Mumbai, February 28 - The trequel to the iconic comedy franchise, Hera Pheri has been confirmed and the makers recently shoot a promo for the same with the original trio of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.## "Hera Pheri 3" is one of the three films of producer Firoz Nadiadwala which has been in development for a long time and finally, it is happening. The producer also working to revive Welcome and Awara Pagal Deewana, and he finally seems to have found a way to successfully bring them into the scene. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has locked "Awara Pagal Deewana 2" which will be the immediate next after Hera Pheri 3. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will be returning to reprise their popular quirky characters of Guru Gulab Khatri, Yeda Anna, and Manilal Patel, respectively, and this time, they will be joined by John Abraham. ## The script of "Awara Pagal Deewana 2" has reportedly been locked and the movie is expected to go into production later this year. The report says that Ahmed Khan will be directing the sequel this time, and he has already begun the preparation. The first movie was directed by Vikram Bhatt. ## The status of "Welcome 3" is not clear yet but it is expected to get on the floor by next year. Mumbai, February 27 - Back in 2020, producer Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur came together to announce the war drama movie Pippa, starring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. ## "Airlift" director Raja Krishna Menon helmed the movie, based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Khattar has played the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.## The movie was originally announced to release in 2021, before makers postponed it to December 2, 2022, due to the covid-19 pandemic which delayed the shoot. When it was looking on track for December 2022 release, the makers postponed it again due to an unknown reason and they are yet to lock the new release date. ## The makers are eyeing only theatrical release as the film is made for the big screen. Now, according to the latest reports, "Pippa" won't be released anytime soon, and there are chances it will only release in 2024 on the silver screen. ## According to PeepingMoon, "Pippa" has returned to the editing table as the final product failed to match the criteria required to get a go-ahead from the producers. Considering it is an 85-crore project, the makers are reworking on it to make it appealing to a wider audience. ## The film takes its title from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as Pippa. Mumbai, February 27 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the promotion of his upcoming romantic comedy "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which is slated to release on March 8 on the occasion of Holi.## Over the last couple of years, there have been talks about Ranbir Kapoor doing the biopics of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Much to the delight of the late singer's fans, Ranbir confirmed that he indeed doing it. ## During the event, Ranbir revealed that he is a part of the Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for the past 11 years. The actor added that filmmaker Anurag Basu has been writing it and hopefully, it will be his next film. ## Meanwhile, the talented actor denied the reports of him being approached for Sourav Ganguly's biopic. It was announced last year and there were reports that Ranbir would be playing the former Indian cricket captain. Expect for "Sooryavanshi" (2021), all of Akshay's films turned flop post the pandemic. ## There has been a common discussion within the film industry that the taste of the audience has changed and those films that were working wonders before covid, doesn't woo the audiences anymore. Keeping those things in mind, Akshay said he needs to correct himself and do films that his fans and audience are demanding. ## During a recent interview with Sudheer Chaudhary of Aaj Tak, Akshay was asked what is the reason behind his films not working at the box office. Mumbai, February 23 - After the dream start of the year with Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Bollywood gets a reality check of the changing box office dynamics in the current scenario. Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada failed to utilize the momentum created by Pathaan as Bollywood's search for the next hit begins. ## The industry is now gearing up for the next release with superior star power in the form of Selfiee. The Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi-fronted flick is not the next Pathaan but the makers will be hoping for a better outcome than Shehzada which was carrying decent expectations. ## The full-fledged advance booking for this Raj Mehta's directorial was opened just 24 hours before the release. While overall pre-sales of Selfiee are low, the pace of it is better than Shehzada which was not going anywhere with its pre-sales numbers. ## Selfiee is not a frontloaded box office flick, it is expected to take in a lower opening than Shehzada which took the start of 6 crores net. Going by the advance booking and considering other aspects, Selfiee is expected to open around 4-5 crores net. It has sold approx. 20K tickets so far for the opening day, which can be termed low.## Produced by Prithviraj Productions, Dharma Productions, and Cape Of Good Films, Selfiee is expected to release on over 3000 screens nationwide. This size of the release is enough for a movie to take a good opening, but again there is a lack of excitement among the moviegoers which makes Selfiee a decent starter.
