Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' Post Theatrical Streaming Deal Locked At Hefty Price

Hyderabad, August 31 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule post-theatrical streaming deal has officially been locked in all languages.## As reported earlier, Netflix has bought the streaming rights of this highly-anticipated blockbuster in all languages. According to the latest reliable Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 270 crores to acquire the post-theatrical rights of the movie. ## Earlier, there were reports that the makers were quoting 250-300 crores price for the streaming rights and now, it has finally been locked in the middle of it. This is said to be the biggest-ever single streaming deal for an Indian movie across all languages. ## Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 is the continuation of the superhit Pushpa - The Rise which was released in 2021. The Hindi version of the movie was a big success and Pushpa 2 is expected to be among the biggest box office grossers in Hindi.## Allu Arjun plays the titular role in the movie which also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist. Prabhas-Fronted 'Kalki 2' Shoot and Release Date Plans Announced

Hyderabad, August 30 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has been a massive box office success and the way it concluded has increased the excitement for its sequel to the next level, however, there is a catch. ## While the buzz around Kalki 2 is at an all-time high, the producers have confirmed that the movie won't be hitting the big screens until 2028. ## Producers and sister duo Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies were present at the screening of Kalki 2898 AD at the Moscow Film Festival where they said that the filming of Kalki 2 will start in the next five or six months, around January or February 2025. (via News18). ## Kalki 2898 AD was shot in a lengthy period of 3 years and unconfirmed reports have said that the sequel will take another 3 years before it gets ready to hit the screens. Nag Ashwin's Next Directorial Is Not 'Kalki 2'

Hyderabad, August 12 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's Murari has become the record Telugu re-release grosser after the excellent opening weekend at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Krishna Vamsi, Murari was re-released on August 9 on Mahesh Babu's 49th birthday and it scored approximately 5.25 crores worldwide on its opening day. The movie remained solid on Saturday to score another approximately 1.85 crores gross. ## On Sunday, the collection further dropped but it was solid with approximately 90 lakh which took its total re-release worldwide cume to 8 crores gross. In India, it has minted approximately 7.30 crores while overseas collection is 70 lakh.## As said, Murari's re-release collection of 8 crores is now the highest for any Telugu re-release title, surpassing Pawan Kalyan's Kushi which scored around 7.50 crores worldwide. It is heading towards finishing in the double-digit collection which is an excellent result.## Murari features Mahesh Babu in the title role along with Sonali Bendre in her Telugu debut, Lakshmi, Sukumari, Kaikala Satyanarayana, and Gollapudi Maruthi Rao in the key roles. Hyderabad, August 11 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's 2001 romantic drama thriller film Murari was re-released on August 9 and scored one of the biggest openings for a Telugu re-release title. ## Directed by Krishna Vamsi, Murari grossed approximately 4.75 crores in India and 5.25 crores worldwide on its first day of re-release, and continuing this momentum, the movie remained rock solid on its second day as well. ## On its second day (Saturday), the movie minted approximately 1.75 crores gross collection at the domestic box office. This takes the movie's total domestic collection to approximately 6.50 crores, and including 60 lakh overseas gross, the movie has scored 7.10 crores worldwide in the 2 days of its re-release.## Among the recent Telugu re-release films, Murari is already the second-biggest-grosser, as per the Telugu box office portal T2BLive. Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Censor Details With Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Hyderabad, August 8 - Actor Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster movie iSmart Shankar. Scheduled to be released on August 15, Double iSmart also features Sanjay Dutt in his Telugu debut and Kavya Thapar in prominent roles.## Double iSmart is an important movie for both Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh and they seem to have gone all out for this mass entertainer just like the first part. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Beats 'Jawan' To Become 4th Biggest Grosser In India

Mumbai, August 6 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has become the 4th highest-grossing movie ever at the Indian box office, beating megastar Shah Rukh Khan-led 2023's mega-blockbuster Jawan. ## The domestic box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 760 crores gross (640 crores net) in all languages after 40 days, which takes it past the entire run of Jawan's 760 crores gross.
