Blockbuster Pathaan Hits 3 Crores Footfalls In All Versions
Mumbai, February 13 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's latest blockbuster "Pathaan" is proving to be a massive winner for the makers as well as the Indian cinema exhibition industry. Apart from scoring huge box office numbers, "Pathaan" has brought audiences to theaters in large numbers which no other Bollywood movie could do in recent times.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is among the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time in terms of theater admissions/footfalls. While most of the big-budget films finished below 50 lakh footfalls, "Pathaan" has just hit 3 crores theater footfalls which is the highest for a Bollywood movie since Salman Khan's "Tiger Zinda Hai".
"Pathaan" hit 3 crores in footfalls yesterday (3rd Monday) in all versions (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu). The original Hindi version admissions through the 3rd Monday are approx. 2.86 crores which are the 19th highest for a Bollywood film of all time.
Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit's "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!" is the all-time number 1 Bollywood/Hindi as well as Indian movie in terms of footfalls with approx. 7.40 crores, according to Box of India. SS Rajamouli's "Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion" is the second biggest Hindi movie with 5.25 crores footfalls, followed by "Gadar - Ek Prem Katha" with 5.05 crores.
"Pathaan" Hindi footfalls are expected to finish between 3-3.20 crores which will make it an all-time 11-15 biggest Hindi film.
