Mumbai, November 5 - A long wait finally comes to an end for movie buffs and the Bollywood film indsutry. Rohit Shetty's next film in his cop universe, "Sooryavanshi", which was supposed to release in March 2020 in theaters worldwide, waited for over 18 months to beat the covid-19 pandemic to see the release, which is finally happening in a grand manner, on November 5.## Featuring Akshay Kumar in the title role alongside Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in the extended cameos as Singham and Simmba, and Katrina Kaif in the female lead, "Sooryavanshi" is the first potential blockbuster Bollywood movie of the pandemic era. ## The film, produced by Reliance Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, releases over 4500+ screens worldwide, including 1300 screens overseas from 66 countries. It is one of the widest overseas releases for a Bollywood movie. Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi' Gets Massive 1300-Screen Overseas Release

Mumbai, November 4 - Bollywood biggie is going massive in overseas markets. As mentioned earlier, Rohit Shetty's directorial will receive a big 1300-screen release in 66 countries on November 5. It is the biggest overseas release for an Indian film during the covid-19 pandemic, pipping the 1,190+ screen release for "Annaatthe" starring Rajinikanth.## The continuation of Shetty's Cop Universe, "Sooryavanshi" will release on 520 screens in North America in 490 locations, followed by 137 screens in the United Arab Emirates and 107 screens in Australia. It will release at 158 locations across Europe, including 29 screens in France, 36 screens in Germany, 20 screens in Spain, and 19 screens in Italy.## Israel, Japan, Chile, Egypt, Iraq, and Djibouti are amongst the new non-traditional countries for a Bollywood movie where the film will be released on day and date. Based on the life of 2008 Mumbai attacks martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the movie, starring Adivi Sesh in the title role of the braveheart, will be released on February 11, 2022, in Hindi, and Telugu, along with a dubbed version of Malayalam, worldwide.## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, and Saiee Manjrekar in the female leads while Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murli Sharma play supporting roles. Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, Among The New States To Allow 100% Theater Occupancy Ahead Of Sooryavanshi Release

Mumbai, October 31 - Ahead of the big theatrical release of Rohit Shetty's cop drama "Sooryavanshi", the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, among the few others, have permitted 100% occupancy in theaters. ## As of now, 9 states have allowed theaters to operate with full capacity, and half of them fall in North India, which is a great sign for the "Sooryavanshi" release. West Bengal has allowed 70% occupancy while Punjab theaters are allowed to run with 2/3 (66%) of full capacity. The biggest movie market for Hindi cinema, Maharashtra has permitted cinema halls to run with 50% capacity. ## "Sooryavanshi" release date was finalized after the announcement of theaters reopening in Maharashtra. Mumbai, October 30 - Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer family comedy-drama film "Badhaai Do" has been announced to release in theaters during the Republic Day 2022 weekend. Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, "Badhaai Do" serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Badhaai Ho.## "When it comes to family entertainers especially comedy films, cinema is the ideal platform as they can be enjoyed with the entire family", said director Harshavardhan Kulkarni.## "We are super excited to bring 'Badhaai Do' in cinema halls on the Republic Day weekend. It's a wholesome entertainer and I really hope the audiences would enjoy watching the movie as much as we enjoyed creating it", he added. ## Produced by Junglee Pictures, the film marks the first collaboration between Rao and Bhumi, who will be essaying the role of a cop in a Mahila police thana, Bhumi plays the role of a PT teacher in the film, respectively. It is co-written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, who also had written "Badhaai Ho". ## The family entertainer also boasts of an ensemble cast featuring seasoned actors like Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, Shashi Bhushan amongst others essaying pivotal roles taking the narrative ahead.## "Bringing powerhouse talents like Raj, Bhumi, Harsh, and Akshat-Suman together on this movie has been truly phenomenal. Mumbai, October 30 - A couple of days ago, Amazon Prime Video and Yash Raj Films signed a deal for the post-theatrical streaming rights of YRF's 4 upcoming films that include Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Shamshera. These films will be available to stream on Prime Video after 4-weeks of theatrical release. ## As per the industry insiders, Amazon Prime Video has paid Rs. 250 crores for the four aforementioned films, which is one of the biggest deals for movies, streaming after theatrical release. Earlier, there were reports that Amazon had offered Rs. 450 crores to YRF for direct-to-digital release of the said films. However, Aditya Chopra of YRF was always wanted his films to have theatrical release first.## Apart from the 4 aforementioned films, Prime Video has reportedly acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of YRF's two more most-awaited films - Tiger 3 and Pathan. However, neither Prime Video nor YRF made an official announcement regarding the two films but it is said that the two companies reached a deal that will give access to Prime Video to stream Tiger 3 and Pathan after 8-weeks of theatrical release. ## Salman Khan starrer "Tiger 3" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathan" are undoubtedly the biggest projects in the YRF slate and these two films will hold great value even after theatrical release. According to reports, Prime Video was keen to bag both and offered a whopping Rs 200 crores offer for 8-weeks theatrical window. Prime Video has exclusively signed a deal with YRF for 4 most anticipated upcoming films that include Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Shamshera for their streaming after 4 weeks of theatrical release. ## While the aforementioned films have been made official, Amazon has reportedly grabbed two more YRF films. According to reports, YRF's in-production big-budget films - Salman Khan starrer "Tiger 3" and Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film "Pathan" will be available to stream on Prime Video after 8-weeks of theatrical release. ## Reports claim that Amazon has paid a whopping Rs. 200 crores to beg the streaming rights of Tiger 3 and Pathan, which are one of the most-awaited Indian films. Both the films are currently on floors and in their final legs of shooting schedules. ## The third installment of the Tiger film franchise, Tiger 3, will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles as RAW and ISI agents respectively. The spy actioner will also feature Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, however, the official announcement regarding his inclusion is yet to be made. The movie is being directed by Maneesh Sharma. ## Pathan, on the other hand, marks Shah Rukh Khan's return on the big screen after almost three years.
