Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR To Have A Dance Face-Off In YRF's 'War 2'

Mumbai, April 21 - Yash Raj Films' War (2019) was one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and the dance number Jai Jai Shiv Shankar featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff emerged as one of the biggest chartbuster songs in recent times. ## The sequel to War has already gone on floors with Ayan Mukerji directing this time. Hrithik Roshan is reprising his role while Telugu superstar Jr. NTR making his Hindi debut with War 2. NTR's Naatu Naatu song in his last film RRR which went on to win Oscars proved to be a rage worldwide and now, the duo of Hrithik and Jr. NTR is set to feature in a dance number in the upcoming movie. ## According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the two stars will have a dance face-off in War 2 as the makers have organically come up with a situation in the film where both of them will be seen dancing to a massy song along the lines of Jai Jai Shiv Shankar and Naatu Naatu. Writer Vijayendra Prasad Shares A Big Update On Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and Rowdy Rathore 2

Mumbai, April 20 - Director Kabir Khan's comedy-drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of the most loved films of superstar Salman Khan. Released in 2015, the movie won several accolades and was a big box office blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of over 900 crores. ## The film was a massive success and won the hearts of the audiences with its emotional story, penned by Vijayendra Prasad. Yami Gautam-Starrer 'Article 370' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection

Mumbai, April 19 - Yami Gautam-fronted political thriller Article 370 has completed its box office journey with a worldwide collection of over 100 crores gross, turning out to be a bonafide success. ## Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 was released on February 23 with favourable critics' reviews and audience word of mouth. It took a good opening of around 6 crores net, followed by the opening week of around 35.50 crores net. ## After the good first week, the movie showed a stronghold in the second week with a drop of just 37% for 22.30 crores net and it continued to show the same trend over the next few weeks despite the arrival of new films. Box Office: Maidaan First Week Collection

Mumbai, April 19 - It was a super low turnaround at the box office on Eid 2024 as both tentpole films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, bombed without making much noise. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan received a positive reception from critics as well as from audiences, however, it was all doom and gloom at the box office for the movie. In its extended 8-day first week, the movie scored low approximately 28.35 crores net. ## Overseas, Maidaan remained poor with an estimated 7 crores gross collection, for around 40.50 crores worldwide total. Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan First Week Collection

Mumbai, April 19 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has had a disappointing first-week collection at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. Despite the Eid release and strong cast and crew, the movie failed to cash in on the opportunity. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action thriller scored a little under 50 crores net collection in all versions, including an estimated 49.25 crores in Hindi in the extended 8-day first week. Ideally, for a film like BMCM, this should have been a 2-day collection. ## At the overseas box office, BMCM was released through Yash Raj Films but the response was underwhelming as it scored an estimated 27 crores in the first week. Mumbai, April 15 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's cop action drama Singham Again, directed by maverick Rohit Shetty, is unlikely to clash with Allu Arjun's Pan India monster, Pushpa 2 - The Rule this August as it has reportedly been postponed from its August 15 date. ## According to reports, Singham 3 won't be ready for release in August and hence, the makers have decided to postpone it. Mumbai, April 14 - Pooja Entertainment's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has a low-extended first weekend at the domestic box office with a net collection of 40.25+ crores. The movie failed to overcome mixed to negative reception despite the Eid weekend. ## The Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-starrer hasn't grown much on its first Sunday with a collection similar to yesterday for an estimated 8.75-9.25 crores net. The mass centres have contributed more to the overall total but are nowhere near the potential of a film featuring an A-list star cast with a blockbuster director. ## Given the flat trend over the weekend, it is clear that the movie hasn't been able to connect with the audiences, be it multiplex or mass. Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan Third Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 13 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan shows a jump of around 15% on its first Saturday which might not be good enough after the underwhelming first two days for a movie carrying massive cost. ## According to early estimates, Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial flick scored 8.50-9 crores net, pushing the total to around 31.75 crores in 3-days. Ideally, the movie should have scored somewhere close to the opening day collection to get close to 50 crores opening weekend but it will now fall well short of that target. ## The opening weekend of BMCM is heading towards 40-43 crores net which is poor for the size of the movie. The biz on Monday will give a fair idea of where the film is heading as far as the lifetime collection is concerned. ## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan sees a big jump of around 80% on its third day, however, the overall collection remains on the lower side with an estimated 5.50-6 crores net. The big jump was a must for the film after earning nowhere near its potential in the first two days. ## The total collection of the film after three days is over 15.50 crores net which is still very poor for a big-budget film. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, April 13 - Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama Baby John has reportedly been postponed from its May 31st release. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie is still in production and needs some more time to be completed. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Baby John has so far been shot for more than 75 days since August 2023 but still has 10-12 days of shooting remaining, which is expected to be wrapped up by April-end. The movie will follow an extensive post-production. ## Also starring Keerthy Suresh (Bollywood debut) and Wamiqa Gabbi among others, the makers are now reportedly looking to release the film in June/July but the exact date will be locked once the shoot is wrapped up. Mumbai, April 12 - After the underwhelming Eid opening day, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan dropped by over 50% on its second day which is a worrying sign for the film's box office prospects. ## According to early estimates, BMCM scores around 7 crores net collection on its first Friday, pushing the total to around 22.50 crores net in two days. The movie received mixed to negative word of mouth which has started showing its effect from the second day itself despite the Eid buzz. ## The film needs to perform exceptionally well on Saturday and Sunday to take the opening weekend past 50 crores mark, however, it won't be easy as advances for the weekend are currently lower than the opening day. ## Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan too couldn't make a move after the disappointing first-day collection of approximately 4.50 crores net. Warner Bros. In Talks To Distribute Epic 'Ramayana' Internationally

Mumbai, April 12 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is shaping up to be a global phenomenon with every development around it. In India, the film is already a hot topic with its casting along with Kannada superstar Yash coming on board to co-produce and starring in it. ## Producer Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus is working day and night to make Ramayana a global force and according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is in talks with Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Yash Officially Joins 'Ramayana' As Co-Producer And Actor

Mumbai, April 12 - Kannada superstar and producer, Yash has officially joined director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The actor-filmmaker's Monster Mind Creations will co-produce with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios to bring this epic to global audiences. ## The upcoming adaptation of Ramayana is touted to be a dream project, not just for the talent involved but for Indian cinema overall. Mumbai, April 11 - The Bollywood box office sees a low response on Eid day as both the big releases of the day, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Maidaan fail to capture the attention of moviegoers with underwhelming numbers. ## Both films are struggling to reach the 20 crore net mark combined which is disappointing. According to early estimates, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff-fronted BMCM scores around 15-16 crores net collection, all thanks to the last-minute push in advances and Eid holiday factor. ## After the initial response in pre-sales, BMCM was heading for a low double-digit start but got some sort of momentum in the final hours and spot booking to get a little push in the collection. Box Office: Crew Hits 100 Crore Worldwide Gross

Mumbai, April 7 - In one of the major surprises of the year, Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon-fronted heist comedy film Crew has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office and emerged as a hit venture for the makers. ## Directed by Lootcase fame Rajesh A Krishnan, the all-female-led entertainer reached the 100 crore gross globally on its 10th day and becomes the 5th Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Fighter, Shaitaan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Article 370. ## Crew has grossed approximately 69 crores (including an estimated second Sunday collection) in India and an estimated 36 crores overseas for 105+ crores worldwide gross in 10 days. He is currently basking on the success of Shaitaan, and at the same time, gearing up for the release of the long-awaited sports biopic Maidaan, scheduled for April 10.## Apart from the upcoming release, Ajay Devgn is in the process of spearheading his next films. The actor is currently shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2, both scheduled to release in theatres in the second half of 2024. ## Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, AD is all set to start shooting for two much-awaited films, De De Pyaar De 2, and Son of Sardar 2, in June this year in London. "Ajay will wrap up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2 by the end of May. He will be off to London in June to commence work on De De Pyaar De 2 followed by Son of Sardar 2", the reports state. ## De De Pyaar De 2, which will be directed by debutante Anushul Sharma, will have a 15-day schedule in London, and after calling a wrap on the first schedule of DDPD2, Ajay Devgn will move on to Son of Sardar 2.
