A Shortened Version of 'Indian 2' To Be Played In Theaters After Makers Trimmed 20 Minutes
Chennai, July 13 - Veteran actor Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 has had a good opening at the worldwide box office with 56+ crores gross collection which includes 30+ crores from the domestic market, making it the second biggest start for an Indian movie of 2024. ## Directed by Shankar, Indian 2, however, got criticism for its lengthy runtime which is 3 hours and upon feedback from audiences, the makers have now decided to trim 20 minutes to make it 2 hours and 40 minutes film. The shortened version will now be played in theatres starting today. ## Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film, Indian which was a big success. Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption, leading a massive ensemble which also includes Siddharth, S. J. Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal, among many others.## In the film, years after the events in the first movie, Senapathy returns from abroad to aid Chitra Aravindhan and his team, who has been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through videos on the internet.## Stay tuned...
