Box Office: Mr and Mrs Mahi Opening Day Early Estimates
Mumbai, May 31 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer sports romantic drama Mr and Mrs Mahi has taken a good start at the domestic box office, thanks to the Cinema Lovers Day which boosted the footfalls due to lower ticket prices. ## The movie witnessed excellent occupancy throughout the day and scored an estimated 6.75-7.25 crores net collection on its opening day. It has comfortably beaten the opening day collection of Yami Gautam-fronted Article 370, the last Bollywood film to get cinema day benefit to score approximately 6 crores net. ## Mr and Mrs Mahi mainly targeted multiplex audiences and thanks to the discounted ticket prices, the movie brought its target audience to the theatres on its opening day. The initial word of mouth for the movie seems to be positive but the real test of it will be after the weekend. ## The competition also does not look threatening to the movie, however, the new release, Savi takes a decent opening of around 1.50 crores net. The holdover Srikanth, which also stars Rajkummar Rao, also got a cinema day boost and minted approximately 1.25+ crores net on its 22nd day. ## Stay tuned...
