Ravi Teja Announces His First Pan-India Film; To Star In & As Tiger Nageswara Rao

Hyderabad, November 3 - Ravi Teja joins the elite league of actors with Pan-India films. On November 3, the mass actor announced his foray into the multilingual genre with the biographical film "Tiger Nageswara Rao". ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Tiger Nageswara Rao is based on real-life incidents of infamous bandit Tiger Nageswara Rao and the people of Stuartpuram. To be directed by Vamsee, the first Pan-India outing for Teja will be shot in Telugu and will be dubbed into Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. ## It is said that director Vamsee narrated the script to the actor and he instantly agreed to step into the shoes of the daredevil robber of Stuartpuram, who gave sleepless nights to the authorities owing to his escaping strategies. The movie is set in the 1970s and will be shot in real locations. It will go on floors early next year. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, it is reported that two popular A-listers are set to play Ravi Teja's love interests in the film. GV Prakash Kumar will be composing the music while Madie ISC will handle cinematography. Vamsee has written the script for Ravi Teja. ## Teja took to Twitter and announced the title and also shared the first look poster. Looking at the poster, the actor seems to be undergoing a huge makeover to play this powerful role in the film. And this is all because of Sivakarthikeyan's action-comedy, "Doctor", which is ruling the box office since its debut on October 9. Earlier, the movie was supposed to release directly on OTT, but at the elevanth hour, makers changed their mind and what a turnaround this has been since then. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Doctor" has already been decalred an all-time blockbuster and now, it has entered the Rs. 100 crore club worldwide. On Tuesday (Nov. 2), makers announced that their film has officially broke into Rs. 100 crore league, which is the first 100 crore film for Sivakarthikeyan.## Doctor revived the theatrical business and is the first blockbuster after the second wave of the pandemic. The movie crossed the 100 crore mark on its 25th day, which includes Rs. 80.10 crores in India alone including both Tamil and Telugu versions. Based on the life of 2008 Mumbai attacks martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the movie, starring Adivi Sesh in the title role of the braveheart, will be released on February 11, 2022, in Hindi, and Telugu, along with a dubbed version of Malayalam, worldwide.## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, and Saiee Manjrekar in the female leads while Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murli Sharma play supporting roles. The action drama film, directed by Siva, is tracing to earn in the range of Rs. 60-65 crores worldwide gross on an opening day. The advance booking at all the centers is close to 90%, which is excellent. It will also be released in Telugu as Peddhana. ## Meanwhile, "Annaatthe" will have the widest ever Overseas release for a Tamil film. It will be released in over 1100+ theaters outside India with the USA being the leader with 570+ theaters. Chennai, November 2 - Maharshi director, Vamshi Paidipally will be directing Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in his next film. Tentatively titled "Thalapathy 66", the film will be produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. ## Since the film announcement on September 26, there hasn't been much development on the rest of the cast and other details. However, in a recent media interaction, director Vamshi gave major updates about the cast and story of the film. He revealed that the upcoming film will be high on emotions with a touch of Thalapathy's stardom. ## "My core strength is human relationships and emotions so, the film with Vijay sir will also have these two factors. I also penned the script keeping the stardom and the fanbase of Vijay sir in mind", said Vamshi.## There have been reports stating that some of the noted actors and a top-notch technical team will be associated with the project. Since there has been no official confirmation yet, Vamshi said that the updates regarding the same will be out from December before the regular shoot begins. ## "All the updates will be out from December. We have just finalized the script work so, you will hear more from us by the end of this year", he added. He also praised Thalapathy for his simplicity and said, "He has reached great heights in Tamil cinema but remains humble. She has been paired opposite Sidharth in the female lead role. The actor had almost completed the shoot of James except for a song and an action sequence, which the makers have now decided to let go of. ## Directed by Chethan Kumar, James will be Puneeth's last commercial film. The makers had planned to release the film on his birth anniversary on March 17, and they will likely go with their initial plan to release the film. ## "Fans were expecting the film to release on March 17, which happens to be Puneeth's birth anniversary. We, as a team, are yet to recover from this unexpected shock, but I assure fans that they will not be disappointed. We will soon meet after all the ceremonies and formalities here are finished to discuss the next course of action for the completion of the film. I had waited all my life to direct Puneeth in a film, but I cannot fathom that it will now end up being his last", said director Chethan Kumar. ## The director said that he considered himself lucky to direct the late actor but miserable that James will be the last film with the actor. Bangalore, November 2 - It has been three days since Kannada superstar, Puneeth Rajkumar's death due to the sudden cardiac arrest and he left for heavenly abode at 46. After the tragic death of a talented actor, his eyes were donated, and now, his eyes have given a new lease of life to four young people. ## Rajkumar's eyes were successfully planted to four people, including 3 males and 1 female. However, in order to abide by the rules and protect the privacy of the patients, much details on them weren't disclosed by the hospital, except that all four are between the age of 20 and 30. ## Each eye of the late actor was used to treat two patients. The superior and deeper layers of the cornea were separated. The superior layer was transplanted to two patients who had the superficial corneal disease, and only the deeper layer was transplanted to patients with endothelial or deep corneal layer disease. This, according to the hospital, is quite a rare occurrence.## "All four patients are in between 20 and 30 years of age. They were on the waiting list for over 6 months now. Due to Covid-19, eye donations had stopped completely. Earlier, we used to do at least 200 transplant surgeries per month in our hospital. Things are getting better for the past 2-3 months. But the waiting list is long. So we made the best use of available eyes and instead of two, we were able to do the successful transplant in 4 patients," said Dr. Bhujang Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Nethralaya to News18.## Puneeth Rajkumar was active in many humanitarian works. He was bearing the cost of over 1800 students and was running 26 Orphanages, and 16 Old age homes. He had also provided medical help to many people over the years. Los Angeles, November 1 - Movies are meant to be enjoyed on the big screens and we can finally say, that tradition is returning as the covid-19 pandemic slowing down. After the devastating effect of the pandemic on the box office numbers, the Hollywood film industry started witnessing the recovery from April 2021, and now, in the month of October, it has reached close to the pre-covid level. ## Hollywood saw a number of titles debuted in the month of October. And they jointly made this month a blockbuster at the box office with roughly $625 million, the biggest since February 2020. Sony/Marvel's "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has been the top performer in October at the domestic box office with an estimated $190 million after the 5th weekend. ## The Tom Hardy-starrer debuted in theaters on October 1, after Sony preponed the release date from October 15. The superhero film had the best opening during the pandemic at the North American box office with over $90 million in the 3-day weekend. It is currently the second-best Hollywood pic at the domestic box office after Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings" ($220M+). Worldwide, Venom 2 is heading towards $400 million.## Among the top October grossers, Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond, "No Time To Die" is at number 2 with an estimated $133 million. The spy actioner was released on October 8 in the US and had a good opening at the box office with $56 million in the three-day weekend. This weekend also saw No Time To Die pass the $600 million global mark. Respective current totals for the film stand at $472.4 million internationally and $605.8 million globally.## Director David Gordon Green's slasher film, "Halloween Kills", has been a surprising hit at the box office. The sequel to 2018's Halloween and the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise, Halloween Kills debuted with $50.4M in a 3-day weekend and became the biggest domestic opening for a film releasing in theaters and on the streamer. It earned approx $19 million more than Warner Bros.' Godzilla vs Kong ($31.7M) in the first weekend despite its day-and-day release on Peacock.## Warner Bros.' sci-fi epic, "Dune" has brought satisfactory box office results for the studio after it opened both in theaters and on HBO Max, simultaneously on October 22. The Denis Villeneuve-directed debuted with higher box office projection and earned $41 million in the 3-day opening weekend. Currently, it stands at $69.40 million while worldwide, it is about to cross $300 million. Through Sunday, respective estimated totals for Dune stand at $222.7 million internationally and $292.1 million globally.## Releasing and MGM's computer-animated supernatural road black comedy film "The Addams Family 2" proved to be the fifth-best outing of October with a domestic gross of $53 million through 31 days. Internationally, the film grossed approx $6.4 million this weekend from 32 international markets being handled by Universal, which brings the film's international total from markets being handled by Universal to $34.2 million.## Among the other notable releases, Ron's Gone Wrong has so far grossed $12.60 million through 10 days while Disney and Searchlight's The French Dispatch stands at $4.64 million through ten days and Focus' Last Night in Soho has grossed $4.16 million so far.## Stay tuned...
