Mumbai, December 3 - Ace actor Suniel Shetty's son, Ahan Shetty is making his Bollywood debut with producer Sajid Nadiadwala's romantic action thriller, "Tadap", which has been released in theaters on December 3. Mumbai, December 2 - Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavasnhi" is marching alone at the box office and attracting footfalls even towards the end of the 4th week and in between the competition with Salman Khan-starrer "Antim: The Final Truth".## The Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama netted an estimated 51 lakh on its 27th day (4th Wednesday), taking its total India net collection to Rs. 190.87 crores. The Wednesday collection helps "Sooryavanshi" to cross the lifetime total of "2.0" (Hindi), which netted 190.48 crores. Akshay played an antagonist the sci-fi actioner against protagonist Rajinikanth. It becomes Akshay's 4th highest-earning film at the Indian box office and will most probably finish with that spot.## Surpassing "2.0's" Hindi total is a big achievement for the makers considering the fact that it was released amid the covid-19 pandemic with 50% theater capacity in Maharasthra and some of the other states. The movie, however, was expected to do well at the box office, and one would say, it has succeeded the expectations of trade analysts. ## Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape of Good Films, "Sooryavanshi" took a solid opening of Rs. 77.08 crores over the first weekend. The positive WOM helped it further to finish the opening week at Rs. 120.66 crore and the second week on 45.57 crores.## From the third week onwards, "Sooryavanshi" faced a competetion with YRF's "Bunty Aur Babli 2". Despite the competition, it fetched another Rs. 18.68 crores in the 3rd week. With two new releases in the form of "Satyameva Jayate 2" (Nov. 25), and "Antim" (Nov. 26), "Sooryavanshi" started slowing down but still managed to hold strong with a likely over Rs. 6 crores 4th-week finish. In an interview with PTI, Salman reportedly confirmed the film, which will be co-produced by his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.## It's an action thriller, based on an incredible true story from Indian History. It will be the first time in his 32 years of a career that Salman will do a biopic. Mumbai, November 29 - Salman Khan's "Antim: The Final Truth" passes the crucial Monday test by maintaining a stronghold at the box office. The Mahesh Manjrekar-directed dropped just 35.58% from Friday (₹ 5.03 cr.) for the Monday collection of ₹ 3.24 crores. ## Also starring Ayush Sharma and Mahima Makawana in the main roles, "Antim: The Final Truth" has earned ₹ 21.85 crores net so far. It has had more than a decent opening weekend, in which it grossed ₹ 22 crores through the first three days (Fri-Sun). Maharashtra and Gujarat showed a better trend than the other states.## "Antim: The Final Truth" is on track for ₹ 28 crores net in the opening week, which is going to be a decent run considering competition with "Sooryavanshi" and "Satyameva Jayate 2". Overseas, it has grossed approx ₹ 5.70 crores so far, taking its worldwide gross total to ₹ 31.50 crores. The movie was projected as a mass entertainer and it is performing well on single screens. ## With competition with other films every week at the box office in December, it will be interesting to see how "Antim" goes about its business. It will be the closing film of the festival on Dec. 15, where Deepika Padukone, Kapil Dev, and director Kabir Khan will be presented. ## Based on India's first world cup win in the 1983 ODI world cup, "83" will feature Ranveer Singh as the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, who led the Indian side to glory. The strong word of mouth and positive critics reviews came to the party as the movie jumped by 19.88% (₹ 6.03) on Saturday and then by 25.21% on Sunday for ₹ 7.55 crores, for a 3-day total of ₹ 18.61 crores.## While the producers won't be too disappointed with the box office outcome of "Antim" so far, it was, however, expected to do much more than it actually did. The family audience is still hesitating to visit theaters despite the positive trend towards cinema-going. ## Meanwhile, on the other hand, John Abraham-starrer "Satyameva Jayate 2", which was released a day earlier on November 25, performed low over the opening weekend for an estimated 4-day total of ₹ 10.45 Cr. Despite seeing a slight jump on Sunday, the sequel to 2018's film fell well short of what the producers had expected from it at the box office. ## Yash Raj Films' "Bunty Aur Babli 2", is another film that didn't find its audience and was rejected at the box office. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Sharvari Wagh, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the sequel to 2005's hit film, netted just ₹ 11.9 crores in the opening week in India, starting from November 19.
