboration between Rajkummar Rao and Anubhav Sinha after "Bheed" and the yet-be-released anthology film "Be Positive" while it is the first movie of Vaani Kapoor with the filmmaker as well as with Rao. ## Rajkummar Rao, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Netflix series "Guns & Gulaabs" which also stars Dulquer Salmaan and others. Recently, reports emerged that things are moving fast in the right direction and that the film will go on floors in August this year. ## There have been no official words from the makers regarding "Prem Ki Shaadi" and its shooting details. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the much-awaited movie won't be starting anytime soon and it will go on floors only after Salman Khan completes "Tiger vs Pathaan" which will commence filming early next year. ## "Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya are definitely doing a film together. but it will kick off next year. Sooraj will invest all his energies in the script once his son, Avnish’s debut, Dono, hits the big screen", the report says.## "Prem Ki Shaadi" is an ambitious project which revolves around a nuclear family. Sooraj Barjatya has reportedly locked the core plot of the film but he will start working on the screenplay only after his son Avnish's directorial debut movie "Dono" hits big screens later this year.## The filmmaker will reportedly take 4-5 months to complete the screenplay and then another 4 months of pre-productions. Mumbai, July 19 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be teaming up with "Pati Patni Aur Woh" director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy-drama film. The movie is reportedly titled "Khel Khel Mein" and has Tapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor as the female leads. ## According to Pinkvilla, "Khel Khel Mein" is the official Hindi adaptation of a blockbuster Italian movie "Perfect Strangers" (2016). It was a critically as well as commercially successful movie, grossing over $32 million, and has already been remade in more than 20 countries. ## "Mudassar Aziz has been eager to make an Indian version of it for a long time and has adapted the screenplay in a desi style to suit the sensibilities of Indian audiences", the report says, adding that the shoot will commence in October this year and it will be shot in a two-month straight schedule in the UK. ## The movie was supposed to go on floors early this year but the production got delayed due to Akshay's other commitments. Produced by Ashwin Varde and Bhushan Kumar, the pre-production of the movie is happening at a brisk pace to start shooting on schedule. ## Akshay Kumar, meanwhile, is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited "OMG 2" which is scheduled for August 11 release. Written and directed by Anup Thapa, the film is based on the true event of the Somnath invasion of Mahmud Ghazni. ## "The Battle Story of Somnath" is a multilingual project which will be released in twelve major Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi. The movie was announced today (July 15) with an animated teaser. ## The teaser of the film gives a background of the Somnath Jyotirling's history across the Yugas as it says, "The saga of history, the first Jyotirling of Lord Shiv. Chandra Dev made it from gold in Satyug. Made from brass by Ravan in Tretayug. Lord Shri Krishna in Dwaparyug. The first biggest invader Mahmud Ghazni, the 1025 CE attack. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty Opens Up On The Box Office Failure Of Ranveer Singh-Fronted 'Cirkus'

Mumbai, July 15 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty takes the blame on himself for the box office failure of the comedy caper "Cirkus" starring Ranveer Singh in a double role. Released in December last year, the movie failed miserably to gross just around 60 crores, becoming the lowest-grossing film of Shetty since "All The Best" (2009) at the worldwide box office. ## During a recent interview with India Today, the maverick filmmaker said that every success and failure of his movies belongs to him. "I make sure to surround myself with people who are honest with me. So, when a film doesn't do well, I know it. Hence, I have always believed that both my successes and failures are mine. There is no point shying away from it", he said.## "When a 'Singham' or a 'Golmaal' did well, that was also mine, so when a 'Zameen' (2003), a 'Dilwale' or a 'Cirkus' failed, that was also mine. I don't see a point in blaming anything else", Shetty added.## The "Singham" director further said that "Cirkus" was made during the pandemic for the workers so that they can earn their livelihood. Shetty's next theatrical release is the highly-anticipated third installment of the "Singham" franchise starring Ajay Devgn which is due to start filming next month and be released during Independence Day weekend 2024.## Shetty promises to make a solid comeback with "Singham Again". "The same audience made 'Sooryanshi' a blockbuster despite a 50% occupancy, and if it didn't work for 'Cirkus', I must take ownership of failures as well. That's not to say that I won't bounce back with the 'Singham' franchise again or 'Golmaal' or any other film, and I might make 'Cirkus' again, too". ## Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is currently busy with the promotion of his hosted daredevil show "Khathron Ke Khiladi 13" which premiers on July 15 on Colors TV.
