Mumbai, November 24 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has condemned actress Richa Chadha for her remarks on the 2020 Galwan clash, in which several Indian Army soldiers died. ## Akshay Kumar whose love for the Indian army is grown over the years took to Twitter and slammed Chadha for being ungrateful towards Indian armed forces and said that he is hurt by her comment. 'Avatar: The Way of Water' Needs Minimum $2 Billion Worldwide Gross Collection For Break-Even

Los Angeles, November 23 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar: The Way of Water is getting hot as the release date gets closer. The sequel to Cameron's 2009 movie, "Avatar 2" is a rare film that is a sure shot to cross $1 billion gross at the worldwide box office but it will need more than just $1 billion. ## "Avatar: The Way of Water" is one of the most expensive films or maybe the most expensive movie ever made. The early reports have claimed the production budget of the movie alone was in the $250 million range, however, according to Cameron, the movie is so expensive that it will need to become the third or fourth highest-grossing film in history for just a break-even target.## There have been only five films in history to reach $2 billion at the worldwide box office. The top three movies are Cameron's original "Avatar" with $2.9 billion, followed by "Avengers: Endgame" with $2.7 billion, and Cameron's "Titanic" with $2.1 billion at number 2 and 3, respectively.## That means, according to Cameron, that if "Avatar: The Way of Water" wants to break even, it'll need to overtake either "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($2.07 billion) or "Avengers: Infinity War" ($2.05 billion) in the fourth or fifth slots, respectively. In other words, the sequel will need a minimum of $2 billion worldwide to turn into a profitable film. ## "Avatar: The Way of Water" opens in theaters on December 16 and in India, it will release in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages in multiple formats.## Stay tuned...

The actor was supposed to team up with the "Jersey" director Gowtam Tinnanuri for "RC 16", however, that movie has reportedly been shelved as Charan was not satisfied with the script.## Now, according to the latest reports, the "RRR" star will be doing "Uppena" director Buchi Babu Sana next. The movie is touted to be a sports drama, along the lines of Aamir Khan's "Dangal". The script has reportedly been completed and makers are planning to take the movie on floors after Sankranthi 2023. ## The official confirmation from the makers of "RC 16" is yet to be made, but it is said that Sathish Kilaru will be producing this big-budget film. The script is said to be the same which was reportedly offered to Jr. NTR a few months back but he couldn't do it due to unknown reasons. Sukumar has assisted Buchi Babu in shaping the script.## Both, "RC15" and "RC16" will reportedly be released in 4 months of the time period. Avatar: The Way of Water Sets Release Date In China

Beijing, November 23 - James Cameron's mega movie Avatar: The Way of Water has been cleared to release in China, according to The Wall Street Journal. In what could be a blockbuster move from Disney, the movie will be hitting Chinese theaters on December 16, the same day it is slated to be released globally. ## China has been tough for Disney as the studio failed to get clearance to release its blockbuster movies in China from the censor board. The studio and Chinese movie theaters had been closely watching for a decision from Chinese censors on the movie, the sequel to Cameron's 2009 sci-fi epic. ## China carries a huge box office potential for blockbuster titles and this could hugely benefit Disney to generate big millions with "Avatar 2". The first "Avatar" movie grossed over $260 million in China and was the second-biggest market after North America.## As said earlier, the last seven superhero films produced by Marvel Studios, Disney's most-profitable film studio over the past decade, haven't received release dates in the crucial China market, denting the global box-office gross.## Meanwhile, James Cameron has already set huge standards for "Avatar 2" at the box office. The budget of the film is not known yet, but according to Cameron, "Avatar 2" will need to become the fourth or fifth highest-grossing movie of all time or at least $2 billion to clear the break-even target. Mumbai, November 23 - A few months ago, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be teaming up with director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy-drama film, titled Khel Khel Mein. The yet-to-be-announced film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.## While the movie is not yet made official, the makers have reportedly locked the rest of the cast alongside Akshay in prominent roles. According to Hindustan Times, Akshay's "Bell Bottom" (2021) co-star Vaani Kapoor, and also his "Naam Shabana" (2017) and "Mission Mangal" (2019) co-star Taapsee Pannu would be playing the female lead role.## In addition to this, the upcoming movie will also reportedly feature popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk in a prominent role. Some more actors are also expected to come on board for which the details are not revealed yet. "Khel Khel Mein" is said to be a proper comedy feature with emotional elements. ## The shooting of "Khel Khel Mein" is expected to kickstart sometime next year after Akshay wraps up his ongoing projects. He will also start Ali Abbas Zafar's big-budget comedy actioner "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", co-starring Tiger Shroff, in January 2023. Jeetu Joseph directed the film that was hailed as one of the best thrillers ever in Malayalam cinema.## The Hindi remake of "Drishyam 2", starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, was released in theaters on November 18 and scored blockbuster numbers in the opening weekend. Mumbai, November 22 - Ajay Devgn-fronted suspense thriller Drishyam 2 is breathing fire at the box office, giving a rare moment to the Bollywood industry to rejoice.## Abhishek Pathak's directorial has had the second-biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood movie in 2022 with 64.14 crores net in the first three days. It scored a super solid jump over the weekend to ensure a huge weekend. The eyes were on Monday's test, and the film passed it with flying colors by scoring 11.87 crores net. ## The sequel to 2015's film, "Drishyam 2" has crossed 100 crores at the global box office in just 4 days, becoming only the 7th outright Bollywood movie to do so in 2022. It has grossed 89.69 crores at the domestic box office and approx. 20 crores internationally, for 109.69 crores worldwide in 4 days.## "Drishyam 2" is heading towards a huge lifetime total and is on track to become one of the biggest hits post the covid-19 pandemic. With the current trend, it will breach the 100 crores net mark in a flat first week with worldwide around 150 crores. It will be against a tough opponent from the upcoming weekend in the form of "Bhediya", but it will still retain a significant number of screens thanks to the remarkable word of mouth. ## Produced by Panorama Studios, Viacom18 Studios, and T-Series Films, "Drishyam 2" will look to achieve the 200 crores mark globally in the second week. Kantara Crosses 400 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Bengaluru, November 22 - Hombale Films has another reason to be proud as its latest sensation, Kantara has crossed 400 crores at the global box office in 53 days. It is the second back-to-back film for the studio to reach this rare box office milestone, after KGF: Chapter 2.## The Rishab Shetty-starrer has grossed a might 358.50 crores (304.10 crores net) in India, making it the third highest-grossing film at the domestic box office in 2022 after "KGF 2" and "RRR". Among the all-time domestic-grosser, "Kantara" is at the 17th number. ## Made with a budget of just 16 crores, "Kantara" has been excellent at the overseas box office as well as it performed much better than expected. It has grossed 43 crores internationally, helping worldwide gross cume to reach 401.50 crores, making it the 5th Indian film of 2022 and 24th of all-time to breach the milestone. ## Originally released in the Kannada language, the film was dubbed in other languages and released in theaters.
