Box Office: Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' Becomes Third Highest-Gorssing South Indian Movie In GCC
Chennai, August 30 - Superstar Rajinikanth's all-time blockbuster movie "Jailer" is continuing its heroic performance at the box office. The movie is racing towards 600 crores mark, and if this happens, it will become only the second Tamil movie ever to do it, after "2.0".## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Jailer" is not only performing domestically but it is also equally strong at the overseas box office. Now, it has become the all-time third highest-grossing South Indian movie in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries, behind only "KGF: Chapter 2" and "Baahubali 2".## The action drama film has grossed $6.45 million (₹53.30 crores). SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" is an all-time biggest movie in Gulf with approximately $10.47 million, followed by Yash-fronted "KGF 2" which grossed an estimated $8.50 million.## The total worldwide collection of "Jailer" currently stands at around 565 crores gross, including 190 crores overseas collection. The movie will be eyeing to finish around or may be over 600 crores in its lifetime run.## Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon and Yogi Babu in supporting roles while Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff feature in cameo appearances.
