Sushant Singh Rajput's Life And Death Mystery Interest Filmmakers

Bollywood film industry has always been quick to make movies on the life of people from the entertainment industry or someone who can offer them a slice of reality for its fiction screen. In the past, movies like "Talvar", "Black Friday", "No One Killed Jessica", and "Main Aur Charles" have been made that grabbed a lot of attention. ## Keeping the trend continue, several filmmakers are taking a lot of interest and have announced projects based on the life and death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput whose case is still under investigation, with new developments cropping up every day. ## According to IANS, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) have been registered several titles to set up productions capturing the late actor's life and death.## Some of the titles around Sushant's death that IMPPA received for approval are (according to an IANS report), "Sushant Singh Rajput Biography", "Sushant", "Rajput: The Truth Wins", and "The Unsolved Mystery". This is besides three films that were already announced a while back, allegedly bearing a certain likeness with Sushant's life. These are "Nyay: The Justice", "Shashank", and "Suicide Or Murder".## Trade analyst Rajesh Thadani spoke to IANS, giving the reasons behind movies on real-life stories, "Real life stories are topical, with everyone having a high level of interest in these incidents. So, people try to come up with projects based on real-life cases and incidents. People just try to capitalize on that, and with lack of new stories, they look at real-life stories".## However, the list of projects based on Sushant's life, is lacking a Bollywood biggie, associated with it or backing it. As of now, these productions are being helmed by fringe filmmakers.## Explaining this, Thadani said to IANS, "The case is very controversial, and it is against the industry, what with the film industry getting a lot of flak in the case. I think that is why they are staying away from it, and others are coming forward".## Another incident that is attracting filmmakers is the gangster Vikash Dubey who was recently encountered by Utter Pradesh Police. Titles received for approval at IMPPA include "Kanpur Ka Vikas Dubey", "Mara Gaya Vikas Dubey", "Mai Hoon Vikas Dubey Kanpurwala", "Most Wanted Vikas Dubey", "Vikas Dubey", and "Bahubali Vikas Dubey".## Stay tuned...

'The Disciple' becomes the first Indian film after Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Mathilukal in 1990 to win this award. ## Tamhane told IANS, "I want to thank the FIPRESCI and its jury members from the bottom of my heart for their continued support for our work. This is a very special honor for us given that the jury for this award comprises film critics and journalists from around the world. The Sushant Singh Rajput death case has taken a dramatic turn with the new revelations of drug angle after Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp chat got revealed which led the Narcotics Control Bureau to begin the investigation.## Soon after NCB started the investigation, it has arrested Rhea, along with her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Dipesh Sawant and a few drug peddlers in connection with the drug angle linked to Sushant's death. ## In the latest development in the drug-related angle, according to Zee News, the actress has reportedly confessed before the central probe agency that actress Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh along with designer Simone Khambatta, Sushant's friend and former manager Rohini Iyer, and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra consumed narcotics substance. ## Rhea in her confession told NCB that Sara who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, had accompanied Sushant Singh Rajput and other friends to Thailand. It is to be noted that Rhea while speaking to a news channel, had stated that Sushant used to live his life like a king-size and had spent Rs 70 lakh on an all-boys' trip to Thailand. ## Earlier this month, Sushant's friend Samuel Haokip had claimed that Sushant and Sara were in love with each other during the 'Kedarnath' shoot.## Zee News also claimed that Rhea told the agency that 80 percent of Bollywood stars are on drugs. There are also reports that NCB is set to summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars in the drug investigations. This time Rani Mukerji will reprise the role of Babli Sr. while Saif Ali Khan along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari Wagh are the new additions. ## "As luck would have it, we had to wrap by shooting a fun song sequence and there was no better way to meet the entire team again and bring the house down with a lot of positivity, joy, and madness", Sharvari Wagh told Variety. ## Varun V. Sharma who is making his directorial debut had previously served as chief assistant director on YRF's "Tiger Zinda Hai" starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Warner Bros. has again postponed the release date of "Wonder Woman 1984". The superhero sequel starring Gal Gadot, which was expected to hit the big screen on 2 October 2020, will now touch down in theaters on 25 December 2020, as reported by Variety.## "Patty (Jenkins) is an exceptional filmmaker and with Wonder Woman 1984 she has delivered an incredibly dynamic film that moviegoers of all ages around the world will absolutely love", said Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group chairman. "We're very proud of the film and look forward to bringing it to audiences for the holidays".## Warner Bros. had recently released "Tenet" on the big screen, marking the first major blockbuster to debut since movie theaters closed in March due to the pandemic. The $200 million-budgeted film, from director Christopher Nolan, launched over Labor Day weekend in the U.S. to a muted $20 million. Sources say the studio was waiting to assess ticket sales for "Tenet" before making a decision about moving "Wonder Woman", reported Variety. ## And now, with the delay of "Wonder Woman 1984", "Tenet" won't face much competition among ticket buyers and could see a boost in sales in the coming weeks. For now, Disney and Marvel's comic book adventure "Black Widow" on November 6 is the next major film on calendars.## "Wonder Women 1984" is directed by Patty Jenkins who also helmed the original Wonder Woman. The NCB Likely To Summon 25 A-Listers From Bollywood

The Sushant Singh Rajput death case seems to be unfolding in the last couple of weeks. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) that has arrested Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty along with others for usage and procurement of drugs in the case have named is likely to summon more people from Bollywood. ## According to a report in a leading news channel, Rhea and her brother have named 25 Bollywood A-listers who use and procure drugs and are involved in the peddling of drugs too. With these reports doing the rounds, the news channel further said that the NCB is set to summon these people soon. ## As per the reports, a meeting is currently underway in Delhi about the same issue. The meeting will essentially be focusing on how they will be proceeding with the investigation forward. For now, the report says that the list of 25 Bollywood A-listers has been sent to top officials of the NCB.## NCB is probing the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
