Shah Rukh Khan's Social Comedy Movie With Rajkumar Hirani Begins Filming In Mumbai
Mumbai, April 15 - It has been nearly 4 years since Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was last seen on the big screen. His last movie, "Zero", could do well at the box office, post which, King Khan decided to take a break before returning to the movies again. He returned to the sets with Siddharth Anand's "Pathaan" in 2020, but the covid-19 pandemic further delayed his plans. "Pathaan" is now gearing up for January 25, 2023, release. The shoot for the same is almost done except few scenes. ## Shah Rukh Khan, however, is making sure that there is not much gap anymore between his next films, and thus, he is also shooting for director Atlee's action entertainer with Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra as the female leads. Now, the big news is that the superstar has commenced the filming of director Rajkumar Hirani's social comedy-drama film in Mumbai today (April 15). ## Last year, it was reported that SRK would be teaming up with Rajkumar Hirani, and the shooting for the same was expected to begin in later 2021, however, due to SRK's personal issues and the rise in Omicron cases in India forced the makers to postpone the shooting plans. With things getting back to normal, Raju Hirani has finally taken the film on floors as the first brief schedule has commenced in Mumbai's Film City Studios, where a huge set replicating a Punjab village is being recreated. ## SRK and Hirani's maiden collaboration will reportedly focus on illegal immigration called "donkey flight", which has emerged as a popular escape path for Indians hoping to immigrate to the US and Canada. While the official announcement is yet to be made, Taapsee Pannu is said to be playing the female lead role along with Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in key roles.
