FWICE Demands Apology From Vir Das For His 'I Come From Two Indias' Monologue

Mumbai, November 18 - Actor-comedian Vir Das is getting into trouble for his monologue "I come from two Indias", which he recited at the John F Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, a few days ago. An FIR against him has been registered in Mumbai, and now, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had demanded an apology from him for his remarks.## Das, in his 6-minute satire video, talked about the duality of the country as he touched upon topical issues like the battle against COVID-19, incidents of rapes, farmers protests, a crackdown against comedians and petrol prices. ## B N Tiwari, President of FWICE, said that the federation will not let Das work in the industry until he apologises for his remark. "What he said was disgusting. We won't support him unless he apologises. Wherever he shoots, we will try to stop him, continue with our non-cooperation with him. For us, the nation is first. You can't defame the nation to earn money. We strongly object to what he said". ## "He should publicly apologise in front of the entire nation, there is no other solution. FWICE members won't work with him. The movie will have two leading ladies, and as per reports, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna will be sharing screen space with the in-demand actor. Mumbai, November 18 - Bollywood filmmakers have started booking 2023 slots for their upcoming films. After Shahid Kapoor's yet to go on floors "Bull" was announced for 7 April 2023 release by T-Series, the studio has now booked Republic Day 2023 for Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's untitled romantic comedy. ## Directed by Luv Ranjan, the movie was earlier announced for 18 March 2022 arrival date in theaters. However, with the movie is still in production and with not a big enough slot available in March or the rest of the year 2022, the makers choose to release the film in 2023 instead. Shahid Kapoor-Fronted Brigadier Bulsara's Biopic 'Bull' To Release In April 2023

Mumbai, November 17 - Nearly a month ago on October 21, producers Bhushan Kumar, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta jointly announced their next big-budgeted film "Bull" featuring Shahid Kapoor in the title role. While the shooting of the film is yet to commence, makers have already set the release date. To be directed by debutante Aditya Nimbalkar, "Bull" will be hitting theaters on 7 April 2023. ## Set in the 1980s, "Bull" is inspired by events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara, who led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives to help Maldivian forces to take back control of the country after a group made a coup attempt of Maldivians led by businessman Abdullah Luthufi and assisted by armed mercenaries of a Tamil secessionist organization from Sri Lanka, the People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE). ## "Bull is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara", Shahid had said earlier. "It is a privilege to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honor".## The script and screenplay of "Bull" are written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, who have been in demand for quite some now. Made on a lavish budget, "RRR" is poised to be the widest ever release at the worldwide box office for an Indian film. ## Rajamouli's last film "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion", which is the second highest-grossing Indian film at the worldwide box office and highest in India, was released in over 6500 theaters worldwide, which is a record for an Indian film. "RRR" is going to take a step further and will reportedly be released around 10000 theaters worldwide. ## Starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in prominent roles, "RRR" will have a grand release in the USA. The makers of the film are heavily banking on its overseas release and leaving no stone unturned to grab the maximum number of screens outside India. While "Baahubali 2" grossed Rs. 371 crores at the international box office, the makers are looking to repeat the same success of "RRR" as well. ## At the domestic box office, "RRR" will be released everywhere in multiple languages. Mumbai, November 17 - The moment, all Spider-Man fans around the world have been waiting for, is finally here as Sony/Marvel released the second trailer of the 3rd MCU Spider-Man flick, "No Way Home", on Wednesday (IST). The awaited 2nd trailer premiered only a month before the movie releases in theaters (Dec. 17), and it gave a closer look at what Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is going to face in the movie, which is seen as the finest Spider-Man film. ## When someone says that "No Way Home" is your film to watch out for, trust him because it is going to be that epic in many ways. It is not like the previous Spidey movies where Peter Parker made things miserable and when they looked getting out of control, he fought with them and managed to save the universe. This time, he has many things to get right and in that process, he is going to face a Villainous Multiverse, in which, all the previous super-villains of Spider-Man movies, come face-to-face to take on Tom Holland's web-slinger. ## So this is how it all begins. Peter Parker (Tom Holland), whose identity as Spider-Man revealed at the end of 2019's "Spider-Man: Far From Home", seeks the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to undo the chaos created by him. However, in the process of hiding his identity, the multiverse gets open that unleashes a suite of villains from previous "Spider-Man" franchises, including Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin from 2002's "Spider-Man", Alfred Molina's Otto Octavius from 2004's "Spider-Man 2", Thomas Haden Church's Sandman from 2007's "Spider-Man 3", Rhys Ifans' the Lizard from 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and Jamie Foxx's Electro from 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".## It was already revealed through confirmed reports and major leaks that the previous Spider-Man villains would be featuring in "No Way Home", their inclusion had also led fans to expect that the actors who previously played the iconic web-slinger - Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield - would be making their presence in the second trailer. However, this didn't happen despite Molina's Doc Ock does not consider Holland to be Peter Parker, as shown in the trailer. ## The 2nd "No Way Home" trailer was first launched at a fan event in Los Angeles, where Tom Holland and others were present. While the guessing game is still on about the inclusion of Tobey and Garfield - Holland did appear to hint that such a moment could be in the film by referring to shooting a "true moment in cinematic history".## Holland did not spill the details, but he said that when Marvel first pitched him the movie, "I was like, 'That's never going to work. There's no way you're going to be able to get that done'. And they did". He added, "You're going to see a style of fighting in this film that you've never seen in a Spider-Man movie before. They designed these fights to shock you guys, to really put you on your back foot". ## Directed by Jon Watts, the movie also stars Zendaya reprising her role as MJ, Jacob Batalon is back as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei is Aunt May, Jon Favreau returns as Happy Hogan and Benedict Wong is Wong from "Doctor Strange". Mumbai, November 16 - It took one big shot for the Bollywood film industry to regain its lost kingdom. Akshay Kumar-starrer "Sooryavanshi", which is the biggest Bollywood film in the last 18 months, has become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 at the worldwide box office. ## Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama has grossed ₹ 234 crores worldwide over 11 days and surpassed Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster "Master", which grossed approx ₹ 223 crores at the worldwide box office. "Sooryavanshi" has netted ₹ 155.73 crores, which is the highest for an Indian film in 2021. ## Internationally, "Sooryavanshi" has grossed ₹ 50.37 crores so far, which is again the biggest overseas box office number for an Indian film in the current year. Rajinikanth's "Annaatthe" is at the second position with approx ₹ 45 crores overseas. Over ₹ 150 crore-budgeted, "Sooryavanshi" is the first ₹ 200 crores grosser Bollywood film since Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" in January 2020. ## Co-produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty, Dharma Productions, and Cape Of Good Films, "Sooryavanshi" is the 5th highest net collection film for Akshay Kumar after Housefull 4, Mission Mangal, Good Newwz, and 2.0. For Katrina Kaif, who plays a female lead opposite Akshay, it is the 6th highest-netted film and likely to enter the top 5 at the end of its box office run. ## "Sooryavanshi", which also stars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in the extended cameos, has been an important film for Bollywood and one would say, it has passed the tough test. Bangalore, November 16 - Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who died last month at the age of 46, was one of the popular stars in Karnataka. Now, the government of Karnataka has decided to honour the late actor with the Karnataka Ratna award posthumously. ## The Karnataka Ratna is the state's highest civilian award. Puneeth Rajkumar was the son of veteran actor Rajkumar. He was cremated with state honors last month. The actor, who was the star of films like Mourya, Arasu, Raamand Anjani Putra, is survived by his wife Ashwini Revanth and has two children.## Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj S Bommai took to Twitter and announced the same.
