Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa - The Rule' First Glimpse Sees Record-Breaking Response

Hyderabad, April 8 - The highly anticipated Pan India tentpole movie Pushpa - The Rule starring superstar Allu Arjun witnessed the first explosion after the makers released an interesting first look teaser on April 7. ## Titled "Where Is Pushpa, the teaser gives a completely different take that wasn't hinted at in the first film "Pushpa - The Rise". This new way of hyping the film is being loved by the audience who are now eager to know how things will unfold in the second part. ## The teaser promo is witnessing a record-breaking response on YouTube and has crossed a whopping 54 million views across all languages in the first 24 hours. The Hindi promo scored a smashing 27.70 million views during the same time period while the original Telugu version saw 20.45 million views.## Directed by Sukumar, "Pushpa - The Rise" was a big blockbuster in Hindi with approx. 108 crores net and the excitement is at an all-time high among the Hindi audiences for the second part which is anticipated to break all the existing records at the box office. ## The movie is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Nani's Dasara Crossed 100 Crores Gross At The Worldwide Box Office

Hyderabad, April 8 - Natural star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama film Dasara has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film of Nani to reach the milestone. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara crossed the 100 crores mark on its 8th day and has so far grossed approx. 106 crores worldwide (10 days). At the domestic box office, the movie has minted approx. 86 crores, including approx. 68 crores in Telugu states. ## Dasara was a multi-lingual release, however, it failed to create any impact other than the Telugu language in which it has so far collected approx. 80 crores gross while other languages have contributed around 6 crores gross. ## At the overseas box office, Dasara has scored around 20 crores gross so far. Mumbai, April 8 - Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios has officially announced their next production, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The yet-untitled movie has been co-written and directed by Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah. ## Billed as an impossible love story, Maddock Films announced that the shooting has been completed, and the movie will be released in October this year. The makers also unveiled the first-look poster of the movie featuring Shahid and Kriti. ## The first-look poster shows the lead couple sitting on a bike with the sea in the backdrop and holding each other in the position of a kiss. Reportedly, Shahid plays a robotics guy while Kriti Sanon will be seen playing a robot. It's a quirky Indian take on the romance between a man and a machine, something that has been explored many times in Hollywood but is rare in Indian cinema. ## The story of the film is reportedly set in a small town against the backdrop of an Indian cultural tradition. Three New Star Wars Movies Are Officially In The Works

Los Angeles, April 8 - Star Wars movies are back, finally!## Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that three new Star Wars movies are officially in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter. These films get officially announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, held in London on April 7. ## The three new films will be directed by James Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. As per THR, Mangold's movie will go back to the dawn of the Jedi and would look at the origins of the Force and be set 25,000 years before any of the timelines and stories told by the movies and shows so far.## Dave Filoni's Star Wars film will focus on the New Republic, and close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series while a film Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will be set after the events of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and feature Daisy Ridley as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order. ## Ridley's character, Rey, finished the 2019 movie ("Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker") by taking on the last name of Skywalker, a nod to carrying on the legacy of Luke and Leia Skywalker as she became a fully realized Jedi. Movie is set to outshine the initial box office projections ($225+ million worldwide), that too by a huge margin. ## Based on Nintendo's Mario video game franchise, "Super Mario Bros." has already grossed $120.7 million at the global box office in just 2 days, and with Friday - Sunday weekend due, the movie is looking to go beyond $350 million mark in the extended 5-day opening weekend. ## At the domestic (North America) box office, Super Mario Bros. had the biggest opening day ever for a video game adaptation feature with a mighty $31.7 million on Wednesday, followed by the historic Thursday with $26.5 million (the biggest Thursday ever for an animated movie).## The movie started the weekend after grossing a mammoth $55 million Friday, the biggest non-opening Friday ever. The total domestic cume after the first three 3 days stands at $113.3 million and the 5-day weekend is now projected to reach $195 million - $220 million.## The collection coming from international markets is equally impressive with $62.10 million over 60 markets in the first two days. The superstar was competing with some of the most influential people in the world such as actor Michelle Yeoh, athlete Serena Williams, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Argentian footballer Lionel Messi. ## Having done more than 100 films, Shah Rukh Khan is top of the game at the moment after the historic blockbuster success of Yash Raj Films' "Pathaan" which was released in January this year and grossed over 1050 crores worldwide. It is a question that can't be answered by any other than someone who has worked in both camps closely, and that is maverick filmmaker James Gunn who is also now the co-head of DC Studios. ## In comics, the characters of DC and Marvel have crossed each other's paths such as Spider-Man teamed with Superman and Batman, The Hulk battled Batman, and even the Silver Surfer met Superman, among others.## Now, according to James Gunn, the crossover of these superheroes is not a far-fetched dream, especially since he is now in charge at DC Studio. However, this is not gonna happen anytime soon but definitely someday or maybe before his tenure ends.## In their latest issue, Empire quoted (via Deadline) Gunn's take on the matches as a definite maybe. "I'm certain that's more likely now that I'm in charge [at DC]", Gunn told the magazine, "Who knows?" However, "That's many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we're doing [at DC] first".## The filmmaker further said that they have discussed the crossover films of DC and Marvel "but all discussions have been very, very light and fun".## Meanwhile, James Gunn is currently busy with the promotion of his last Marvel project (at least for now) "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" which is slated to release on May 5. Hyderabad, April 6 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is busy with the shooting of his much-awaited political action thriller film Game Changer with director Shankar. However, it has now been revealed that Charan wasn't his first choice for the movie. ## During a recent interview with Mirchi9, producer Dil Raju revealed that director Shankar wanted to make the movie with superstar Pawan Kalyan. However, after listing the story for 45-minutes, Dil Raju told Shankar that Ram Charan would be the perfect fit for the role and that's how he came on board RC15, now a "Game Changer".## Written by Karthik Subbaraj and screenplay penned by Shankar, "Game Changer" in the last leg of shoot and it will soon be wrapped up. Ram Charan plays the protagonist while Kiara Advani is the leading lady along with S. J. Suryah, among others in key roles.## The movie marks Shankar's debut in Telugu cinema. The release date is not announced yet but reports say it will either release on Christmas 2023 or March/April 2024.
