The movie scored $1.05 million on the premiere, followed by $1.09 million on Friday, and now, the reported gross collection on Saturday is $1.09 million. The total collection in the USA has reached $3.23 million (Rs. 26.37 cr.). ## PS-1 has officially crossed Kamal Haasan's mega worldwide blockbuster Vikram, Tamil's highest-grossing film of 2022 at the USA box office. Mumbai, September 30 - Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has become the third highest-grossing Indian film during the entire covid-19 pandemic.## The fantasy action adventure film has grossed over Rs. 416 crores at the worldwide box office, crossing Kamal Haasan's mega-blockbuster Vikram's Rs. 414.43 crores gross. "Brahmastra" is already the highest-grossing Bollywood movie since Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's "War" (2019). ## In 2022, four Indian films crossed the Rs. 400 crores mark at the box office worldwide. Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 is the biggest Indian grosser with Rs. 1,207 crores, followed by SS Rajamouli's trendsetting RRR, which has so far grossed approx. Rs. 1,112 crores. "RRR" will be released in Japan next on October 21st. ## "Brahmastra", meanwhile has grossed Rs. 307 crores at the domestic box office in flat 3 weeks while overseas collection stands at approx. Hrithik was last seen on the big screen in War in 2019 and became the biggest Bollywood opener with Rs. 51.60 crores.## The scene has completely changed for the cinema industry, especially for Bollywood which has been struggling to get big openings in the post-pandemic era. The advance booking of the film is nowhere close to that of "War", which has ruled out its possibility of 30 crores opening. ## It is not all doom and gloom for the "Vikram Vedha" in advance sales as it is very much similar to the likes of "Samrat Prithviraj", "Shamshera", and "JugJugg Jeeyo", among a few others, and this indicates a decent to good opening for this action thriller. However, "Vikram Vedha" has something that these aforementioned films lacked, and that is a massive commercial appeal. ## "Vikram Vedha" has been receiving rave reviews from critics and its effect of it has been seen in the trend of advance sales which has picked over the last 24 hours. Going by the advance booking trend, the movie is looking to open around 12-13 crores net. Since the film promises to be a mass entertainer, the single screens are expected to perform much better than the previous films, and looking at all these things, the opening of around 15-17 crores is very much on the cards.## The opening of 15+ crores of the film will largely depend on the audience's word of mouth. Most Bollywood films have failed to impress audiences lately despite the positive critics' reviews, so it will be interesting to see how moviegoers are going to take this film. However, one thing which will give immense confidence to the makers is that the reviews from the critics are unanimously positive, which wasn't the case with the previous films. ## "Vikram Vedha" is getting a global release by Reliance Entertainment in over 100 countries and according to reports, it will be released on approximately 4000 screens in India. The movie is believed to be a two-hero film and reports say, the makers are in talks with Ayushmann for the second lead.## It is said that Ayushmann Khurrana liked the script and gave his verbal nod to come on board the movie that will be produced by Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey. It will be the first time when Ajay and Ayushmann will share screen space together. Anupam Kher has also been roped in to play a pivotal role. ## The shoot of this yet untitled film will reportedly be started in November this year in Bhopal after Ajay Devgn completes his directorial "Bholaa" which also features him in the title role. The upcoming film will mark a directorial comeback for Pandey in films after nearly 4 years. His last directorial film was "Aiyaary" in 2018.## Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Indra Kumar's comedy-drama "Thank God", which is scheduled to release on Diwali this year. He also has "Drishyam 2", scheduled for November 18 release. Apart from films releasing this year, Ajay Devgn has Amit Sharma's highly anticipated sports drama, "Maidaan", and "Bholaa", which will be released in the first half of next year and then he will start Rohit Shetty's "Singham 3". ## On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana is currently shooting for "Dream Girl 2" while his "Doctor G" is gearing up for October 14, 2022, release.
