Netflix Announces Post-Theatrical Streaming Telugu Films In 2024

Hyderabad, January 15 - Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of some of the biggest Telugu Pan-Indian films in 2024 and beyond. The streamer has been putting efforts to make a mark in the Indian digital space and its upcoming South Indian slate is the first major push. ## The biggest film Netflix has acquired is the upcoming Pan India movie Pushpa - The Rule. Starring superstar Allu Arjun, the action drama film is scheduled to release theatrically on August 15, 2024, in multiple languages and it is likely to be available on Netflix after an 8-week theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, is another big Telugu Pan India film acquired by Netflix after its theatrical release, which is on April 5. The movie, just like Pushpa 2, is expected to be ready to stream after 8 weeks of the theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Director Prashanth Neel and superstar Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which was released during Christmas 2023 weekend, will also be streaming on Netflix soon. Box Office: Guntur Kaaram and Hanuman Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Hyderabad, January 13 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram, after a very good opening of over 41 crores net, is showing a big drop on its second day which could be a concerning factor for the film in the going ahead. ## The movie did manage to do well on its first day due to star power despite the mixed word of mouth but that came into play on the second day as it scored an estimated 13-14 crore net (15-16 crore gross) with a drop of around 70%. ## The drop in collection is a bit heavy even though the first day was huge and theatres also decreased due to the release of Saindhav and the strong performance of Hanuman but the holiday period is going on so the drop should have been under or around 50% which is normal for Telugu movies. ## The total Guntur Kaaram after two days is around 54 crores net (64 crores gross) which is a good number overall but it needs to hold extremely well in the coming days to reach even close to its break-even target which is around 170 crores gross domestically. ## Meanwhile, director Prashanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman, which was released with Guntur Kaaram, has shown a big jump in collection on its second day. Directed by Koratala Siva, the teaser was launched on January 8 at 4:05 PM in 5 languages. ## In the original Telugu language, Devara Glimpse scored record viewership (for a glimpse, not for a teaser) with a huge 26.17 million views in the first 24 hours. The Hindi version recorded 18.50 million views, followed by 2.53 million views in Kannada, and 2.20 million views in Malayalam and Tamil languages combined. ## The super positively received glimpse combined scored around 49.35 million views with 1.25 million likes in all 5 languages, making it one of the most-watched Indian teasers. Hyderabad, January 5 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram is all set to hit the big screens on January 12, and the preparations are being made for the grand release worldwide. ## The last time Mahesh Babu released his film at the Sankranthi festival, it went on to become his highest-grossing in the form of Sarileru Neekevvaru, and the expectations are even higher this time. Los Angeles, January 5 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas' action drama Guntur Kaaram is having a good buzz among the audiences and is all set to a very good start at the domestic and overseas box office this Sankranthi festival. ## "Guntur Kaaram" will have its USA premiere on January 11, and the booking of the same opened on a very good note. Prabhas 'Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam' To Release In 2025

Hyderabad, January 3 - Superstar Prabhas is basking on the success of his action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel. The movie, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, was promised a two-part story, and the first part ended with a cliffhanger which sets the stage for a big face-off between Prabhas and Sukumaran. ## The title of the film's second part, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam was revealed in the climax of the first part and now, the producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films has revealed details about the release of the second part. ## During an interview with Pinkvilla, the producer revealed that the script of Salaar 2 is ready and the team is in the process of starting it any time.
