Los Angeles, February 13 - Marvel Studios' hugely-awaited superhero movie Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Ryan Raynolds and Hugh Jackman, started its journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with a record. ## The first teaser/trailer of Deadpool 3, which debuted during the Super Bowl event, has become the most-viewed trailer of all time in the first 24 hours with a sensational 365 million views across social media platforms, as per Disney. ## The 365 million views of Deadpool 3 have beaten Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: No Way Home which scored 355.5 million in the first 24 hours. The third best is Avengers: Endgame's first trailer (289 million), followed by its final trailer with 268 million and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power with 257 million views. ## ## Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Mumbai, February 13 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has teamed up with Tamil director Sudha Kongara for the remake of Soorarai Pottru. The movie has been in production since 2022 and was supposed to be released in February this year but was postponed. ## There have been rumours that the movie was titled Start Up, but now, the makers have announced the official title. Produced by Abundantia Entertainment and 2D Entertainment, the film is titled Sarfira, and it also stars Radhika Madan as the female lead alongside Paresh Rawal and Seema Biswas. ## The title of the movie was unveiled on February 13 with the first look glimpse. The makers have locked a July 12, 2024, release date for the same, 3 months after Akshay's upcoming hugely-awaited Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with director Ali Abbas Zafar. ## The music of Sarfira is scored by National Award winner GV Prakash Kumar. Suriya, who headlined Soorarai Pottru, is playing a cameo role in its Hindi remake. Mumbai, February 12 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited superhero movie and the third Deadpool instalment has officially been titled Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the title roles, respectively. ## The title and first teaser/trailer of Deadpool 3 was unveiled during The Super Bowl, the annual league championship game of the National Football League of the United States. The trailer revealed how Deadpool gets the taste of a multiverse saga and that he needs a little help from his friends to survive. ## Deadpool & Wolverine is a first-of-its-kind film for Marvel Studios. It will be its first R-rated movie and the franchise's official entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It will also be the studio's first movie to star a character that originally appeared in movies made by 20th Century Fox. ## Huge Jackman, who has been a part of Marvel's X-Men film series, marks his MCU debut with the upcoming movie. Mumbai, February 11 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's aerial action thriller Fighter has a decent third weekend at the domestic box office, taking a step closer to the 200 crores net collection mark. ## Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter minted approximately 9.40 crores net in its third weekend, pushing the total collection to around 197 crores in 18 days. The movie will enter the 200 crores club by Tuesday or Wednesday to become the first Indian film of 2024 to do so. ## Fighter is also heading towards 350 crores gross at the worldwide box office. After 3rd weekend, the movie stands at approximately 332 crores gross globally, including 236.50 crores in India alone. It is performing well overseas and has so far collected around 95 crores. ## Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix, Fighter is currently Hrithik Roshan's 4th and Deepika Padukone's 6th highest-grossing film at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, February 11 - Director Prasanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman has unlocked a box office achievement as it has crossed 50 crores net in the dubbed Hindi version while worldwide, it is heading towards 300 crores gross mark. ## Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, Hanuman had a limited release to begin with as it started with approximately 2.10 crores net in Hindi. However, with super positive word of mouth, the movie started gaining momentum and now on its 30th day, it has topped 50 crores net mark. ## Hanuman is the 11th South Indian and 7th Telugu film to hit 50 crores net collection in Hindi. The total net collection of the film currently stands at approximately 194.50 crores, including a little over 50 crores in Hindi alone.## The film is also heading towards hitting 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office, however, it may fall short of the target. It has so far grossed approximately 285.25 crores in 30 days and is likely to score another 5-7 crores gross to finish over 290 crores mark. ## Hanuman, as reported earlier, is the highest-grossing Telugu movie ever to release in the month of January, beating superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (269 crores). Mumbai, February 11 - Maddock Films' romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the leading roles, is turning out to be a good outing at the box office. ## Directed by debutante Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the impossible love story opened to decent numbers on the opening day, grossing approximately 13.50 crores worldwide, including 8 crores gross (6.70 crores net) in India alone. The film's opening was on the expected lines after sort of advances it scored. ## The movie witnessed a good jump of around 40% on its second for approximately 19 crores worldwide, including around 11.50 crores gross (9.65 crores net) domestically. The total worldwide collection of TBMAUJ stands at 32.50 crores, including 19.50 crores in India in 2 days, making it Shahid Kapoor's biggest grosser post the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Shahid Kapoor's last theatrical release, "Jersey" minted around 31 crores gross in its lifetime run and TBMAUJ has beaten it in just two days. Mumbai, February 9 - Pan India superstar Prabhas' action drama film Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has officially revealed its digital partner for the Hindi version. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, is already streaming on Netflix in the South Indian languages. ## Since the film's Netflix release in South Indian versions, there have been enquiries about the streaming date of the Hindi version. Hombale Films, on Friday (February 9), officially revealed that Salaar Hindi will be coming on Disney Plus Hotstar on February 16. ## Unlike South Indian versions, the Hindi version of Salaar will be streaming after 8 weeks of theatrical release, and this is one of the major reasons Netflix is not the OTT partner of the film for Hindi. The movie is expected to bring good viewership for Hotstar. ## Netflix was hoping for a break-out success with Salaar in South Indian languages but the response so far has been underwhelming with just 3.5 million views in two weeks.## Meanwhile, Salaar: Ceasefire" grossed approximately 618 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2023. Mumbai, February 8 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter scored a decent second week at the domestic box office with around 40.50+ crores net. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action thriller is heading towards finishing over 200 crores net collection, which at one stage, looked very difficult.## After the good but underwhelming first week of 146.50 crores net, Fighter needed a turnaround to stay afloat and managed to do that with a timely jump over the second weekend in which the movie minted approximately 28.75 crores net.## The movie had another drop on its second Monday which was expected but just like the first week, it didn't drop drastically and stayed steady during the weekdays. The total net collection of Fighter after 15 days is approximately 187.40 crores and it will look to go past the 200 crores mark in the third week. ## At the overseas box office, Fighter is putting up a good show and has grossed an estimated 90 crores so far, for worldwide around 315 crores in two weeks (15 days). Los Angeles, February 8 - Disney has officially confirmed the sequel to his 2016 animated musical fantasy adventure film Moana in a surprising turn of events. It is said that Moana 2 was originally planned as a TV series but became a feature film because Disney CEO Bob Iger was impressed with the footage.## Ahead of Disney's first quarter of fiscal 2024 earnings report, the studio unveiled the first look teaser and also set a November 27, 2024, release date. According to Disney (via Variety), "Moana 2" will take audiences on an "expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers". ## The original "Moana", released on November 23, 2016, became a success for Disney, generating more than $680 million at the worldwide box office. ## Disney's Zootopia 2 has also confirmed its release date. The sequel to the studio's $1 billion-plus animated buddy cop action comedy film will debut in worldwide theatres on November 26, 2025. Mumbai, February 7 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has broken a viewership record on Netflix. The action drama film scored the highest viewership for an Indian movie (direct or indirect) on the streamer in the first 10 days. ## Animal, which premiered on Netflix on January 26, has so far scored 39.3 million viewing hours from 11.7 million views in the first 10 days which is the highest ever for an Indian title. Previously, Yami Gautam-starrer Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga (direct release) was the most-watched Indian title on Netflix in the first 10 days with 29 million hours. ## Among the post-theatrical Netflix releases, SS Rajamouli's mega-hit RRR was previously the number-one watched movie at the same time with 25.5 million viewing hours, a number Animal has beaten by a long margin. It scored 20.8 million viewing hours in the opening weekend, followed by 18.5 million in the second week (January 29 - February 4). ## Animal is trending in the top 10 list in 17 countries, including number-one in India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Maldives, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Mauritius. Mumbai, February 6 - Director Siddharth Anand's aerial action thriller Fighter has topped 300 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian movie of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles, the movie crossed the triple century box office mark on its 12th day as the total collection now stands at around 300+ crores gross, including 214+ crores gross at the domestic box office and around 86 crores overseas business.## Fighter has become the fourth 300 crores worldwide grosser for both Hrithik and Sid Anand while 7th for Deepika Padukone. The movie had minted approximately 249 crores gross in the extended opening week which was underwhelming given the positive word of mouth. ## At once, it looked like a goner but struck back in the second weekend to remain in the race to become a box office success. Shahid Kapoor Sets Up Three Films After 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'

Mumbai, February 4 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. Billed as an impossible love story, the movie has Kriti Sanon as the female lead and it is scheduled to release on February 9. ## After TBMAUJ, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews' cop action thriller Deva. Produced by Roy Kapur Films in association with Zee Studios, Deva is said to be the official remake of the Malayalam movie Mumbai Police. Shahid plays a police officer while Pooja Hegde is the female lead. It will be hitting theatres on October 11 this year. ## Besides the confirmed TBMAUJ and Deva, the Kabir Singh star has reportedly locked two more films. It is said that Shahid will be headlining Pooja Entertainment's epic film based on Mahabharata. The actor will be playing the role of great warrior Ashwatthama who was the son of Guru Dronacharya and had received the boon of immortality from Lord Shiva himself. ## The yet-to-be-announced film will reportedly be directed by Kannada filmmaker Sachin Ravi, known for directing Rakshit Shetty's action adventure, Avane Srimannarayana (2019). The movie is expected to start filming in August this year for a grand 2025 release in multiple languages. ## According to the latest reports, Shahid is also in advanced talks with the OMG 2 director Amit Rai for a historical action drama film based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
