Ajith Kumar's 'Vidaamuyarchi' Trailer And Release Date Update

Chennai, January 15 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's long-awaited action thriller Vidaamuyarchi is gearing up for the release. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the movie was announced in May 2023 by Lyca Productions and since then, it has been in intense production. ## The movie was originally announced for Diwali 2024 release, before getting postponed to December and then Pongal 2025. It was again pushed back and there were reports that it would be released during the Republic Day weekend. But there is another change in the plan. ## On Wednesday, Lyca took to social media to announce that the Vidaamuyarchi trailer would be launched on January 16, and according to reliable Tamil media reports, the film will hit the big screens on February 6 in multiple languages. The official announcement of the release date will be made with the trailer. ## The film is reportedly based on the 1997 Jonathan Mostow's directorial Breakdown. It follows a husband who is on the search for his wife, who went missing during their vacation to Azerbaijan. Mumbai, January 15 - IMDb has unveiled the list of the top 20 most anticipated Indian movies of 2025, and the blockbuster list is topped by superstar Salman Khan's action drama Sikandar. The list includes 11 Bollywood titles, 3 Tamil and Telugu titles each, 2 Kannada movies and 1 Malayalam movie. ## Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is scheduled to hit the big screens on Eid. The actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War along with Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana, both scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## Recently, it was reported that Ranbir has been locked in to lead Yash Raj Films' long-awaited Dhoom 4, which was officially announced more than a decade ago but the production never took off due to some reasons. But now, things are moving fast and production is set to begin next year. ## According to the India Today report, Dhoom 4 will start filming in April 2026. The makers are currently looking to cast 2 female leads and an antagonist. Los Angeles, January 13 - Marvel Studios's first blockbuster of the year, Captain America: Brave New World is gearing up for the big screen debut in February. This marks Anthony Mackie's first full-fledged Captain America film in the title role after Chris Evans retired from this duty. ## Directed by Julius Onah, the film hits the screens in less than five weeks, and the first box office projection revealed it is heading for an opening close to 2014's Captain America: Winter Soldier which opened to $95 million over Friday to Sunday weekend at the domestic (North America) box office. ## According to Deadline, The Brave New World, which is a reset of the franchise, is expected to do $86 million to $95 million over the 3-day Valentine's Day Day weekend and $100+ million over Friday to Monday over Presidents' Day weekend domestically. ## There is every possibility of bigger weekend totals for the film as Deadline reports that on the tracking service Quorum, Captain America: Brave New World has the most awareness of movies opening in February 2025 and those debuting in the same weekend. ## Marvel Studios rules the 4-day Presidents' Day weekend openers domestically with the top three with 2018's Black Panther ($242.1 million), Deadpool ($152.1 million) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($120.3 million). Hyderabad, January 11 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer, which was released on January 10, took a good start at the domestic box office with over 60 crores gross considering the mixed word of mouth, though it failed to meet the expectations. ## On its second day (first Saturday), the Shankar's directorial venture is witnessing a drop of over 50% which is a bit harsh even by the standards of any big Telugu film which tend to drop after the opening day. The word-of-mouth effect can be seen in day 2's collection, especially in South Indian states. ## According to the early estimates, GC is expected to gross around 13-15 crores in Telugu states, dropping over 60% from the opening day. In Karnataka, the film also dropped by around 50% for an estimated 2.25 crores gross, while in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, it is expected to gross around 2-2.25 crores on the second day. ## The Hindi version of the film surprised on the first day and it remained the best-performing on Saturday with little to no drop as it minted around 7-7.50 crores net on day 2. Overall, Game Changer is expected to gross in the range of 25-28 crores on Saturday, pushing the total domestic gross to around 86+ crores in 2 days. ## The film has a big couple of days over the Sankranthi festival to score at the box office. India took to social media to confirm that Interstellar would be re-released in India on February 7 in the original language and IMAX. Box Office: 'Game Changer' Opening Day Early Estimates

Hyderabad, January 10 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has taken a good opening at the domestic box office and surprises in the Hindi version with a better-than-expected start.## The movie scored decent pre-sales and the star power of Ram Charan and his combination with director Shankar made sure it converted to a good start, especially in Telugu states. Despite the mixed reception, the film managed to take the biggest solo opening for RC in all major areas. ## According to the early estimates, Game Changer is expected to gross around 45-50 crores in Telugu states which is a very good start. The previous biggest solo opening of RC in AP/TG was Vinaya Vidheya Rama which grossed around 33 crores back in 2019. ## In Karnataka, GC is estimated to gross 4-5 crores, followed by around 2.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Hindi version of the film turns out to be a surprise package as it scored an estimated around 7 crore net which is the biggest for RC other than RRR. ## The overall domestic opening of the film is expected to be in the range of 60-65 crores gross. These are good figures which could have been even stronger if word of mouth was positive.
