Manoj Bajapyee's Digital Blockbuster 'Bandaa' Gets Post-OTT Theatrical Release

Mumbai, June 1 - Manoj Bajpayee-fronted courtroom-drama film Bandaa/Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai was released on May 23 directly on ZEE5. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film is ruling the viewership and is one of the most-watched films of all time on the streamer. ## Now, a week after the film's digital debut, "Bandaa" is unprecedently getting a limited theatrical release on June 2. It is one of the rarest moments when a film is getting a theatrical release after originally debuting directly on the OTT platform. ## "Bandaa" is the story of a five-year-long standalone fight of a regular session court lawyer who stands for the truth, and his struggle to bring justice to the girls who were wronged by a godman. Ranveer Singh Locks His Next Films After 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'

Mumbai, June 1 - Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which is expected to score a much-needed hit for him after back-to-back failures. Directed by Karan Johar, RRKPK will hit screens on July 28 this year. ## The actor hasn't officially announced his next film yet but he said to have locked in two films which will be his immediate next after RRKPK. It is well known to everyone that Ranveer has been in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the period musical drama film Baiju Bawra, and according to Pinkvilla, the actor has finally on board the movie. There were some issues regarding the budget which have now been solved. ## Alia Bhatt has already been locked in to play the female lead alongside Ranveer in the film which is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2024. It will be Ranveer and Alia's third film after "Gully Boy" and "RRKPK". Mumbai, May 30 - After the massive response to Jai Shri Ram song a week ago, the new song Ram Siya Ram from director Om Raut's Adipurush was launched yesterday, and as expected, it turned out to be another massive hit for the makers. ## Sung and composed by Sachet-Parampara from the lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, Ram Siya Ram was launched on T-Series' YouTube channel, and in the first 24 hours, it received huge 38+ million views in all languages, which is the second highest ever for a movie song in India. ## The Hindi version of the song got little over 32 million views in 24 hours, which is the second highest ever after the film's first song Jai Shri Ram which scored around 32.20 million views. His last film, "Selfiee" was an outright disaster despite getting mixed to positive reviews. ## Akshay believed that in the post covid-19 pandemic, the audience's taste has changed and they want to watch only larger-than-life films in theaters. He said that the change is happening in the industry and the movies are being planned accordingly. The covid was a huge setback but Akshay is hopeful that by the end of 2024, the industry will have stability and would be in a better position than it is today.## Box office results aside, the "Ram Setu" actor has been accused of charging high upfront fees which lead to an increase in budget and if the movie fails it results in huge losses to the makers. However, the actor revealed that he is not charging upfront fees for quite some time now and all the rumors about his remuneration are not true. ## "It's not true. I am not charging upfront. I am the partner in the films. If Selfiee has flopped, I will not get money or will get just 10% of what my fee was. Today, if you come to me with an idea and if we work on the film, we will work as partners and release it together. If it works, both of us will earn. If not, we both will earn less or not at all. But it won't go in minus", he said in an interview with Mint. ## He further said that despite the fact that Selfiee and Rakshabandhan did not work at the box office, Disney or Zee have not lost money because of these films as he was the one who didn't earn because of not charging upfront. Box Office: The Kerala Story Scored Fantastic Third Week Domestically

Mumbai, May 26 - Director Sudipto Sen's blockbuster The Kerala Story continues to make money at the box office after putting up a solid third-week collection. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time. This pushed the total net collection of "The Kerala Story" to over 212 crores, which makes it the 24th highest-earning Hindi of all time. ## "The Kerala Story" will look to top "The Kashmir Files" in its lifetime run. TKF scored approx. 252 crores net collection, which is the 16th highest-ever for a Hindi movie. The movie marks Karan Johar's directorial return after 7 years of "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".## On this special occasion, the filmmaker looks back at his journey as a director and announced that the first look teaser poster of RRKPK will be released tomorrow (May 25) which also happens to be his 51st birthday. Makers Lock Female Cast For Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force'

Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently kicked off the shooting of Maddock Film's ambitious aerial action thriller Sky Force which is being directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur. ## The movie is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force based on true events. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer while it was revealed recently that Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya has been roped in to play a key role in his acting debut. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the makers have also locked the female cast. The report revealed that Akshay's former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan have been roped in to play the female leading roles in the movie. ## Nimrat previously starred alongside in the "Airlift" while Sara Ali Khan featured with the superstar in "Atragni Re". Box Office: The Kerala Story Crosses 200 Crores Net Collection

Mumbai, May 22 - The Kerala Story is continuing to do well at the box office after scoring another fantastic third weekend. It scored around 27 crores net in its third weekend and takes the total collection to over 198 crores in just 17 days. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story will cross the 200 crores net mark sometime today and will become only the 2nd Bollywood as well as the Indian movie of 2023 to reach this milestone. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster Pathaan is currently the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year with over 540 crores net. ## The Adash Sharma-fronted is also the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year at the worldwide box office. Yash Raj Films Locks Release Date of Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's 'War 2'

Mumbai, May 21 - Yash Raj Films' blockbuster sequel War 2 locks Republic Day 2025 weekend as the release date. ## The blockbuster spy thriller has been in the news over the last few weeks regarding its casting after the studio pulled off a casting coup for this biggie by bringing Telugu superstar Jr. NTR on board to lock horns with Hrithik Roshan. ## The "Brahmastra" director Ayan Mukerji was revealed as the director who will be helming the sequel which will go on floors by November or December this year. Mumbai, May 18 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story crossed the 200 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office within two weeks, becoming only the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The movie, based on true incidents, hits the double-century mark on its 13th day and currently stands at a little over 200 crores gross mark. In India, The Kerala Story has grossed approx. 194 crores (164.59 crores net) while the overseas collection is approx. 6 crores in 13 days.## The Kerala Story was released on May 12 in overseas markets and will debut in the UK on May 19.
