Chennai, August 5 - Maverick filmmaker S Shankar's keenly-anticipated Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, is fully back on track and is all set to resume production in September this year. It was put on the back burner for some time due to some issues but is now being revived. ## Meanwhile, actress Kajal Aggarwal has refuted the rumors and confirmed that she is very much a part of the film and will resume shooting on September 13. It was recently reported that she has been dropped from the movie and the makers are looking for a new top actress to replace her in the movie. ## However, during a recent video chat with Neha Dhupia on Instagram, Kajal confirmed that she is making her comeback with "Indian 2". The actress recently was blessed with a child. But she said she was asked by director Shankar and Kamal Haasan to return to the film sets next month. ## "Indian 2" is the sequel to Shankar and Haasan's 1996 vigilante action thriller film. The movie, produced by Lyca Productions, also stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu (his posthumous film), and Samuthirakani. But with the introduction of new age cinema, the family drama genre has somehow lost its magic and there have hardly been such films nowadays expected a few in the last decade or so. ## The upcoming Bollywood film, Raksha Bandhan is one such film that revolves around family values and the emotional bond between siblings. Los Angeles, August 4 - Warner Bros., in the quest of boosting its big event theatrical titles, has sealed the release date of the much-awaited Joker 2, to be directed by Todd Phillips. ## The sequel to this DC Comics-based psychological thriller film, titled Joker: Folie à deux, will be hitting theaters on October 4, 2024. Joaquin Phoenix, who scored his first Oscar for his performance in Joker, will be reprising his role as the DC villain. ## Interestingly, the original Joker movie also debuted on October 4 in 2019 in North America and went on to gross $1.07 billion at the worldwide box office. The film legged out to $335.4M domestic and globally it is the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. The movie will have a theatrical release on August 11 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. ## "Laal Singh Chaddha" will have enough to perform at the box office as Aamir Khan is in no hurry to bring the film to OTT anytime soon. While most of the Bollywood films post-pandemic have opted for a 4-week theatrical window, "Laal Singh Chaddha" will be released on OTT only after 6 months of theatrical release. ## The superstar, in a recent interview, revealed why is not in hurry to bring the film to a digital platform. "One of the reasons primarily I think the curiosity of going to theaters has reduced because films come on OTT right after they come in theaters, they come on OTT very fast".## "So I have always tried to keep a 6-month gap for my films.
