Mumbai, April 29 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan released the first song 'Kahani' from his upcoming social comedy-drama film "Laal Singh Chaddha". The superstar kept the audience guessing about Kahani before he finally unveiled the song on Thursday (April 28). ## "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks-fronted "Forrest Gump". Directed by Advait Chandan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. Aamir took to a unique way to unveil the song 'Kahani' as he reached RedFM studio on Thursday to talk about the song along with his daughter Ira Khan. ## During the conversation with RedFM, Aamir was asked whose opinion matters the most to him when it comes to his work, Aamir said his mother's. He said, "My mother gives well-thought-out responses. When she doesn't like something, she says, 'Get it away from me, what have you made'. She's very cute in the way she says it". ## The "Dangal" star further revealed the precious reaction of his mother to "Laal Singh Chaddha" and said that she loved the movie and asked not to change anything. Amazon Prime Video Scores Post Theatrical Streaming Deals With Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, Excel Entertainment & Ajay Devgn

Mumbai, April 28 - Amazon Prime Video has revealed its mega plans for Indian audiences for the next couple of years. The streaming giant announced at an event in Mumbai that at least 40+ original Indian shows and movies are currently in development at the studio and will be released in the next 24 months. ## Apart from original titles, Prime Video also inked exclusive post-theatrical streaming deals with big Bollywood banners. During the covid-19 pandemic, Prime Video has been a home of the most the Indian movies for the direct OTT and post-theatrical releases.## Among the top partnership, Amazon scored a huge deal with Yash Raj Films for its five mega-budgeted films that are scheduled to release in the next 12 months. This partnership will officially be kicked off with Ranveer Singh's "Jayeshbhai Jordaar", which is slated to release on May 13th and will end on the blockbuster "Tiger 3", starring superstar Salman Khan.## The five YRF movies are as follows with their theatrical release dates - Jayeshbhai Jordaar (13th May), Prithviraj (3rd June), Shamshera (20th July), Pathaan (25th Jan 2023), and Tiger 3 (21st April 2023). As reported earlier, Prime Video has paid a whopping price to acquire post-theatrical streaming rights of the aforementioned movies.## The second big post-theatrical streaming deal is with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. Prime Video will stream Excel's five movies after they complete their theatrical run. These movies are - Phone Bhoot, Yudhra, Jee Le Zara, Fukrey 3, and Kho Gaye Hain Hum Kahan. ## Apart from YRF and Excel, the streamer also stikes 4 films deal with Ajay Devgn, which includes his latest "Runway 34". Apart from "Runway 34", the social comedy film "Thank God" (July 2022), the action thriller "Bhola" (Feb. 2023), and the thriller "Drishyam 2" will also be premiered on Prime Video after big-screen release. ## Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has already tested success with Prime Video with direct OTT release of its two movies, "Shershaah", and "Gehraiyaan". The top Bollywood production studio has now signed a deal with a streamer for the post-theatrical release of its 3 movies. ## The studio behind many blockbuster family entertainers will release its "Jug Jugg Jeeyo" (June 2022), "Govinda Naam Mera" (July 2022), and "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" (Feb. 2023) after completing their theatrical run. Dharma Productions has signed a deal with Prime Video for the post-theatrical release of its three upcoming movies. ## The studio behind many blockbuster family entertainers will release its "Jug Jugg Jeeyo", "Govinda Naam Mera", and "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" after completing their theatrical run. The announcement was made during an event in Mumbai today (April 28), in which two companies also joined hands for 1 direct OTT release and 4 wen shows. ## "Jug Jugg Jeeyo", which is directed by Raj Mehta, is a comedy-drama film starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles alongside Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul. Produced by Dharma Productions, and Viacom18 Studios, the movie is slated to release in June this year. ## Director Shashank Khaitan's romantic-comedy "Govinda Naam Mera" will also be streaming on Prime Video after completing its theatrical run. Ranchi, April 26 - Akshay Oberoi has commenced the first schedule of Varchasva, a crime thriller directed by Manish Singh in Ranchi. The Flesh actor will be seen playing the role of a labourer for the first time. ## Akshay will be seen sharing the screen with Ravi Kishan and Tridha Chaudhary in the Manish Singh directorial. Embarking on the first leg of the shoot, the actor is excited about exploring a new facet of his craft through the crime thriller.## He took to his social media and posted a picture of a clapperboard that announced Varchaswa's mahurat. In the caption space, he shares, "#Varchasva - Yahan rishto ki koi keemat nahi. Koyla aur Dhanbad, jitna kaala yahan ka koyla usse jyada kaali yahan ki hawa. Filming now!"## The story of the upcoming movie revolves around the rise of a labourer who begins working for a don. Spilling the beans on the character he'll be seen essaying in it, Akshay says, "I will be playing the character of a guy from Bihar who comes to Dhanbad to seek work in Varchaswa. This is an important film because for the first time my work will mirror the unspoken realities of the common man. What excites me are the themes of morality, greed, materialism, and integrity in the crime thriller".## Akshay will be seen in Cold penned by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt and in Pawan Kripalani's Gaslight.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 25 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has commenced the shooting of the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, "Soorarai Pottru" in Mumbai. Akshay will be stepping into the shoes of Suriya. Radhika Madan joined Akshay as the female lead and she will be reprising the role played by Aparna Balamurali in the original movie. ## The Hindi remake, not titled yet, is being directed by Sudha Kongara who has also helmed the original Tamil movie. Akshay, on Monday (April 25), took to Twitter and shared a video of an auspicious coconut-breaking ceremony before kicking off the shoot. Suriya had also attended the Pooja ceremony of the Hindi remake. ## "With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. The movie marks the maiden collaboration between Akshay Kumar and "Soorarai Pottru" filmmakers. It is also Radhika Madan's first film with Akshay. ## The original movie was partly inspired by events from the life of Simplifly Deccan founder G. R. Mumbai, April 24 - Ajay Devgn's "Runway 34" is getting ready for the big screen release this Eid on April 29. The thriller movie, based on real incidents, is one of the most anticipated Hindi movies that also features legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. ## The makers of "Runway 34", meanwhile, have already completed the censorship formalities nearly 3 weeks before the release. According to the reports, the movie has been certified with a 'U/A' certificate by CBFC with zero cuts. As for the theatrical run time, it is 2 hours and 28 minutes long. ## Directed and produced by Ajay Devgn, the film is inspired by the true event of the Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737–800 aircraft that had a narrow escape on 18 August 2015, after facing difficulties to land on the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility at 5:45 in the morning. ## While "Runway 34" will be released on April 29 along with Tiger Shroff's "Heropanti 2", a week later, Marvel Studios' highly-awaited superhero movie, "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness" will be debuting in Indian theaters on May 6. The Sam Raimi-directed movie is carrying a lot of buzz and is sure to take a big opening in India. ## As for the Indian audiences, "Doctor Stange 2" has also been certified with a U/A certificate without any cuts.
