'Vikrant Rona' Star Kichcha Sudeepa Insists Directing Superstar Salman Khan In A Film

Mumbai, July 29 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's Pan India film Vikrant Rona has been released in theaters and winning praise all around for providing a majestic cinematic 3D experience. The Hindi version of this mystery action-adventure film is presented by superstar Salman Khan with whom, Sudeepa shares a great bond personally. ## Sudeepa, who shared screen space with Salman Khan in "Dabangg 3", had said in an interview in 2021 that he has plans to direct the Bollywood superstar in a film. Since then, both got busy with their respective projects, and there has been not much development on their next project together. The "Vikrant Rona" actor has now opened up about his film with Salman. ## In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, while promoting his film, Sudeepa said, "When I am directing Salman Khan, you should wait, no". ## He added, "The process just started last year and wait for some more time. I have to tell him the story, then he has to say a yes and then tell the time of coming to set. With Salman Bhai, it's going to be like that. He is so busy with so many people writing for him. We keep discussing and it will happen at the right time".## The actor also talked about Salman lending his support to Vikrant Rona by presenting the Hindi version. Mumbai, July 28 - Another Friday arrives and there is another big Bollywood film, in the form of "Ek Villain Returns", releasing in theaters. But the biggest question remains to answer, will fortune change this time? or will it meet the same fate as the previous films? It is something that is very difficult to predict in these changing box office dynamics post-pandemic. ## There was a time when Bollywood was the synonym for Blockbuster, however, that time has become a thing of the past as the blockbuster status, nowadays, becomes a blue moon for the industry. Forget about blockbuster or hit or superhit, taking a decent to good opening has become a hard nut to crack for the Hindi film industry despite a lot of promises. ## Talking about the Mohit Suri-directed "Ek Villain Returns", one thing is sure the stakes are not that high in this film as compared to the last Friday's release "Shamshera" of which, the box office result is there for everyone to see. The dismal show of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer could actually benefit EVR, which is looking to take a decent to a good start and the rest, makers hoping, the content will do the job for them. ## The advance booking of the film is around 2 crores gross (till 3:30 PM on July 28), which may not look big, but definitely decent, considering it was opened just 48 hours before the movie officially releases in theaters on July 29. Looking at the advance booking so far and the fact that it is a sequel to a successful film, the opening is expected somewhere between 5-6 crores. ## "Ek Villain Returns" is a kind of film that doesn't rely on heavy advance and hence, this 2 crores, which is likely to finish somewhere around 3 crores before the first show starts, can be seen as a positive trend so far. To keep our expectations low is a safe bet nowadays and thus, the opening of 5-6 crores is looking sure shot, but the industry is hoping at least 8 crores starts as spot booking is expected to be good as compared to advance. ## Produced by T-Series and Balaji Motion Pictures, "Ek Villain Returns" is reportedly eyeing a wide release on over 3000 screens across the country. The theatrical runtime this John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani, is also in check with around 2 hours 8 minutes. Mumbai, July 26 - Director Om Raut has signed a multi-film deal with producer Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The duo is currently working on, probably the biggest film for them, Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush", and it is said that Bhushan Kumar left super impressive with Raut and signed him for more films. ## Om Raut made his Hindi directorial debut with Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior", which was co-produced by T-Series. The film became a massive hit and Om Raut's direction was praised to the top. On top of that, the movie was awarded National Award for Best Film in Providing Wholesome Entertainment along with Devgn winning the Best Actor award. ## The deal between Om Raut and T-Series is said to be existing much before the release of Tanhaji and now, the duo is further strengthening their collaboration by doing more films together. ## It has been reported that Bhushan Kumar has great belief in Om Raut's vision as a filmmaker and has provided him with the budgets that justify the scale of the film. Their second film together, that is "Adipurush", is reportedly the costliest Bollywood film ever with a budget of around 500 crores. The movie is expected to break all the box office records once it comes out in cinemas on January 12, 2023. ## The director, meanwhile, has also reportedly confirmed his deal with the producer, according to Pinkvilla, "Honesty and Loyalty is what matters the most to me. Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in the film. ## The movie was originally announced as "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali", however, after Sajid Nadiadwala parted ways from the movie, it was reported that Salman Khan changed the title to "Bhaijaan". Since the new title wasn't made official, it led to confusion regarding the real title.## Salman Khan has now confirmed during the pre-release event of "Vikrant Rona" in Mumbai that the title of this action comedy indeed changed to "Bhaijaan" and also confirmed that Venkatesh is playing an important role. Mumbai, July 25 - Junglee Pictures has announced its next film, an epic thriller drama "Dosa King". The studio has collaborated with the Tamil director, T.J. Gnanavel, who famously directed the Suriya-starrer "Jai Bhim". "Dosa King" marks his debut in Bollywood cinema. ## "Dosa King" is inspired by a woman called Jeevajothi Santhakumar and her tribulation with a restaurant mogul and hotelier P. Rajagopal, an accused in a 2001 murder case. P. Rajagopal was accused of a crime that shocked the nation resulting in a conviction after a trial that went on for 18 years - P.Rajagopal v. State of Tamil Nadu.## Sharing his excitement, Gnanavel, said, "I've observed the subject closely, following the case during my days as a journalist. I hope to bring out new dimensions through Jeevajothi's legal battle on screen. Today, directing this project & working on its characters feels surreal. I'm excited to begin this journey with Junglee Pictures which is known for developing some of the most iconic films in contemporary Indian Cinema".## The story of the upcoming film depicts Jeevajothi's fight against a powerful opponent, the owner of one of the largest South Indian restaurant chains in the world. An Indian restaurateur, better known as a family man who was worshipped for his huge-hearted generosity by not only his employees but also by the diners.## As per media reports, Rajagopal, who was the founder of the popular South Indian food chain - Saravana Bhavan, wanted to marry Jeevajothi, who was the daughter of one of his employees at his restaurant. ## Jeevajothi, however, was already married. To change things in his favor, Rajagopal hatched a criminal conspiracy to eliminate her husband, Prince Santhakumar. And in 2001, Prince Santhakumar was murdered and his body was found in Kodaikanal city of Karnataka. Rajagopal was eventually convicted for the murder of Jeevajothi Santhakumar's husband by the Supreme Court, a justice that was delivered almost two decades after the crime.## Junglee Pictures acquired the rights for the story of Jeevajothi Santhakumar in July 2021. Bhavani Iyer has penned the script of the film. Then a girl comes up on the screen and referred Tiger as Jonny, which might be his real name. After seeing his girl, who seems to be in trouble, Jonny/Akhilesh Mishra gets charged up and starts beating the goons in his own stylish action avatar.## While the makers haven't revealed the face of the girl, she is most likely Rashmika Mandanna, who has been paired opposite Tiger in the movie.
