Mumbai, November 9 - A major box office clash which was shaping up to light up the big screens in the first week of December 2024 has reportedly been averted as Maddock Films' potential blockbuster Chhaava is no longer coming in the way of highly-anticipated Pushpa 2 - The Rule, starring superstar Allu Arjun. ## The Vicky Kaushal-fronted historical action drama was scheduled to be released on December 6, a day after Pushpa 2, but is now looking for a new date to hit the big screens. According to Peepingmoon.com, the Laxman Utekar's directorial is now contemplating two release dates for arrival. ## While the official new release date is yet to be locked, it is said that the makers are weighing either December 20, during Christmas festival weekend or during the Sankranthi festival weekend on January 10 for its release. The final call is expected to be made in the next couple of weeks. ## The Christmas 2024 weekend has some competition as a couple of biggies scheduled to be released at the Hindi box office in the form of the Hollywood title Mufasa: The Lion King (December 20) and Varun Dhawan's hugely-awaited Baby John (December 25) in addition to Pushpa 2 which can have a long run at the box office. ## For Sankranti 2025, there is currently superstar Ram Charan's Game Changer scheduled to release on January 10 in multiple languages, including Hindi in which the movie is expected to do well. It will be interesting to see which slot makers choose to release Chhaava as both are lucrative festive slots for the box office. ## Chhava is a historical epic film based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal. It is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. The film has Rashmika Mandanna, playing the female lead as Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, November 8 - Ajay Devgn's cop action drama Singham Again begins second weekend with a decent hold after the good first week collection of 173 crores net. ## The movie is witnessing a drop of around 10%-15% on its second Friday from Thursday for an estimated 7.50-8crores net collection, pushing total to over 180 crores net in 8 days. The second weekend is probably heading for 30 crores net. ## The drop in the second weekend is likely to be around 75% which is harsh but is expected given the mixed word of mouth and clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is now turning into the first choice of the moviegoers. SA, however, will still do enough to cross 200 crores net by Sunday. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan kicks off the second weekend with a strong hold, dropping under 10% for an estimated 8.50-9 crores net collection on its 8th day/second Friday. This takes the total collection to around 167 crores net. ## The second weekend of BB3 is expected to be in the range of 32-33 crores net which is a drop fo around 65%. The movie will be close to 200 crores net by the second Sunday, and will breach this milestone by the second Tuesday and Wednesday. ## The overall combined second weekend of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is heading for 60+ crores net which is decent. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, November 8 - The 2 Bollywood Diwali tentpoles, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have had a very good first week at the box office as both the films combined delivered 500 crores gross collection worldwide, making it one of the biggest for Bollywood films. ## Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham 3 scored the second biggest first week for a Bollywood movie of 2024. At the domestic box office, the movie minted approximately 207 crores gross (173 crores net) while the overseas collection is an estimated 53 crores for a worldwide cume of 260 crores approx. ## On a larger note, Singham Again proved to be the biggest first-week grosser for Ajay Devgn as well as for director Rohit Shetty. The movie received mixed talks and clashed with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and despite that, it faired well. It will be topping 300 crores worldwide in the second weekend. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, on the other hand, is easily the winner of the clash after the first week. After the fantastic weekend, the horror-comedy showed a better trend during the weekdays and ended the first week's collection with approximately 190 crores gross (158 crores net) in India and an estimated 50 crores overseas for the worldwide cume of 240 crores gross.## The combined total of both movies is approximately 500 crores worldwide, including a little under 400 crores gross (397 crores gross) domestically. Mumbai, November 7 - Ajay Devgn's Singham Again has a very good first week at the box office with approximately 173 crores net collection. After the fantastic weekend, the cop action drama held well during the weekdays despite the mixed reception and clash. ## The Rohit Shetty's directorial, on its first Thursday/7th day, scored an estimated 8.50-9 crores net collection, pushing the total first-week collection to 173 crores net. This is the first week total for Ajay Devgn, beating Golmaal Again which minted approximately 136 crores net. ## Since there is no new release this week, Singham Again can have a second weekend of around 30-35 crores which is about a 70% drop from the first weekend. It is likely to cross the 200 crores net mark by the second Sunday and then, it will be interesting to see how the movie fares thereafter.## Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is having a much better trend at the box office and has another solid day. On its first Thursday, the film is looking to score in the range of 9-9.50 crores net, as per estimates. This takes the total first-week collection to around 158 crores net which is fantastic. ## It is by far the biggest first week for a Kartik Aaryan-starrer, beating his previous best of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which scored 92 crores net. Both the movies remain around or over the double-digit mark on Wednesday which is fantastic. ## The mixed word of mouth hasn't made much impact on Singham Again which is heading for 170+ crores first week of collection. On its first Wednesday (6th day), the Ajay Devgn starrer is flirting with the double-digit mark as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 10-10.50 crores net. ## The first Wednesday collection of the film pushes the total to around 164 in 6 days as the full week is expected to be 172-173 crores net which is fantastic. The movie will be breaking into the 200 crores net club by the second Sunday. ## Meanwhile, the Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has another rock-solid day and the collection is likely to come above Singham Again for the first time in its run. It was bound to happen at some point due to positive reception among the audience. ## According to early estimates, BB3 is expected to score 10.50-11 crores net collection on its first Wednesday (6th day), pushing the total collection to 148.50 crores net. While the sequels to some of the classics are already in development, Akshay Kumar has reportedly acquired rights to the Bhagam Bhag sequel as with the original cast. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar has acquired the rights for this comic caper from Shemaroo as he intends to make its second part soon. Mumbai, November 6 - The horror-comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa continues to climb new heights at the box office. The Kartik Aaryan-fronted latest instalment Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has breached the milestone of 200 crores gross worldwide, becoming the 5th Bollywood movie of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Anees Bazmee, BB3 scored approximately 20 crores gross on Tuesday which took its total collection to around 208 crores worldwide in just 5 days. The collection includes 165 crores from the domestic and 43 crores from overseas box office. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the second film of Kartik Aaryan to enter the 200 crores club after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which minted approximately 265 crores gross. It is also director Bazmee's second movie to achieve the milestone after BB2. ## Actress Triptii Dimri debuted in the 200 crores club with the latest hit while Vidya Balan has her second movie after Mission Mangal and so is for Madhuri Dixit after Total Dhamaal in this prestigious box office club. Mumbai, November 6 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana has officially been announced months after going into production. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Lankesh, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. ## The epic will be released in two parts with the first part coming on Diwali 2026 and part 2 on Diwali 2027. Easily the biggest Indian movie in the making, Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. ## The Oscar-winning combo of Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman is on board to do music and background score while DNEG, which has won multiple Oscars, will be doing the VFX of Ramayana. Mumbai, November 5 - Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continue to put a good show at the box office as both movies are looking at solid Tuesday domestically. The former is slightly ahead of BB3 as per trends but not by much which is fantastic. ## According to early estimates, Singham Again is expected to score in the range of 13.50-14 crores net on its first Tuesday (5th day) which is a drop of around 25% from Monday. The hold is good considering the film is coming after the Diwali holiday period. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, on the other hand, is having a neck-to-neck fight with Singham 3 during the weekdays after a solid weekend. As per early estimates, the horror-comedy is expected to score in the range of 13-13.50 crores net. Depending on the mass belt, the final collection of both films might be similar or have a minor difference. ## The total collection of Singham 3 after 5 days has crossed the 150 crores mark at around 153+ crores net, heading for 170+ crores net first week while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is around 137 crores net, expected to be around 155+ crores net week. ## The Diwali holiday effect is still there which is proving to be beneficial for both films. The makers officially announced that the teaser scored 157.10 million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. ## On YouTube, the teaser garnered 22.4 million views while on Instagram, the blockbuster promo scored massive 90.40 million views. On Facebook, the Taster Cut generated 42.4 million views while X delivered 281K views on its full first day. ## The teaser of Baby John has proved to be a hype-raiser. The film is an adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil movie Theri (2016), directed by Atlee. Mumbai, November 5 - Director Rohit Shetty's action entertainer Singham Again has entered the 200 crores club at the worldwide box office in just 4 days, becoming the 4th Bollywood movie of 2024 to achieve the feat after Fighter, Shaitaan, and Stree 2. ## The Ajay Devgn-starrer had a very good first Monday worldwide with approximately 26 crores gross, including 21.50 crores (18 crores net) domestically. This pushed the total collection to approximately 213 crores gross worldwide which includes 167.50 crores gross in India and 45 crores overseas. ## Singham Again is the 6th movie of Ajay Devgn to hit 200 crores worldwide after Tanhaji, Drishyam 2, Golmaal Again, Total Dhamaal, and Shaitaan. Mumbai, November 4 - After the excellent first weekend with over 120 crores net collection, Ajay Devgn's cop action drama Singham Again scores a strong hold on the crucial first Monday with a drop of around 50% from Sunday which is fantastic considering the movie is coming after strong holiday weekend.## According to early estimates, the Rohit Shetty's directorial venture scored in the range of 17-18 crores net. This might go higher depending on mass belts but still fantastic numbers on the working day and in a major clash. This takes the total collection of the movie to around 139 crores net in 4 days.## The initial word of mouth seemed to be mixed but the strong Monday hold indicates the acceptance of the movie among the audience which is a good sign going forward as the movie has an open run with BB3. The first full week can be 175+ crores net which is fantastic. ## Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is also putting up a solid show at the box office and after legging behind Singham Again the opening weekend despite excellent numbers of 106 crores net, the movie has started matching the daily collection. ## Word of mouth for BB3 is positive which was expected to give the movie an edge over Singham Again at some point. According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 17-18 crores net. The numbers are pretty much similar to SA today and the exact position will be known by tomorrow morning. ## The total collection of BB3 is around 123+ crores net after 4 days and the first week is headed to 160 crores net which is excellent. As said, there is no new Bollywood film for at least a month so that is a big advantage of both BB3 and SA.
