The show will see the return of Kapil Sharma as the host along with Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda, and Sumona Chakravarti with Sudesh Lehri and Gaurav Gera. ## The first episode of the revived show will be aired this Saturday (August 21) on Sony TV with the team of Bhuj: The Pride of India led by superstar Ajay Devgn. 'Bell Bottom' Director Ranjit Tewari Revealed Casting Lara Dutta As Indira Gandhi Was Akshay Kumar's Idea

Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer "Bell Bottom", has released, the transformation of Lara Dutta as Indira Gandhi has become a talking point among the fans on social media. ## In an interview with IANS, director Ranjit M. Tewari shared why Lara Dutta was selected for the role despite her facial features not being similar to those of the late former prime minister. The director revealed casting Lara as Indira Gandhi was Akshay's idea while her transformation could be possible because of the science of prosthetics. ## "This was one of the important casting decisions for my film. If we look at Lara in real life, she carries herself with a lot of dignity and has a very strong personality. Initially, the idea of casting Lara came from Akshay sir, so the credit goes to him. Then I was wondering how to make her look like Mrs. Gandhi. She does not look like her in any way", Tewari said. ## "I had two options: either we make Lara look exactly like Mrs. Gandhi, or create a similar look, keeping the essence of the 'Mrs. Gandhi look'. Then I sat with (the makeup artist) Vikram Gaikwad and after several discussions and photoshop sessions, finally, we went for prosthetics". ## "For the first time, when she had 70 percent of her prosthetics on, I saw Lara in her Mrs. Gandhi look. I was like, 'That's it! We found the look!' I am very happy that the effort that has gone into her look has been appreciated. Lara, on her part, added so much dignity to the character with her performance", the director added. ## Produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Nikkhil Advani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Monisha Advani under the banners of Pooja Entertainment, and Emmay Entertainment, Bell Bottom is inspired by a real-life hijacking of an Indian Airlines flight in 1984 during Indira Gandhi's tenure as PM of India. The movie is believed to be SRK's immediate next after his currently on floors, Pathan, with director Siddharth Anand. Nayanthara has already worked with Atlee in Raja Rani and Bigil, and she is said to be the first choice of director for SRK's film. ## Now, the latest reports say that Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra has also been roped in to join the ensemble team. The actress who's already doing Love Hostel for SRK's banner Red Chillies, will play one of the main characters in this Atlee directorial. She is signed and locked for the film and is very excited to share screen space with the SRK who is set to begin his career's new phase with some global-standard, big-scale, content-driven movies.## Atlee is a popular face down south and has delivered three box office blockbusters with Thalapathy Vijay. The yet-to-be-titled film is the first directorial venture for Balki after Akshay Kumar starrer Padman. ## Meanwhile, ever since the movie was announced, there were rumors that legendary Amitabh Bachchan is also a part of the film considering that he shares a good rapport with the filmmaker and has done guest appearances in Balki's previous films too. Well, the filmmaker has now himself confirmed that Big B is indeed an important part of the film and that his role will be decisive. ## Speaking about Big B's role in the film, the director told Spotboye, "He has to be there. I've cast him in every single film of mine beginning with Cheeni Kum where he was the lead to Pad Man where he made a special appearance. In my thriller, Mr. Bachchan will come in at a crucial juncture in the plot. His presence would be decisive, as it always is in my cinema. I'd never cast him just for the sake of casting him". ## Balki is directing Sunny Deol for the first time. Speaking about his decision of casting Sunny in his film, the Paa director said, "I've never worked with him. I don't know why I thought of him. But this was a role that needed a man with an understated machismo. Strong yet vulnerable. A man of a few words whose presence alone makes people pay attention to him. Sunny can command respect without raising his voice or fists. I wanted that personality for this character". ## The film will also have his first collaboration with Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan. "Dulquer is one of the most talented actors today. I wanted to work with him for the longest time. This thriller requires Dulquer presence. His fans will see him in an entirely new light", reveals Balki.## Written by R Balki and co-written by Rishi Virmani and Raja Sen, the movie also has Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt as the female leads. Mumbai, August 17, 2021: The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Tuesday (August 17), has announced the fixtures of the Men's T20 World Cup 2021. The marquee tournament, scheduled to be played in the UAE and Oman, will get underway from 17 October, with the Final to be played in Dubai on 14 November. ## The blockbuster face-off between India and Pakistan of the Super 12 stage, will take place on October 24 in Dubai at 6 pm local time. The tournament will begin with the Round 1 Group B encounter between hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea at 2 pm local time on 17 October, with Scotland and Bangladesh, the other teams in Group B, clashing in the evening match at 6 pm. ## Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and Namibia - making up Group A - will be in action in Abu Dhabi the next day, with Round 1 matches running till 22 October. Recently, it was reported that Badhaai Ho actor would be reuniting with Anand L Rai for a multi-genre film, which Rai would produce. ## Now, the latest development suggests that Ayushmann's film with Rai is a big-scale action film, which will mark the actor's first attempt in the action genre. The movie is said to be different from the regular masala action movies and has reportadly been titled, "Action Hero". Paatal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat has been roped in to play the antagonist in this film. ## According to a source quoted by the peeping moon, "Ayushmann is gradually trying to change his image and exploring different genres to prove his versatility as an actor, and this action film is going to be the starting point towards that. The actor will be seen in a distinct look in this film and will undergo rigorous physical training before its principal photography begins later this year. It's Jaideep Ahlawat playing the villain and Ayushmann must build up to look believable against him". ## Anirudh Iyer Ganapathy is said to be making his directorial debut with this movie and he has already started the pre-production. The makers are planning to shoot the movie in the UK sometime in December. Action Hero is expected to have an ensemble supporting cast alongside Ayushmann and Jaideep. ## Meanwhile, Ayushmann is gearing up for the release of his next film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, co-starring Vaani Kapoor. Los Angeles, August 17, 2021: Marvel Studios' next superhero gem, Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, is getting nearer to its much-awaited outright theatrical release, which is September 3. The Simu Liu fronted is touted to be a historical moment in MCU as it is the first Marvel film to feature an all Asian and Asian-American cast. ## Shang Chi, which is making its debut in MCU, was first announced by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, where Kevin Feige confirmed Simu Liu would play the Master of Kung Fu. The latest addition to the MCU's growing roster of heroes will rise in this origin story set after Avengers: Endgame when his father Wenwu (Tony Leung), who is the real Mandarin and leader of the Ten Rings, calls him back into action. ## It is also the first Marvel movie to get an exclusive theatrical release for 45-days in the pandemic era, unlike Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow, which debuted on Disney+ premiere access and in theaters on the same day. Disney CEO Bob Chapek, however, has called Shang Chi's release an "experiment" amid the covid-19 pandemic, which got a response from the lead actor Simu Liu, who didn't seem too pleased with CEO's comment. ## Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi alongside Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Leung in prominant roles. Additionally, Tim Roth reprises his role as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk (2008) and will be seen fighting with Shang Chi in the film. ## Marvel Studios held the world premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in Los Angeles on Monday, August 16. The cast, crew, and many other celebrities, as well as select entertainment journalists, attended the first showing of the highly anticipated MCU movie. Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring as the female lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish is playing a matchmaker while Tamannah essays the role of a divorce lawyer. However, in recent years, he has focused more on doing action films than any other genre. From the last couple of years, there are reports that the actor is looking to return to the comedy genre that seems the most natural to him, after his phenomenal work in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Ready, Kick, and Partner. ## Well, it seems that his search for a comedy film is finally over as he is in talks with director Anees Bazmee for an outright comic caper. According to reports, Salman will reprise his iconic charactor Prem in Bazmee's film that will be produced by his home banner Salman Khan Films in association with Zee Studios and Murad Khetani. ## "After acting in comedies like Andaz Apna Apna, Biwi No. 1, Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Partner and Ready, Salman has been keen to do another comedy for a while now. He was on the lookout for the right script and it seems to have finally come his way as he has been in advanced conversation with Anees Bazmee and other stakeholders over the last month for this comic entertainer", says to a source quoted in Pinkvilla. ## Earlier, there were reports that Salman will collaborate with Murad Khetani for the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster Master. However, the latest development suggests that has backed out from the project as he doesn't want to do direct remakes anymore. With this comedy, the two have finally arrived on the same page, though the paperwork is still underway. The movie is expected to go on floors towards the end of next year after Salman completes his pending projects. ## Meanwhile, Salman and Anees previously collaborated on the films like No Entry and Ready and both of the films were box office hits. Mumbai, August 15, 2021: One of the leading Bollywood film producers, Karan Johar's recently produced "Shershaah" is getting rave reviews. The movie, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, is based on the life of army captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War. Before Shershaah, Karan had produced patriotic films like the Raazi, Kesari, and Gunjan Saxena, which became blockbusters. ## Now, according to reports, the renowned filmmaker is developing a script on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, under his production banner Dharma Productions. Usha Mehta was a Gandhian and freedom fighter of India who ran an underground pirate radio called Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement and gave tough time to the British Government. ## Post-Independence, Usha Mehta was conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of India. It is a heroic story of India's one of the unsung heroes and the creative team at Dharma has been working on this script for a while now. The script is said to be based on the play, Khar Khar, written by Amatya Goradia and Pritesh Sodha. The movie will be directed by Kannan Iyer, who is also writing the script with Darab Farooqui, as per pinkvilla. ## For Usha Mehta's biopic, Dharma Productions is currently in search of a top A-list actress who can do justice to the charactor. Apart from Mehta's biopic, Karan recently announced the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought legendary courtroom battle to uncover the truth about Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. ## Interestingly, it's not only Karan Johar who is bringing freedom fighters to life. Earlier in the day, producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri also announced a film franchise, Azad Hind, as a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence fight. The first film in the franchise will bring to life the untold story of Veerangana Durgawati Devi popularly called Durga Bhabhi. ## Meanwhile, Karan Johar is gearing up to begin his directorial return film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
