Hyderabad, January 25 - The long wait is finally coming to an end as maverick director SS Rajamouli is all set to commence his highly-anticipated action-adventure film, which he labelled as a globe-trotting epic with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. ## On Friday (January 24), SS Rajamouli took to Instagram to hint about the production commencement of his next. The blockbuster director shared a photo of a lion in jail and seizing the passport on social media. This meme-like snippet went viral across platforms in the excitement of the movie. ## Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, who is making her comeback to Indian films with this biggie, commented under the post of SSR. The official announcement of the cast, other than Mahesh Babu, hasn't been made yet but it has already been reported in the media that PC is locked for the female lead. ## This is the first time that SS Rajamouli is teaming up with Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. This is the collaboration which has generated massive buzz, not just among the Indian audience but also internationally. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is said to be playing the antagonist role. ## As reported earlier, SSMB 29 is a jungle adventure mega project, on the lines of Indiana Jones. Things have moved rapidly over the last couple of years regarding the script but still, all is not well for the movie. ## In a recent interaction with Movie Talkies, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan provided a much-awaited update on Krrish 4. When asked about the film, the filmmaker said that it will happen for sure as the script is finally ready, but the budget is a major concern. ## Rakesh Roshan revealed that the movie's scale is huge which requires a massive budget. The Karan Arjun director doesn't want to compromise with the scale of the movie as he said that if he cut the budget, it would massively the storyline, something he doesn't want to do. He said that he would start Krrish 4 only after he gets the required budget and scale right. ## There have been rumours that Krrish 4 will bring back the character of Jaado and when asked about the same, Rakesh Roshan refused to reveal anything about the plot as of now. Hyderabad, January 24 - Superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has had a dream run at the box office and has completed 50 days since its debut on December 5 last year. The Sukumar's directorial is closing in its box office journey but not before rewriting history. ## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the second part of the Pushpa series has grossed over 1736 crores worldwide, including over 1466 crores in India and over 270 crores at the overseas box office in 50 days so far and emerged as an all-time blockbuster. ## The film will finish as the third highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office, behind only Baahubali 2 (1790 crores approx.) and Dangal (2070 crores approx.). Pushpa 2 - The Rule headed to finish under 1750 crores worldwide with approximately 6.25 crores domestic footfalls.## In the dubbed Hindi version, however, from the record-breaking opening to breaching 100 crores gross single day mark to become the biggest Hindi grosser, the movie has shattered every record and set a new benchmark for the upcoming films. Sunny Deol's 'Jaat' Official Release Date Announced

Mumbai, January 24 - After the historic success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for mass entertainer Jaat which is the director's maiden Bollywood project. Telugu giant Mythri Movie Makers produces the film with People Media Factory. ## On Friday (January 24), the makers announced the release date of this much-awaited action drama. It has been confirmed that Jaat will hit the big screen on April 10 this year in Hindi and the dubbed versions of Telugu and Tamil. ## It is to be noted that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's highly-awaited courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled for an April 11 release and if things remain unchanged, it will be the second round of epic box office clash between Akshay and Sunny after 2023's Gadar 2 and OMG 2. ## The plot details of Jaat have been kept under wraps but it is said that Sunny will be up against 5 antagonists in the movie. Hyderabad, January 22 - Pan India superstar Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin teamed up for the first time last year in the form of sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD. The film was one of the biggest hits of the year with a worldwide gross collection of over 1000 crores. ## Kalki 2898 AD ended with an exciting cliffhanger which raised curiosity for the second part of the franchise. Mumbai, January 20 - Disney strikes again and completes the lonely hat-trick of a $1 billion worldwide success of 2024 after the studio's animated musical adventure film Moana 2 sailed past the magical box office milestone globally through the 8th weekend. ## To think how big this billion-dollar success is, Moana 2, the sequel to the 2016 blockbuster, was originally conceived as a streaming show before Disney changed plans for good. It is Disney's third 2024 release to join the billion-dollar club following Inside Out 2 ($1.69 billion) and Deadpool & Wolverine ($1.33 billion). ## Moana 2 has grossed $445 million domestically (North America) and $567 million at the international box office, bringing its grand total to $1.01 billion globally. No other film, apart from Disney's other 2 movies, managed to breach the $1 billion mark in 2024 with the closest to being Universal's Despicable Me 4 ($969 million). ## The second film in the Moana franchise is the 9th film after the COVID-19 pandemic and the 55th title of all time to enter the billion-dollar club. After the superb opening, the movie remained steady throughout the week and surpassed 100 crores gross. ## Directed by Bobby, Daaku Maharaaj has grossed approximately 89 crores domestically and around 16 crores at the overseas box office for a global cume of 105 crores in 7 days. Anil Ravipudi directs the movie which marks his reunion with Venky after F2 and F3.## Released on the day of Sankranthi (January 14), the movie faced competition from Ram Charan's Game Changer and Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj. However, both the other movies stood no chance in the front of box office carnage of Sankranthiki Vasthunam which emerged as the number 1 choice of the moviegoers from day 1. ## The movie scored approximately 27 crore gross in India and around 35 crores worldwide upon its Tuesday opening day, making it the biggest opener of Venkatesh. The movie is co-directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur. ## With nearly a week to go for release, the film was censored on January 16.
