Stree 2 vs Gadar 2 Day Wise Domestic Box Office Comparison
Stree 2 was released on August 15, the same week Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2 debuted on the big screen last year (August 11). Just like the latest blockbuster, the Gadar sequel also turned out one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever by earning over 500 crores in net collection and close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office.
Interestingly, there isn't much difference between the domestic collection of Stree 2 and Gadar 2 in the first 12 days with the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer having a slight edge. Both the films' initial day-wise box office trending remained frontloaded, followed by a good hold after that (for Gadar 2).

Stree 2 had a Thursday release, on National Holiday (August 15) while Gadar 2 was a regular Friday release ahead of Independence Day. As you can see in the above table, Stree 2 is ahead by around 44 crores in net collection over Gadar 2 after the first 25 days.
It has outgrossed the lifetime domestic collection of Sunny Deol-fronted action drama. Gadar 2 finished its run at 525.70 crores net, and during its run, it faced competition from multiple films which went on to film big box office successes.
