The National Award-winning vocalist, composer, and producer has overtaken international music icon Taylor Swift to claim the top spot. ## As of July 1, 2026, Arijit Singh boasts 151 million followers on Spotify. Swift holds the second position with 139.5 million, followed by Ed Sheeran (121 million), Billie Eilish (114 million), and The Weeknd (107.2 million). Singh first rose to the top of the Spotify follower charts in August 2023, when he overtook Swift to become the most followed artist for a short period of time. ## In August 2024, Singh again became the top artist and, since then, has managed his lead over Swift. Despite the slowdown, the film remains the second-highest-grossing Bollywood release of 2025, trailing only Vicky Kaushal's "Chhaava". ## Globally, Housefull 5 has earned an estimated 287 crore gross, including about ₹70 crore from overseas markets. This is the actor's first successful film since sports drama "Dangal" (2016) as a lead hero. ## Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par had a good second weekend at the domestic box office, scoring approximately 33.50 crores net (40 crores gross), pushing total domestic cume to around 122 crores net (147 crores gross). The drop from the opening weekend (58+ crores net) is around 40%, which can be called a superb hold. ## The movie is going from strength to strength as the movie jumped solidly over the second weekend, despite the competition with new movies. This suggests that the movie has found acceptance among the movie-going audience, which should lead it to a strong finish at the Indian box office. ## While SZP is doing very well domestically, it is also seeing good business at the overseas box office, with an estimated gross of around 50 crores in 10 days so far. "It was happening earlier also, but it's just that we had to fine-tune ourselves (laughs). After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years", he added. ## The franchise features Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in the leading roles. Now, the fans are eager for this iconic trio on the big screen soon. Mumbai, June 24 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par scored a good hold on Monday after the better-than-expected opening weekend collection at the domestic and worldwide box office with around 96 crores gross. ## Enjoying the superb word of mouth, Sitaare Zameen Par has topped 100 crores worldwide gross collection on Monday, becoming the 8th Bollywood movie of the year to achieve the feat. In India, the film has minted around 80 crores gross, while overseas collection is an estimated 30 crores, for the worldwide cume total of around 110 crores in 4 days. ## Needless to say, Sitaare Zameen Par is one of the surprise box office successes of the year. Released amid low buzz, the film opened to around 13 crores gross, before showing near-perfect 100% growth on Saturday, followed by another solid jump on Sunday as the opening weekend finished around 69 crores in India. ## The good hold on Monday has ensured that SZP may have a solid run; however, there is Ajay Devgn's production horror thriller "Maa", starring Kajol, that is releasing this Friday amid a decent buzz. The weekend biz of the movie is a classic case of the unpredictability of the box office, which can turn the tide either way of expectations. ## SZP, directed by RS Prasanna, scored the opening of a little over 10 crores net, something which would have been considered a disaster start for an Aamir Khan-starrer before the COVID-19 pandemic, but not in the present time, when big openings are no longer guaranteed, even for a superstar's film. ## It was still the lowest opening for Aamir Khan since Ghajini (10.20 crores net), but it can be called decent given the fact that there weren't high expectations from it, as trade was expecting below the double-digit start. However, what followed next is history, which has taken everyone by surprise. ## The film scored almost 100% growth on Saturday, which is the biggest second-day jump for an Indian title, which opened with double-digit numbers. It scored another solid growth on Sunday to clock in around 58-60 crores net opening weekend, which is the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie, which scored the opening of 10-11 crores net. ## SZP did decently in international markets during the opening weekend, scoring around 27 crores gross, for a worldwide cume total of around 96 crores gross.
