Mumbai, July 24 - Telugu director Hanu Raghavapudi is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited romantic-drama film "Sita Ramam". Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna in the leading roles. The film will hit the theaters on 5th August in Telugu along with dubbed versions of Tamil and Malayalam. ## Hanu Raghavapudi will next direct a Bollywood movie that will mark his debut in Hindi cinema. The director has reportedly locked the script of his Bollywood debut which will star Sunny Deol and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the prominent roles. It will be an action thriller film. ## Interestingly, the movie in question was supposed to start production in 2020 but got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. Sunny Deol too had confirmed the movie back then and stated it is an interesting subject with loads of suspense and action and would require him to put in a lot of effort.## Raghavapudi, who has directed five films so far, including "Padi Padi Leche Manasu" and "LIE", will also be making his digital debut and will direct a web series for Amazon Prime Video, as per Telugu Cinema. Mumbai, July 24 - The Bollywood film industry had pinned high hopes on Ranbir Kapoor's period action drama film Shamshera to break the jinx of Bollywood films not being able to take the big openings during the covid-19 pandemic. When the advance booking of the film started, it looked like the movie would sure take a very good opening, but, things didn't go as planned as the movie failed to make an impact at the box office. ## "Shamshera" was Yash Raj Films' biggest hope in its current slot, but just like most of the Bollywood films during the covid-19 pandemic, the movie ended up taking an underwhelming start of 10.25 crores net, which is almost half of what trade pundits had predicted.## The underwhelming start at the box office of this Karan Malhotra-directed is not a case with it only, as most Bollywood films have struggled to take a good start since the Rs. 26.29 crores opening of Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi last year. Since the release of "Sooryavanshi", not a single Bollywood movie has been able to crack the 20 crores mark on an opening day, forget about going past Rohit Shetty-directorial. ## Before the covid-19 pandemic broke out in India in early 2020, taking a big opening was a cakewalk for Bollywood films featuring top stars, but now, the opening of "Sooryavanshi" has become a dream number to crack for the largest Indian film industry. Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha", which is slated to release on August 11, is the next big Bollywood release. However, it is also not looking to reach or cross the cop action drama, which is shocking, to say the least. But, an Aamir Khan film should never be ruled out as there might be an unexpected surprise. We have to wait for that a couple of more weeks.## Among the upcoming films, director Ayan Mukerji's epic "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" is really looking highly promising and should be able to take a huge opening and might breach the 30 crores mark for the first since "War" (2019). Among the other Bollywood films releasing this year, Hrithik Roshan's "Vikram Vedha" and Akshay Kumar's "Ram Setu" may also surprise. Mumbai, July 22 - Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey-starrer Liger is one of the most anticipated Pan India movies. The sports action drama film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in association with Puri Connects. ## The trailer of the movie was launched on July 21st and it got a bumper response all over. To put things in numbers, the action-packed trailer scored over 50 million views in the first 24 hours. The Hindi trailer alone received 30.20 million views, followed by Telugu with 16.80 million views, which is a record for tier-2 Telugu actor. ## "Liger" has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and it marks Vijay Deverakonda's Hindi debut. The Hindi trailer views of the movie are surely encouraging for the makers and this should also result in a good opening at the box office. The other versions, including Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, combined scored 3.70 million views. The trailer also got 1.27 million likes during the said period. ## The movie is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vijay Deverakonda stars as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles. It will be Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's first film together and this is already looking like a very exciting on-screen pair. ## Kriti has completed the paperwork and the announcement of the movie with its lead pair will be made very soon. "It's a unique love story that called for a fresh casting, and that's when the team unanimously decided on bringing Shahid and Kriti together for the first time. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera' Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Mumbai, July 21 - Ranbir Kapoor returns to the big screen after more than 4 years with Yash Raj Films' Shamshera. The Karan Malhotra-directed period action drama film will be hitting worldwide theaters tomorrow (July 22) in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, also in IMAX. ## Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's biographical comedy-drama "Sanju", which was a huge blockbuster at the box office, so the expectations from his upcoming movie are high and should be. The advance booking of the same was opened on July 17 as there was a good buzz for the movie. ## The initial advance booking response for "Shamshera" was decent and at the same time, was better than most of this year's Bollywood movies. However, after that initial promise, the advance booking hasn't picked up as per the wish of the makers as the pre-sales collection of the movie is around 3.50 crores gross only. It might still reach 5 crores before the first show starts. ## The trade experts have been projecting the film to open around 20 crores, which is not looking to happen at this point in time. Taking the advance booking into the account, the movie is tracking to open around 11-12 crores net. However, looking at the subject of the movie which is promising to be a mass entertainer, which often leads to a good spot booking, the movie has a fair chance to take the opening of 15-16 crores. ## Ranbir's last film, "Sanju" opened to a huge 34+ crores, but the scenario was different at that time. This time around, the opening of 15+ crores for "Shamshera" will be considered good and if word of mouth is positive, then the opening weekend has a shot for 55+ crores. The trailer and other promos have left a positive impact on the audiences and this should lead to good footfalls in cinemas. ## In 2022, the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie belongs to Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", which opened to 14.11 crores net in May. "Shamshera" is clearly looking to challenge this record and if this happens, then YRF has a winner in its hands.
