Mumbai, July 21 - One of the busiest actresses in Bollywood, Kriti Sanon has reportedly landed another big film and is set to feature alongside Shahid Kapoor in producer Dinesh Vijan's next. ## It was recently reported that Shahid and Dinesh are teaming up for the first time for a unique love story and now, the makers have roped in Kriti to romance the "Kabir Singh" actor. It will be Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's first film together and this is already looking like a very exciting on-screen pair. ## Kriti has completed the paperwork and the announcement of the movie with its lead pair will be made very soon. "It's a unique love story that called for a fresh casting, and that's when the team unanimously decided on bringing Shahid and Kriti together for the first time. The duo is all excited to commence the journey on this film from October/November this year", reports Pinkvilla. ## The yet-untitled movie will be shot in over a period of 4-5 months in India as well as abroad. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera' Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Mumbai, July 21 - Ranbir Kapoor returns to the big screen after more than 4 years with Yash Raj Films' Shamshera. The Karan Malhotra-directed period action drama film will be hitting worldwide theaters tomorrow (July 22) in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, also in IMAX. ## Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's biographical comedy-drama "Sanju", which was a huge blockbuster at the box office, so the expectations from his upcoming movie are high and should be. The advance booking of the same was opened on July 17 as there was a good buzz for the movie. ## The initial advance booking response for "Shamshera" was decent and at the same time, was better than most of this year's Bollywood movies. However, after that initial promise, the advance booking hasn't picked up as per the wish of the makers as the pre-sales collection of the movie is around 3.50 crores gross only. It might still reach 5 crores before the first show starts. ## The trade experts have been projecting the film to open around 20 crores, which is not looking to happen at this point in time. Taking the advance booking into the account, the movie is tracking to open around 11-12 crores net. However, looking at the subject of the movie which is promising to be a mass entertainer, which often leads to a good spot booking, the movie has a fair chance to take the opening of 15-16 crores. ## Ranbir's last film, "Sanju" opened to a huge 34+ crores, but the scenario was different at that time. This time around, the opening of 15+ crores for "Shamshera" will be considered good and if word of mouth is positive, then the opening weekend has a shot for 55+ crores. The trailer and other promos have left a positive impact on the audiences and this should lead to good footfalls in cinemas. ## In 2022, the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie belongs to Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", which opened to 14.11 crores net in May. "Shamshera" is clearly looking to challenge this record and if this happens, then YRF has a winner in its hands. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist Shuddh Singh and Vaani Kapoor as the female lead among others. ## The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader, and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera. He had recently praised the Allu Arjun-starrer film "Pushpa - The Rise", calling it immaculate.## The actor had earlier said that every frame in "Pushpa: The Rise" has been shot as if it's a matter of life and death. Los Angeles, July 20 - Tom Cruise's action thriller Top Gun Maverick continues its record-breaking spree at the box office, despite running in its 8th week. ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, "Top Gun 2" recently surpassed the initial box office record of James Cameron's "Titanic and now, the blockbuster sequel has stormed into top 10 highest-grossing films of all time at the North American box office by crossing "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". ## "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", which was released in 2017, scored $620.2 million in North America. The Tom Cruise-starrer movie grossed $620.10 million through Monday. As per the estimates, the movie stands at $622 million, including the collection on Tuesday (July 19). ## The highest-grossing film of Tom Cruise's career will not stop by surpassing "Star Wars TLJ" only. Today, it will cross "The Avengers" ($623.4M) to become the 9th highest-grossing movie in Hollywood history. The movie is currently tracking to earn over $660 million in its lifetime domestic run, which will make it the 7th highest-grossing film in North America. ## Meanwhile, the Paramount Pictures film is super strong at the overseas box office as well with a collection to date is $620.6 million, for a worldwide total of $1.24 billion.
