Mumbai, April 12 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor's maiden collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar finally got some update after Jio Studios unveiled the first look poster today. The movie has been in production since 2021. ## A few hours later after the first look poster was released, Jio Studios also released new action-packed glimpses, and reportedly, the release date was also revealed. It is said that the crime action thriller will be released on June 9, 2023. ## Bloody Daddy will skip theatrical release and will directly premiere on the Jio Cinema app. This announcement was made at the event of Jio Studios, which has backed the action entertainer. The studio confirmed 100 stories in the form of movies and web shows across multiple languages. ## As far as the theatrical slate is concerned, Jio Studios has some of the most anticipated films in its kitty. Among the films the studio has, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's yet untitled love story carries huge anticipation among the fans, and to their delight, it unveils a new glimpse and looks. ## The movie was recently announced officially with the first look poster. Mumbai, April 12 - Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi directorial debut film Ved recently completed 100 days in theaters with the blockbuster collection. It was released in theaters on December 30, 2022, and has grossed close to 75 crores, becoming the second highest-grossing Marathi film of all time. ## The film has been enjoying its run in theaters for more than 3 months and credit to the makers for giving it enough time to make the most of it. Since there is not much left in the tank for Ved as far as the box office is concerned, it is now gearing up for its digital release. ## Ved will be released on Disney+Hotstar on April 28. It will also be dubbed into Hindi language and will simultaneously be released on Hotstar with the Marathi version. The Hindi version wasn't released in theaters. ## Ved becomes the rare Marathi film to also have a dubbed release. Los Angeles, April 12 - The first trailer of Marvel Studios' highly anticipated The Marvels was launched Tuesday (April 11). The all-female-led superhero sequel to the blockbuster "Captain Marvel" will see uniting Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and also Carol Danvers' number 1 fan Kamala Khan on a cosmic adventure. ## Soon after the trailer was released online, Marvel unveiled the official synopsis of "The Marvels". It also confirmed the important connection to the MCU's first project from the Multiverse Saga in, WandaVision. The core plot revealed that Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau has now been promoted to astronaut following her Hex-focused mission with SWORD in WandaVision.## The synopsis reads, "In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels".## Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Vicky Kaushal was roped in to play this lead role while Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Movies was to produce this big-budget epic. ## The film was supposed to start in 2021, but due to budget issues, it was put on hold indefinitely. The film has undergone numerous casting and budgetary changes over the past two years as both Vicky Kaushal and Ronnie Screwvala backed out from the project.## Now, after almost two years, the mammoth project seems to be back on track with a different cast. According to Peepingmoon.com, Aditya Dhar has approached Ranveer Singh to play the role of Ashwatthama and the talks are in the advanced stage. ## "Aditya Dhar and Ranveer have been discussing this project for months, and talks are now in an advanced stage. It's a big theatrical project about a larger-than-life character, and Ranveer doesn't want to pass up the opportunity to play such a legendary role. He has given his nod and is expected to sign on the dotted line as soon as all the formalities are completed", a source close to the development told Peepingmoon.com.## The website also revealed that Jio Studios has come on board to produce and has sanctioned a humongous budget for this sci-fi superhero film. Dhar has been working on the script and pre-production for months and will kick off shooting around October this year. ## Ranveer will undergo a major physical transformation and will be trained in various forms of martial arts, sword fighting, and archery techniques to get into the skin of the character. Mumbai, April 12 - Ajay Devgn-directed and fronted action drama Bholaa has crossed the 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office, becoming the second film of Ajay in a row after Drishyam 2 to reach the milestone. ## An adaptation of the Tamil hit Kaithi, Bholaa reached the 100 crores mark on its 13th day and is continuing with a decent run at the domestic as well as overseas box office despite the mixed reviews and not being a multiplex-friendly flick. ## In India, it has grossed approx. 90 crores (75+ crore net) through 2nd Tuesday. By 3rd Friday, Bholaa will become the highest-grossing Hindi remake (when the original version is available in Hindi) post the covid-19 pandemic, after crossing Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha's 78.9 crores net. ## At the overseas box office, Bholaa has collected approx. 13 crores, pushing the total worldwide cume to approx. 103 crores so far. Hyderabad, April 11 - Telugu producer Dil Raju is reportedly planning a big-budget mythology trilogy with some of the biggest stars of Indian cinema and he has confirmed one with Prabhas in the lead under the direction of Prashanth Neel. ## It was recently reported that Prabhas and Prashanth Neel would be reuniting for a mythological epic, titled Ravanam. Confirming the same, Dil Raju revealed in an interview with Pinkvilla that Neel has already locked the script with Prabhas headlining it. ## "Prashanth Neel has finalized a script and we are planning it with Prabhas. The two are already working together on Salaar. After Salaar, Prashanth has a commitment with NTR, so maybe post the NTR film, Prashanth will commence work on this project. It's in the discussion stage now", said the producer. ## Dil Raju is currently busy with the promotion of Samantha Ruth Prabhu-fronted Pan India epic Shaakuntalam which is scheduled to release on April 14.
