Mumbai, September 20 - As Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is getting closer to becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office, the horror-comedy blockbuster has topped 30 million (3 crores) footfalls in India. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has crossed 3 crore admissions in Indian theatres as I type this and becomes the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. Stree 2 is the first 3 crore footfall title for the entire major cast and crew along with Maddock Film and Jio Studio.## Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Stree 2 is the 8th film to sell 30 million or more tickets at the Indian box office, after RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, and Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, Stree 2 has sold 10 million tickets through the ticketing platform Book My Show, making it the second movie of 2024 after Kalki to do so. ## At the box office, the Maddock Films' production has scored approximately 564 crores net collection (673 crores gross) at the domestic box office. This took the total re-release collection of the movie to approximately 13.15 crores net in 7 days. ## Tumbbad is expected to witness a good jump on its second Friday due to National Cinema Day on which the ticket prices are kept at just rs. 99. Mumbai, September 17 - The folk horror thriller Tumbbad is heading towards emerging as a big success story in its re-release run at the domestic box office after not getting much return in its original run 6 years ago despite the critical acclaim.## Upon re-release on September 13, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film had a very good opening weekend with approximately 7.25 crores net which is almost 225% more than the film's original run first-weekend collection of 3.25 crores net.## The superb weekend almost ensured that the film would do well during the weekdays and come the first Monday, it performed better than expected to score higher collection than the first day (Friday). On its 4th day, Tumbbad scored approximately 1.75 crores net collection, around a 40% drop from Sunday and a 10% jump from Friday. ## The movie's total collection after 4 days is approximately 9 crores net and is now just 4.50 crores away from outgrossing its lifetime original run collection of 13.50 crores net. Amid the success of a few re-releases, Yash Raj Film's Veer-Zaara returned to the big screen and scored well in the opening weekend. ## The 20-year-old epic romantic drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji, was re-released on September 13 on over 300 shows, which jumped to over 400 shows on Sunday after the positive response at the box office. ## The Yash Chopra's superhit directorial scored approximately 25 lakh gross collection on its opening day upon re-release. The movie witnessed an upward trend on the second day to score approximately 40 lakh gross, followed by another 45+ lakh on Sunday, for approximately 1.10+ crore gross (95 lakh net) opening weekend. ## Earlier in the year, Veer-Zaara had occasional re-releases on limited shows where it grossed approximately 40 lakh collection, and including the latest re-release, the movie has grossed around 1.50 crores this year (1.30 crores net). ## Veer-Zaara was a super hit at the box office in its original run with approximately 97 crores worldwide gross collection. After the re-release this year, the total collection is now around 98.50 crores. Mumbai, September 16 - There is no stopping horror-comedy blockbuster Stree 2 which is racing towards the ultimate glory of becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office by crossing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. ## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao once again created history by scoring the biggest 5th weekend with approximately 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. Previously, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike had the biggest 5th weekend with 12.50 crores net. ## Interestingly, URI's 5th-weekend collection was higher than the full 5th-week collection of the rest of the movies, including Baahubali 2 (11.78 crores net), Tanhaji (10.41 crores), and KGF 2 (10.25 crores). Stree 2 has topped them all and will also become the highest fifth-week grosser of all time in Hindi by crossing URI (18.75 crores net).## Stree 2 has become only the second film ever to cross 550 crores net collection in Hindi.
