Mumbai, July 9 - The half of the year has been completed, and IMDb has unveiled the list of the top 10 most popular Indian movies of 2025 so far. The list includes films released between January 1, 2025 and July 1, 2025, that have an average IMDb user rating of 6 or higher with at least 10,000 votes. ## Determined by the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide, all the top 10 popular films had a theatrical release. Of the top 10 titles, six are Bollywood films, followed by three Tamil films, and one Malayalam movie. ## 1. Chhaava (Hindi) - Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, the historical action drama features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna in the leading roles. It is currently the highest-grossing Indian film with over 800 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. ## 2. Dragon (Tamil) - Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, Dragon is a coming-of-age comedy-drama released on February 21, 2025. Hyderabad, July 8 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited action thriller Kingdom, directed by "Jersey" fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, has been confirmed to hit the big screens on July 31st, after getting postponed on multiple occasions. ## The release date announcement of "Kingdom" has ended the wait for the fans, but the announcement comes with a twist. The movie was originally announced to be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi (as "Saamraajya"), but in the latest release date announcement, there is no mention of the Hindi version. ## While the clear reason for not releasing the movie in Hindi is not known yet, the reports say that it will be released directly on a streaming platform. Netflix is the streaming partner of the movie, and there was a different deal in place originally. ## However, the multiple delays led to a situation where Netflix asked the makers to release the movie in theatres as soon as possible. Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' Release Date Revealed

Mumbai, July 6 - Actor Ranveer Singh and "URI" director Aditya Dhar teamed up for the first time for a spy action thriller, tentatively titled Dhurandhar. The movie has been in production since last year, and it won't be exaggerated to say that it is Ranveer's most anticipated movie in the post-COVID-19 world. ## First look teaser on Ranveer's birthday ## The buzz around the movie is genuinely positive, and to take things a notch higher, the makers are set to drop the first look teaser of the film on the occasion of Ranveer's birthday, on July 6. The teaser is reportedly carrying fantastic inside reports, and everyone associated with the film is excited to see the audience reception. ## Shooting details, and potential release date ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the shoot of Dhurandhar has around 25 days of shoot left, and the team is expected to call wrap by early September. The post-production work is reportedly going on in tandem as the makers announced the release of the film on December 5, 2025. All the shot portions have already been lined up and edited. ## Meanwhile, there were rumours that the movie might also be looking at December 12, since Prabhas-fronted much-awaited Pan India horror-comedy "The Raja Saab" along with Shahid Kapoor's "Romeo", directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, are already slated to hit the screens on the same day. But the makers officially confirmed the December 5th release of Dhurandhar. ## Cast and plot details ## The official release date of Dhurandhar, which boasts a stellar ensemble, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Yami Gautam and Arjun Rampal, is expected to be announced with the teaser. The film is produced by Aditya Dhar and Jio Studios. ## The film is set in the era of 70s and 80s in India and Pakistan. Box Office: 'Jurassic World Rebirth' Scores Good Opening In India; Set To Exceed Weekend Expectations Worldwide

Mumbai, July 5 - There are very few film franchises which are critic-proof, and Jurassic World is one of them. Despite the mixed reviews, the latest instalment of the franchise Jurassic World Rebirth is set to exceed the industry projection by a good margin at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Gareth Edwards, the sci-fi adventure movie had a Wednesday release in most of the markets, including the domestic (North America). Through Friday, the film has already grossed $162 million worldwide and is now projected to hit $300+ million 5-day opening weekend. ## Before the release, Universal Pictures and the Hollywood trade agencies were projecting $250 million - $260 million worldwide, which is set to be topped when actuals arrive on Monday. The current trend indicates $140 million - $150 million domestic and $160 million - $170 million overseas, for the worldwide opening weekend in the range of $300 million - $320 million. ## In India, the fourth Jurassic World film had a good opening with around 11 crore gross ($1.30 million) on Friday, and the 3-day opening weekend is looking to be in the range of 40-45 crores gross (~$5 million), which is a good result and one of the biggest opening weekends of the year for a Hollywood title. ## Stay tuned...
