Mumbai, May 5 - The hugely-awaited historical action drama film, "Prithviraj" starring superstar Akshay Kumar in the title role, is releasing worldwide on June 3rd. The anticipation for the movie is building up nicely as the release is getting nearer. ## According to reports, the trailer of "Prithviraj" will be released on May 9 and it will be attached to the prints of Ranveer Singh's "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" in theaters from May 13th. Mumbai, May 3 - The long-awaited historical action drama film, "Prithviraj" is getting ready for June 3rd worldwide release. In the movie, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar plays celebrated Rajput emperor Prithviraj Chauhan along with Manushi Chhillar, who makes her Hindi film debut playing the role of Sanyogita. ## Written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie is based on medieval poet Chand Bardai's epic poem Prithviraj Raso. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters. Director Dwivedi in a recent interview spoke about the movie and called it his dream project that has been a long time coming. ## "Prithviraj is my dream project. It's a script that I have nurtured for a long, long time because of the extensive research work that was needed before I even attempted to make a film on this mighty and legendary king. To be precise, Prithviraj's final research took about six months for me to be fully satisfied that every single fact was checked multiple times", said Dwivedi as per Indian Express. ## The director further said that he is fully satisfied as a filmmaker for taking so much time before releasing his dream. Mumbai, May 2 - A handful of Bollywood movies are set to be postponed again to make way for big-ticket Hollywood tentpoles and also due to the delay in production. It need not say that the covid-19 pandemic has paused a big challenge for the Hindi movies.## While the Indian box office is coming to life thanks to the South Indian and Hollywood movies. Bollywood movies too have success in the form of "Sooryavanshi", "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and "The Kashmir Files", but it is not enough to bring back the industry to its strong feet again. The failure of mid-sized movies remains a big concern for makers and thus, they are now making sure they take the right steps regarding the release of their films and find suitable dates. ## According to Pinkvilla, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rashmika Mandanna's espionage thriller, "Mission Manju" and the Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer "Govinda Naam Mera", which are scheduled to release on June 10, are set to be postponed for later dates. Interestingly, the Hollywood movie, Jurassic World Dominion is also scheduled for June 10 release and it is unlikely to be postponed. ## The report also states that "Mission Majun" will now release between July and September this year while "Govinda Naam Mera" is targeting a year-end release. Apart from the aforementioned movies, Rani Mukerji's "Ms Chatterji V/s Norway", is also getting postponed from May 20th. Kangana Ranaut's "Dhaakad" and Kartik Aaryan's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" are already slated for May 20th release and are all set to proceed with that. ## Another Sidharth Malhotra film, "Yodha", which is slated for a release on November 11, is reportedly getting postponed to 2023. The movie is currently in post-production work and is said to be making way for Marvel Studios' "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", due on November 11. Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan To Invest In A Cricket Stadium Near Los Angeles

Mumbai, May 2 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and businessman Jay Mehta's the Knight Riders Group (KRG), after owning two T20 teams, are now investing in a cricket stadium near Los Angeles. ## The capacity of the stadium is said to be 10000 and it is located at a 15-acre land parcel in Great Park, Irvine, Southern California, some 40 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The plan to build a cricket stadium in the area is driven by Major League Cricket (MLC) which has revealed that an exclusive negotiating agreement with the city of Irvine to move forward with lease negotiations and design approvals has been approved. ## According to Variety, the investment in the stadium is likely to be in the range of $30 million and it will be designed by architects HKS. The stadium will be home to MLC's Southern California-based franchise, in the heart of one of the largest cricket-loving populations in the U.S., including an estimated 100,000 cricket fans with a further 200,000 more located in Los Angeles County. ## The capacity of the stadium will be expanded further and it will also include state-of-the-art training facilities, locker rooms, luxury suites, dedicated parking, concessions, field lighting, and an international-grade pitch to meet International Cricket Council (ICC) accreditation. ## If the proposed stadium is completed in time, it could host some of the matches of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024, which is scheduled to be played in the US and West Indies. ## "Our investment in MLC in America is based on our belief in the exciting future of cricket in the U.S.A and is well aligned to our strategy of establishing Knight Riders as a global brand in T20 cricket", said Shah Rukh Khan, per Variety. "Plans to build a world-class cricket stadium in the greater Los Angeles area are exciting for us and MLC. This will no doubt have a transformational impact for cricket in one of the world’s most iconic metropolitan destinations", he added. ## Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in YRF's spy action thriller "Pathaan" which is scheduled to release on January 25th, 2023. Superstar Salman Khan had himself said in December last year that he would be working on the sequel, however, the shooting and other details were not disclosed by him at that time. ## It was reported that the original lead trio of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan would be reuniting for the movie along with director Anees Bazmee. Now, the director has himself confirmed the movie and said that the shooting for the same will be commenced soon. ## Anees told IndiaToday.in, "The shoot of the film is going to start very soon. I have met Salman Bhai four to five times and told him that we have to start this film soon now. He is very serious and we are going to start very soon. Salman Bhai is there, there's Fardeen [Khan] and Anil Kapoor. These three will be a part of the movie". ## "No Entry", which was released in 2005, was the highest-grossing film of the year. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the movie holds a special place in the comedy genre in the Hindi film industry. The demand for the sequel has been there for a long time and according to Boney Kapoor, the script is ready for the movie, which is titled "No Entry Mein Entry". ## "I have the script and now it is up to Salman if he wants to do it and when he wants to do it... The No Entry Mein Entry script that I have is better than the No Entry one. It is 10 times funnier than No Entry, but the film to be made completely depends on Salman, it can be made only with him", he had said according to DNA. ## The original movie also starred Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, and Celina Jaitly along with Bipasha Basu as female leads. However, the lukewarm response to "Runway 34", and "Heropanti 2" has confirmed that KGF Chapter 2 will have another solid weekend at the box office. ## The Yash-fronted period action drama film did not lose grip and scored a solid third Friday (16th day) at the Hindi box office with 4.25 crores net. This takes the movie past 350 crores net (353.06cr), which is the second-fastest ever in Hindi. SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" still remains the fastest to reach the milestone of 350 crores net, in just 12 days. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF 2" is only the third film ever to cross 350 crores net in Hindi, and now, it is well and truly on to become only the second film to reach 400 crores, after "Baahuabli 2". With Eid falling on Monday, "KGF 2" will surely get the benefit of it and might score double-digit numbers on third Sunday and Monday.## In all probability, "KGF Chapter 2" will surpass Aamir Khan's "Dangal" lifetime Hindi net collection of 374.43 crores by the third Monday and will become the second-biggest movie in Hindi at the domestic box office. "Drishyam 2" is the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer 2021 Malayalam movie of the same name, and it also features Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta in key roles. ## The story of "Drishyam 2" takes place six years after the events of Drishyam (2015). The original movie chronicled the story of a family of four whose lives turned upside down following an unfortunate incident with their older daughter. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the sequel will see Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Vijay Salgoankar. Tabu, who started filming for the movie earlier this week, will return as Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police, Goa. Shriya Saran returns as the wife of Vijay Salgoankar and Ishita Dutta as their daughter. ## The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios in association with Viacom18 Studios. Mumbai, April 30 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty's admiration for Indian police forces is no hidden secret to anyone. Known for his famous cop universe (Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi), the maverick filmmaker has now joined hands with Reliance Entertainment to produce the biopic of Mumbai's one of the most revered top cops and former commissioner of police, Rakesh Maria. ## As deputy commissioner of police (traffic) in 1993, Rakesh Maria cracked the Bombay serial blasts case. He was later deputy commissioner of police (crime) and then joint commissioner of police (crime), of the Mumbai police.## Maria solved the 2003 Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar twin blasts case, arresting six persons, including a couple for planting the explosive devices inside taxis. He was also given the responsibility of investigating the 26/11 Mumbai attacks of 2008. He interrogated Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive, and successfully investigated the case. Kasab was executed by hanging in 2012. ## The biopic will be based on Maria's 2020 memoir "Let Me Say it Now" and will be mentored by Shetty himself. The cast and the director of the film are yet to be finalized. ## Rohit Shetty said, "Rakesh Maria, the man who stared terror in the face for 36 years. His incredible journey spans all the way from the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, the underworld menace, to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. Feel truly honored to be bringing this real-life super cop's brave and fearless journey to the screen". ## Maria added, "It is exciting to re-live the journey, especially when piloted by a brilliant director like Rohit Shetty.
