Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha's 'Kushi' Gets A New Release Date

Hyderabad, March 23 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu's romantic-comedy film Kushi will be released on September 1, 2023, in theaters worldwide. ## Directed by Shiva Nirvana, "Kushi" was originally scheduled for Christmas 2022 release, however, due to the delay in the shoot, the makers postponed the release. The filming was recently resumed and the team is progressing at a fast pace to wrap up soon. ## The shoot of the film was paused after Samantha revealed she was suffering from a rare auto-immune disease called myositis. She took a break from acting for her treatment. The actress returned to the shoot and is simultaneously shooting for Amazon Prime Video's "Citadel" web series.## Touted to be a romantic drama, Vijay Deverakonda, and Samantha's film revolves around an unconventional love story with the backdrop of Kashmir. Mumbai, March 23 - Telugu star Nani is heavily promoting his upcoming period action drama film Dasara in the Hindi belt. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odhela, "Dasara" is scheduled to release on March 30 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. ## "Dasara", which also stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, is expected to take a bumper opening at the Telugu box office, however, it won't be that easy in Hindi as it will be clashing with Ajay Devgn's mass action entertainer Bholaa which is slated for same day release. ## "Bholaa" is easily one of the most-anticipated Bollywood films but Nani seems confident about "Dasara". During a recent interview, Nani was asked to comment on Dasara clashing with Bholaa at the Hindi box office to which the Natural Star gave a heartfelt response. ## Nani said that when he came to Mumbai for the first time to promote "Makkhi" (Eaga), Ajay sir was also present in that press conference, so I was introduced here with his support. Mumbai, March 23 - Director Anubhav Sinha's drama film Bheed seems to be going nowhere with its pre-sales and chances for its dull start at the box office looming large. ## Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, "Bheed" is set during the events of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. It tells the story of how several characters in the film deal with the covid-19 lockdown and migrate to a place they feel safe. ## The movie did hit by controversy, however, despite the desperate attempt, it failed to generate any sort of buzz which was clearly visible in the advance booking which finished below 10 lac gross for the opening day. ## Given the fact that there was hardly any awareness among the moviegoers and dull response in the pre-booking, "Bheed" was always going to struggle at the box office and that's what happened with it with the opening of around 30 lacs. Sinha's last directorial, "Anek" (2022) too bombed at the box office and the prospects are not looking promising for his upcoming film either. ## The lack of curiosity for "Bheed" is set to benefit Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Mein Makkaar" for another week before Ajay Devgn's "Bholaa" arrives on March 30. There is Keanu Reeves' "John Wick 4" this weekend but that will mainly acquire the premium screens. Hombale Films' 'Dhoomam' Starring Fahadh Faasil Release Date Revealed

Bengaluru, March 22 - Hombale Films delivered two mega-blockbusters last year in the form of KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara which combed grossed over 1600 crores worldwide in a combined budget of approx. 120 crores. ## After such mega success, Hombale Films has become the synonym of blockbusters and there is genuine excitement regarding its next films. The studio will have a couple of releases this year, and one of them is Fahadh Faasil-fronted drama film "Dhoomam". ## "Dhoomam" was announced in September last year under the direction of Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn". Dhoomam is said to be the revival project of Pawan Kumar who reportedly wanted to make it with either Rakshit Shetty or Dhananjay under the title of C10H14N2 (the chemical formula of Nicotine). ## Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, Hombale Films is planning to release "Dhoomam" in the last week of June, either on June 23 or 30. Mumbai, March 22 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster and Oscar-winning film RRR is having the success of a lifetime. While this period action drama movie is on the historic run at the Japanese box office it is simultaneously trending on Netflix even after many months of release.## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-fronted flick won the Best Original Song Oscar for Naatu Naatu last week. The big win increased the buzz of the movie for another round and the result is clearly visible with its return to the top 10 list of the most-watched non-English films on Netflix last week. ## The "RRR" Hindi version scored 2.67 million viewing hours during the week of March 13 - March 19 and was the 7th most watched non-English movie during the week. Netflix didn't reveal the total viewing hours but one can assume it to be around 100 million so far. ## Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" has now been in the top 10 for 18 weeks on Netflix which is the highest ever for an Indian title. Los Angeles, March 22 - The fourth installment of the neo-noir action thriller franchise John Wick is looking all set to conquer the box office this weekend. ## The Lionsgate/Thunder Road Films/87 Eleven's John Wick: Chapter 4 is aiming at a record opening for the franchise with $120+ million worldwide weekend. At the domestic (North America) box office, John Wick 4 is projected to start with $70+ million and about $55+ million internationally. ## The Keanu Reeves-fronted 'R' rated flick is flying high with critics' reviews. It is the best-reviewed John Wick movie among all four with a critics' score of 96% and certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The all-important audience score too is super solid with 96% currently.## The last film of the franchise, "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum" (2019) grossed $171 million domestically after scoring the franchise's biggest opening weekend of $57 million. Worldwide, the movie tallied $328 million, becoming the highest-grossing installment in a $589 million grossing franchise. ## Surprisingly, John Wick 4 is having very good pre-sales in India for the opening weekend. Mumbai, March 21 - Ranbir Kapoor-fronted romantic-comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar is keeping up with study run at the box office during the weekdays. ## After scoring 92.31 crores net in the extended first week, Luv Ranjan's directorial movie did well on the second weekend to score 16.83 crores, a drop of approx. 61% from like-for-like first Fri-Sun weekend. It held well on its second Monday for approx. 2.40 crores, pushing total net collection to over 111.50 crores in 13 days.## TJMM has entered among the top 5 highest-grossing films of Ranbir Kapoor at the domestic box office. On its second Tuesday, the movie crossed the lifetime net collection of Ranbir's "Barfi!" (112.10 crores) and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (113.20 crores) to become his 4th biggest net scorer. ## Produced by Luv Films and T-Series, TJMM is Ranbir's 7th 100 crores grosser. It will finish as the 4th biggest of him as it is still approx. 75 crores away from topping "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" which looks unlikely. ## Meanwhile, TJMM is the 6th 100 crores net-grossing film of Shraddha Kapoor's career.
