Mumbai, March 14 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan impressed one and all with his performance in director Nag Ashwin's epic Kalki 2898 AD which was released last year. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. It will have a month-long schedule and he will rejoin the filming with other actors later.## Kalki 2 will mainly focus on the conflict between Prabhas' Bhairava, Big B's Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan's supreme Yaskin. Hyderabad, March 14 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is all set to re-release on the big screen on March 21. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, was originally released in December 2023 and emerged as a box office hit with over 600 crores gross collection worldwide.## Salaar has been trending on Disney Plus Hotstar for more than a year now as the movie is slowly becoming popular nationwide. Cashing on this opportunity, the makers decided to re-release it across the country and the decision is proving right as it's off to a strong start in the pre-sales. ## Eight days ahead of the re-release, the bookings for the film opened and on its first day, it sold over 25K tickets on the first day. Hyderabad, February 25 - Over the last few months, there have been reports of Pan India superstar Prabhas teaming up with Hanuman director Prasanth Varma for a big-budget film. The filmmaker also teased the collaboration in a recent interview without naming the actor. ## Now, the latest development is that the project in question has officially been confirmed. According to the latest Telugu media reports, the look test of Prabhas for the movie is scheduled for either Wednesday or Thursday in Hyderabad. ## It is said that Hombale Films will be producing this movie. Hyderabad, January 2 - Pushpa 2 has now officially become the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office, beating SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion. The Allu Arjun-starrer had already crossed BB2 in terms of net collection in 16 days. ## Starring Prabhas, Baahubali 2 grossed approximately 1417 crores (1030 crores net) in India back in 2017. This record remained unbeatable for more than 7 years and at once, looked like would remain untouched for some more time but Pushpa 2 had other ideas. ## The action drama film has topped BB2 on its 29th day, becoming the biggest blockbuster in India. Hyderabad, December 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the second highest-grossing film in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 23 days.## The Sukumar's directorial action drama has grossed approximately 307+ crores in AP-TG in 23 days (including the 4th Friday) as the second biggest grosser, seating between two SS Rajamouli's directorial ventures - Baahubali 2 and RRR. ## Pushpa 2 took one of the biggest openings in Telugu states approximately 89 crores (including previews), before showing a little drop over the first weekend. However, once the ticket prices lowered, the film showed a better trend and remained the first choice of moviegoers since then. ## With no big film until the Sankranthi festival, Pushpa 2 is expected to continue to score and will look to finish around 350 crores gross. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film was one of the highest-grossing Indian titles in 2023 with over 600 crores gross, however, the director expected. ## In a special interview with Kairam Vaashi on the occasion of Salaar's first anniversary, Prashanth Neel opened up about the film's box office performance. It is worth noting that it was Neel's first movie since the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 and his combination with Prabhas was expected to set the box office on fire. ## While Salaar emerged as a box office success, Neel expressed his disappointment and said that he was not completely happy with the performance as he expected more since a lot of hard work was put into it. However, the maverick filmmaker is super confident on Salaar 2 which is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## "I decided to make Salaar2 into one of my best movies. Chennai, December 20 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has become the highest-grossing South Indian film and the 10th biggest Indian grosser at the Chinese box office. The film has exceeded expectations in the Mainland and is crawling towards the 100 crore mark. ## Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, Maharaja has grossed approximately 85.75 crores ($10.12 million) through the third Thursday (21 days) in China, outgrossing the lifetime total of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (80.50 crores gross) to become the biggest South Indian grosser there. ## The film's pace at the box office has slowed, so it needs to be seen if it goes on to touch the 100 crore mark in China. If it gets there, it will become the 9th biggest Indian grosser by outgrossing Toilet Ek Prem Katha (100+ crores gross). Aamir Khan's Dangal sits on the top with a mammoth 1300+ crores gross, a record which might never be broken. ## Meanwhile, Maharaja is nearing 200 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office.
