Box Office Hit 'DJ Tillu' Sets Tentative OTT Release On Aha Video

Hyderabad, February 26 - Telugu movie, "DJ Tillu", starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, and Neha Shetty have enjoyed a very good run at the box office. Released on February 12, the movie has earned approx. Rs. 22 crores net at the Indian box office, and around Rs. 3 crores overseas. ## The romantic comedy is now gearing up for its digital release. As announced by the makers, the movie will be premiered on the Telugu OTT platform, Aha Video. Though the streamer and makers haven't disclosed the premiere date yet, reports say it will arrive on March 10. ## DJ Tillu is directed by debutant Vimal Krishna who co-wrote the film with Siddhu Jonnalagadda and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his banner Sithara Entertainments. The "Thalaivii" actress, who has been critical of Bollywood for the last few years, had said that "Gangubai Kathiawadi" would be a big flop at the box office. ## Meanwhile, after the opening day outcome of "Gangubai Kathiawadi", Kangana decide to change her mind and appreciated the film for reviving the cinema biz. Ajith Kumar's 'Valimai' Shorter Than Original Version To Be Screened From Second Day Onwards

Chennai, February 26 - Tamil action thriller, "Valimai", starring Ajith Kumar has opened with a bang at the box office, breaking several past records. ## Released on Feb. 24, the H Vinoth-directed has set a new record in Tamil Nadu, netting Rs. 25.30 crores on the first day. Producer Boney Kapoor has said in a recent interview that the film has come out as the best day one opening in TN on a non-holiday.## While "Valimai" mostly received a positive response from critics and audiences alike, the makers have taken note of the film's critical part, which is its prolonged run-time, especially in the second half. According to reports, Ajith Kumar, producer Boney Kapoor, and director Vinoth have taken the feedback seriously and have decided to trim the film by 14 minutes in order to make it racier. ## It is said that the Hindi version of the film gets trimmed by 15 minutes while the other version faces a 14-minutes trimming, including 2 minutes from the first half and 12 minutes from the second half. The reports state that makers have also decided to remove the first song, Naanga Vera Maari from the Hindi version. The original version was 179 minutes long which has now been reduced to 165 minutes (2 hours 45 minutes). ## "Valimai" has been praised for its high octane action sequence which, many believe, are on par with Hollywood films. "The Suicide Squad", based on the DC Comics team Suicide Squad, was a day-and-date release on HBO Max in 2021 while "Uncharted" is an exclusive theatrical release, which has been Sony's top priority, despite the covid-19 pandemic. The producer himself confirmed during the episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, that he would soon announce a film starring Kapil Sharma in the lead. ## The filmmaker, along with wife Warda Nadiadwala, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Ahaan Shetty will be gracing the upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show as special guests. This special episode will give a tribute to the 67-year-old journey of the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.## During one of the clips of the show, Kapil asks Sajid Nadiadwala how he feels to be on the show, to which he replies, "I treat this show like my own because I was the one who recommended Archana Puran Singh in the industry. Navjot Singh Sidhu for the commentator's role in 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', followed by Sumona Chakravarti, and now its Krushna Abhishek, (Sudesh) Lehri".## "Not to forget, I am now also the producer of the star who is the producer of this show aka Salman Khan", he adds. Sajid further made an announcement on the show that he is making a script for the host Kapil Sharma for his next movie. Los Angeles, February 24 - British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch will be honored with the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame Star on February 28, by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The star will be dedicated in the category of Motion Pictures at 6918 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Line Store.## Cumberbatch becomes the 2,714th celebrity to get his name set in stone. "Benedict Cumberbatch's career spans across genres – he is one of England's prized exports and we are proud to welcome him to the Hollywood Walk of Fame", said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "He joins many of his compatriots on our famed sidewalk of stars", added Martinez.## Benedict has made his name in one of the most respected film industries in the world with his roles of Sherlock Holmes in the series "Sherlock" and the titular magical superhero in the MCU's "Doctor Strange".
