Akshay Kumar Reveals The Release Date Of Action-Adventure 'Ram Setu'

Mumbai, December 24 - As Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar gearing up to close the year 2021 on a high note with "Atrangi Re", which has been released on Disney Plus Hotstar on December 24, the "Sooryavanshi" actor will be in the action throughout next year with back-to-back theatrical releases.## He will begin 2022 with the release of the historical drama "Prithviraj", due on January 21. The movie takes Akshay into this genre to a new level as he enters the 1191 era to essay the role of the legendary warrior King Prithviraj Chauhan for this unique historical epic action-drama, directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. ## After "Prithviraj", the Khiladi Kumar has "Bachchan Pandey", and "Raksha Bandhan" as his next theatrical releases on March 4, and August 11, respectively. Meanwhile, during an interview with Variety, Akshay also revealed the release date of "Ram Setu", which is an action-adventure drama, reflecting a significant part of our historical heritage.## "Ram Setu", which is currently on floors under the direction of Abhishek Sharma, will be released on the occasion of Diwali 2022, on October 24, as revealed by Akshay. Mumbai, December 23 - Superstar Akshay Kumar and young action star Tiger Shroff are reportedly coming together for the first time for an action thriller film. According to Pinkvilla, the duo will be teaming up with director Ali Abbas Zafar for an out and out two hero actioner which will be produced by Vashu, Jackky, and Deepshikha Bhagnani under their banner, Pooja Films.## It is said that Ali Abbas Zafar has been trying to make a two-hero action film with a little dose of comedy for a long time now, for which he locked the script. According to Pinkvilla, the director narrated the story to both Akshay and Tiger, who have already agreed to do this action spectacle.## The yet-untitled film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2022 after both Akshay and Tiger complete their ongoing commitments. Abbas Zafar too is currently directing Shahid Kapoor for a crime-action thriller, tentatively titled "Bloody Daddy". The trailer of this visually spectacular period romantic drama will be released on December 23, during an event in Hyderabad. ## While the fans of Prabhas and movie lovers in India have been waiting for "Radhe Shyam" for a long time, the movie will extra special for the actor's fans in Australia as they will have a chance to watch this film in the world's second-largest IMAX screen in Melbourne. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, a special show of "Radhe Shyam" will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022, on the IMAX screen in Melbourne. Interestingly, the screen, which measures 105 feet × 75 feet, used to be the biggest IMAX screen a couple of months ago. "Rowdy Rathore" is considered one of the biggest blockbusters in Akshay's career, in which he played a double role as Shiva/IPS Vikram Singh Rathore. ## "Rowdy Rathore" is the remake of SS Rajamouli-directed Telugu blockbuster "Vikramarkudu", starring Ravi Teja, based on the story written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. About the sequel of RR in Hindi, Prasad told a news portal that Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who produced the film with Ronnie Screwvala, had approached him to write the next chapter of the film. ## According to ETimes, the sequel will see Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha reprising their characters of Shiva and Paro from the first installment. However, the film will reportedly not pick up from where the first part ended and will have a new story to tell. Mumbai, December 21 - Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has reportedly signed Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor for his next directorial. The filmmaker was to direct his ambitious Ramayana trilogy next. However, the project has been said to be postponed over date issues with lead actors, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, who have busy schedules throughout next year with other projects. ## According to peepingmoon.com, Nitesh Tiwari is planning a quickie before starting the Ramayana trilogy and he has roped in Varun and Janhvi for the film, which will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. While the details about the project are kept under wraps for now, it is believed to be a romantic entertainer. It will be Janhvi's first film with Varun Dhawan. ## It is reported that Varun Dhawan was to headline Nadiadwala's "Sanki". However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, they decided to call off that project and work on something else that's not just a masala potboiler. And that's when Nadiadwala pitched him Nitesh Tiwari's film. When Janhvi was approached, she also gave her nod immediately and everything fell into place soon. ## The yet-untitled film marks Dhawan's maiden collaboration with Dangal director and the fourth collaboration with Sajid Nadiadwala after Dishoom, Kalank, and Judwaa 2. "We had no problem securing the same to shoot in Kashmir but the kind of film that we were making and how Vivek is perceived by the people, there was threat to our life and that's why we had approximately 16-17 people as security with us, right from J&K Police and CRPF and our car was always surrounded by them", she said. ## "Even when we were shooting in shikaras, we were constantly chased by 2-3 other shikaras, keeping an eye on us in terms of security. As filmmakers, we go and shoot anywhere but when you know you have huge security with you, that's when the threat factor comes alive. Mumbai, December 18 - Man in form, actor Sidharth Malhotra was recently announced to lead filmmaker Karan Johar's first-ever action franchise film "Yodha" under his Dharma Productions. The ariel action thriller is being directed by Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha, who earlier worked as assistant directors on "War", "Kick", among others. ## There were some reports claiming that South sensation, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani would be playing the female lead roles, and now, confirming the same, the makers have officially brought both actresses on board. Interestingly, it is the same film that was supposed to star Shahid Kapoor alongside Disha Patani. However, due to some issues, Shahid backed out of the project, making way for Malhotra, who is basking on the blockbuster success of "Sherhshaah".## The movie will be produced by Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.
