The Third Part Of Rohit Shetty's Cop Franchise 'Singham' Is Locked!

Mumbai, September 22: Rohit Shetty is going to be working on two of the most loved film franchises "Golmaal", and "Singham" next year. While "Golmaal 5" might take a little more time to take off, Rohit Shetty will most probably be directing the third installment of his cop-film "Singham" as early as next year. ## Rohit Shetty is currently working on Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde's starrer comedy film "Cirkus", which is the filmmaker's first outright comedy film outside the Golmaal franchise. While "Cirkus" is scheduled to release on 31st December this year, Shetty has reportedly locked the script of Bollywood's biggest cop franchise, "Singham 3". ## The second film of the Singham franchise "Singham Returns" was released in 2014 and it's already been almost seven years since then. However, director Rohit Shetty cleverly capitalized this time and continued his cop universe with the blockbuster success of "Simmba" starring Ranveer Singh and the yet to be released and potential blockbuster "Sooryavanshi" featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead along with cameos from Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh as Singham and Simmba respectively. ## The buzz around "Singham 3" has been making a big noise for quite some time now. According to reports, the story of "Singham 3" will take off from where "Sooryavanshi" ends. Ajay Devgn will once again don police uniform and will reprise his role as the daring cop and take on the main villain from the Akshay Kumar starrer. It is said that Akshay and Ranveer will play cameos in "Singham 3". ## "The climax of Sooryavanshi will lead to Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn taking over the charge from Veer Sooryavanshi. The entire film is about Akshay's character racing against time to stop terror attacks in Mumbai, and they successfully stop the same in the climax of the film by capturing the negative leads, only to discover that it's not game over yet and the actual mastermind of the attack is still hiding safely at his whereabouts", a source said to a leading media publication.## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn has his hands full of films at the moment. He has biopic sports drama film "Maidaan", which will be the first to hit screens from his upcoming films that also include MayDay, Kaithi, Thank God, Golmaal 5, and Singham 3. The landmark collaboration will bring some of the finest actors and directors to the big screen in form of different genres. ## The two renowned production studios have joined hands for the four most anticipated Hindi films that include Johar's directorial "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Kangana Ranaut Files A Counter Defamation Case Against Javed Akhtar

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut appeared before a magistrate's court in Andheri, Mumbai, for the hearing in the defamation case filed against her by veteran Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar. ## The court had directed the actress last week to appear on the next date, failing which it would issue an arrest warrant. After Kangana's appearance, the court adjourned the matter to November 15. ## Kangana, however, is not happy with the in-charge court on the grounds and moved a plea before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate seeking a transfer of the defamation case as she has "lost faith". She also filed a counter defamation case against Akhtar. Both will be heard on October 1. ## In her complaint against the veteran lyricist, Ranaut has accused him of extortion and criminal intimidation among other charges. She claims that in a public dispute with a co-star, Hrithik Roshan, Akhtar called her sister and her to his house at Juhu, and threatened her.## "The said accused (Akhtar) even had the audacity to then "force me to tender a written apology to my said co-star (Roshan), thus, forcefully seeking to create a document (valuable security) in favour of my co-star", Ranaut's plea said.## Earlier, Akhtar (76) had filed the complaint in the court in November last year, claiming Ranaut had made defamatory statements against him in a television interview, which allegedly damaged his reputation.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, September 20: Actor Sonu Sood, after the Income Tax department raids on his premise, came out with a reaction on Monday (September 20), defending himself against IT charges. Time will", the actor said in a statement shared on Twitter. ## In a tangential reference to the Sood Charity Foundation being targeted by the IT Department, he declared. "Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy. In addition, on many occasions, I have encouraged brands to donate my endorsement fees for humanitarian causes too, which keeps us going", he added. ## Sonu Sood remain quiet ever since the IT department claimed that the actor has evaded taxes of Rs. 20 crores and also violated (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) FCRA regulations. ## And now, speaking about the same, the actor said, "I have been busy attending to a few guests hence was unable to be at your service for the last four days. Here I am back again in all humility. Mumbai, September 20, 2021: After Kannada and Telugu remakes, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan starrer romantic drama film "96" is all set to be remade in Hindi as well. Producer Ajay Kapoor, who recently announced a film on the Afghan rescue crisis, has acquired the Hindi remake rights of this Tamil blockbuster. ## Speaking about the film, Ajay Kapoor said (according to TV9), "96 was a heartwarming, light-hearted romantic tale that got a lot of love from the audience. The story breaks barriers beyond the boundaries of language and region, which inspired me to make the Hindi remake of the film for a national audience". ## The producer further said that he is working on the script and will soon announce the cast & crew for the Hindi remake.## "I am actively working on developing the right script for the story with the right kind of director and star cast. To chronicle Salman's journey to stardom and also give a glimpse to the audience about the lesser-known facts of the actor, SKF Films in association with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment are producing the series. ## According to Pinkvilla, "All the key stakeholders of Salman's career – right from family to his co-stars, directors, and producers – will be a part of this docu-series. The prep work has already begun and the interviews with Salman's colleagues will be done in the coming few months". ## It is reported that the producers are in talks with an OTT platform for the premiere of the series. Meanwhile, a documentary is being made on Salman's father, the celebrated writer Salim Khan and his partnership with the legendary, Javed Akhtar. The Salim – Javed story is being conceptualized by Farhan and Zoya Akhtar with Salman for Netflix. ## Apart from the documentary series, Salman will next be seen in "Antim - The Final Truth", in which he plays a Sikh cop while his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma plays a gangster. The shooting of the film is completed and is expected to release later this year. ## Salman is currently shooting for YRF's "Tiger 3" in Austria with Katrina Kaif in the lead. Actor Sonu Sood Evaded Over Rs. 20 Crore In Taxes, Violated FCRA Norms, Claims IT Department

Mumbai, September 18, 2021: The Income Tax department, which had speed up and widened its tax evasion probe against actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, has claimed in a statement that the actor has evaded taxes of over Rs. 20 crore. ## After conducting raids at the actor's premise for three days in a row at different locations, the department today said that it has found incriminating evidence pertaining to tax evasion during the search. "The main modus operandi followed by the actor had been to route his unaccounted income in the form of bogus unsecured loans from many bogus entities", the IT department said in a statement. ## Sonu Sood has been hailed as massiah for his philanthropical efforts during the covid-19 lockdown and tried to help people as much as he could. He had recently announced a tie-up with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.## "Investigations so far have revealed use of 20 such entries, the providers of which, on examination, have accepted on oath to have given bogus accommodation entries. They have accepted to have issued cheques in lieu of cash. There have been instances where professional receipts have been camouflaged as loans in the books of accounts for the purpose of evasion of tax. It has also been revealed that these bogus loans have been used for making investments and acquiring properties. The total amount of tax evaded unearthed so far, amounts to more than Rs. 20 crore", the statement further read.## The CBDT said that the foundation has collected donations worth Rs. 18.94 crore from April 1, 2021, till date, out of which it has spent around Rs. 1.9 crore towards various relief work while the balance of Rs. 17 crore has been found lying unutilised in the bank account of the foundation.## "It is seen that funds to the tune of Rs. 2.1 crore have also been raised by the charity foundation from overseas donors on a crowdfunding platform in violation of (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) FCRA regulations", the CBDT statement added.## The department also said that cash of Rs 1.8 crore has been seized during the searches and 11 lockers have been placed under prohibitory order. Mumbai, September 17, 2021: Earlier in the year, there were reports claiming that actress Taapsee Pannu was to be cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in director Rajkumar Hirani's social drama film based on illegal immigration. ## While there is no official confirmation yet on the same, it has now been reportedly confirmed that the actress is indeed playing the female lead opposite SRK. It will be the first time when she will share screen space with SRK. ## "Taapsee is on board. She is doing Hirani's film. But she is not allowed to talk about it. Until the news is official, she cannot comment on it. The producers, Shah Rukh's Red Chillies and Hirani's production house will make the announcement soon", a source close to the development told Cinema Journal. ## The film will mark Shah Rukh Khan's maiden collaboration with Hirani. The duo was supposed to collaborate in Munna Bhai MBBS but things didn't work out. Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Anand L Rai's "Zero" in 2018, will reportedly start shooting on Hirani's film in May 2022.
