Mumbai, May 4 - Kartik Aaryan has begun preparation for the biographical sports drama film Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan. The movie is about a man who faced one adversary after another with an undying spirit. His unwavering zeal and never-give-up attitude led to India's first individual gold medal in any form of the Olympics. ## On Saturday (May 4), Kartik shared a picture while dubbing for the trailer of Chandu Champion and with this, the actor re-confirmed the release of the movie which is June 14, 2024. The film is touted to be a fun-filled romantic comedy, along the lines of the Dulhania film series. Starring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is getting benefitted from the lean phase of new movies. ## Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, Crew minted approximately 3 crores net, dropping around 24% in its 5th week. Mumbai, May 3 - Aamir Khan's production venture, Laapataa Ladies was released theatrically on March 1st before going to digital after the 8 weeks of the box office run. However, in a positive indication, the movie witnessed a minor jump in its 9th week after the OTT release. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies has been hailed as one of the best Indian films of 2024 but the lack of star power proved a roadblock in its box office journey. However, after the spread of word of mouth due to the OTT release, the movie has witnessed an upward trend at the box office. ## In its 9th week, the rural comedy-drama jumped by around 10% but the overall collection remained low with approximately 37 lakh. Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Hits 100 Crore Worldwide Gross

Mumbai, April 25 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's fronted action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has crossed 100 crores at the worldwide box office but it is not a chest-thumping achievement due to the poor progress in reaching the mark. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has taken 14/15 days to reach 100 crores worldwide, a target which should have been achieved in the opening weekend itself but the chances were dismissed after the below-average start. ## The movie has grossed around 69 crores at the domestic box office and an estimated 31 crores overseas. BMCM is the 6th Bollywood film of 2024 to hit 100 crores worldwide and for Akshay Kumar, it is his first of 2024 and 3rd movie since the covid-19 pandemic. Makers Officially Confirm Postponement Of Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' With A New Poster

Mumbai, April 24 - Recently, it was reported that the release date of Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama film Baby John would be postponed from May 31st as the shoot was still going on. Now, the makers have officially confirmed the development on the occasion of Varun Dhawan's birthday today. ## On April 24, the makers unveiled a new poster featuring Varun Dhawan with no mention of the release date, confirming the postponement. As per the recent reports, the team is now eyeing to release the film in June/July this year. ## Baby John is directed by Tamil director Kalees and produced by Atlee's A For Apple Studios in association with Cine1 Studios and Jio Studios. The movie stars Varun Dhawan in the title role alongside Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in the female lead roles. ## The movie is said to be the remake of Tamil movie Theri starring Thalapathy Vijay.
