Godzilla Vs Kong Sequel Gets A New Title and Offical Synopsis

Los Angeles, April 20 - The fifth installment in Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse, the sequel to 2021's monster battle "Godzilla Vs. Kong" gets a new title and it's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. ## Directed by Adam Wingard, Godzilla x Kong features Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry, who appeared in the last movie, with Dan Stevens joining the cast. The title was announced with a brief teaser showing the fearsome reptile facing off against the massive primate. ## Legendary and Warner Bros. also revealed the official synopsis which says, "This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own". ## "The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever". ## The sequel was announced in March 2022, following the box-office success of "Godzilla vs. Kong" during the COVID-19 pandemic. Los Angeles, April 17 - India's international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is busy with the promotion for her two upcoming big projects, a romantic romantic-comedy drama Love Again, co-starring Sam Heughan and Amazon Prime Video's web series Citadel. ## While "Citadel" premiers on April 28 on Prime Video, the actress will return to the big screen with "Love Again" which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5. It is an English-language remake of the 2016 German film "SMS für Dich", itself based on a novel by Sofie Cramer. ## Directed by James C. Strouse, "Love Again" is projected to take a decent to a good start at the domestic (North American) box office. Los Angeles, March 19 - DC Studios' latest superhero movie, Shazam Fury Of The Gods fails to fly high at the domestic (North America) as well as the overseas box office and fell short of the expectations. ## The sequel to the successful 2019's film opened at number 1 on the domestic opening weekend with $30.5 million, according to Variety. It was, however, projected to start with around $40 million, which was still lower than the opening of its predecessor which debuted with $53.50 million. ## Not only just domestically, but the Shazam sequel also opened lower than expected internationally, grossing $35 million from 77 markets for a global start of $65.5 million.
