Mumbai, September 4 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a roaring comeback on the big screen with three back-to-back big box office successes in 2023 in the form of Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki which combined grossed over 2600 crores worldwide. ## 2023 proved to be a dominating year for Bollywood, thanks to the major contribution from the aforementioned three films. It was also a year to remember for Shah Rukh Khan and his fans, however, 2024 hasn't been the same for them with not a single release. ## After 2024, it looks like there will be no film of Shah Rukh Khan getting released in 2025 as well. The actor is presently working on director Sujoy Ghosh's action thriller The King which is in the pre-production stage. The much-anticipated film, which also stars Suhana Khan, will start shooting by the end of this year. ## According to the latest buzz in the industry, The King is targeting an early 2026 release, which means no Shah Rukh Khan film for the second year in a row at a time when he is at the top of his game. While it's a long wait for the fans, it is also a loss to some extent for exhibitors who hugely benefitted from SRK's last three films in 2023. ## Apart from The King, Shah Rukh Khan also has Yash Raj Films' Pathaan 2, which is expected to go on floors by 2025, and Tiger vs Pathaan. Mumbai, September 2 - The re-release factor has been working well at the box office for the classic Bollywood hits for the last few months. After Rockstar and Laila Majnu, it's now turn for R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan-led love story Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which is turning out to be a success story at the box office. ## Directed by Gautham Menon, RHTDM was re-released on August 30 and did well at the box office, grossing approximately 1.20 crore (1 crore net) in its opening weekend. It scored approximately 20 lakh gross on its first day (Friday), before jumping by over 100% for approx. 45 lakh on Saturday and another 60 lakh gross on Sunday.## It now needs to see how the fair during the weekdays, which will determine how far it will go at the box office. The last couple of Bollywood re-releases did well beyond opening weekends and since RHTDM has been a popular film over the years on television, there is a chance it will repeat the success of those movies to reach a respectable total. ## RHTDM, which is a remake of the popular Tamil film Minnell, was originally released in 2001 and did decently at the box office with a worldwide gross collection of over 10 crores. Mumbai, September 1 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted mega-blockbuster Stree 2 has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2024 at the overseas box office, after beating Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter. ## The horror-comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, has grossed an estimated 110 crores internationally in 17 days so far, surpassing the lifetime overseas total of Fighter's 104 crores. These two are the only Bollywood films of the year to cross the 100-crore mark outside India. ## Among the Indian films of the year, Stree 2 is behind only Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD (275 crores approx.) at the overseas box office. Kalki is a multilingual release and it grossed over 50 crores in Hindi internationally. ## Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 is nearing 700 crores mark at the worldwide box office. After the third Saturday (17th day), it grossed approximately 657 crores, including 547 crores (458 crores net) in India. Mumbai, August 31 - Critically acclaimed folk horror thriller Tumbbad is making its way back to the big screen this September. ## The film, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, is set to be re-released on September 13. It was supposed to get re-issued on August 30 but has been pushed back by 2 weeks. The makers announced the re-release date on Saturday with a new poster. ## The poster features the film's protagonist, Vinayak Rao (played by Sohum Shah), leading his young son Pandurang (played by Mohammad Samad) through the night with a lantern, with an atmosphere of supernatural elements of their journey. ## The film, written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Gandhi, and produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah, tells the story of Rao's descent into greed as he hunts for a mythical treasure guarded by a malevolent entity named Hastar.## Tumbbad was originally released in October 2018 and it was hailed as the finest folk horror movie of Indian cinema. Mumbai, August 29 - Director Om Raut has finally opened up on Adipurush, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas. It was one of the most-hyped Indian movies in recent times but ended up as a major disappointment on every front.## The movie got trolled for the cringe characterization of the figures of the epic Ramayana and was largely a box office misfire despite the huge initial collections that were pulled through the factor of Ramayana and Prabhas' mega-stardom.## Made on a massive budget of 500 crores, Adipurush grossed around 400 crores at the worldwide box office and was termed a big flop, especially in the Telugu version. However, unlike the public opinion on the film's box office numbers, Om Raut seems to be happy with its performance. ## During a recent interview with a Marathi media, Om Raut called out the trollers and said that they don't need to bother too much about this faceless army on social media. Mumbai, August 26 - Maverick director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to direct Pan India superstar Prabhas and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in his next films. The filmmaker delivered a monstrous blockbuster last year in the form of Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Animal which was the talk of the town after getting released in December.## It has been over 8 months since Animal was released and the fans are now waiting for the filmmaker's next film. During a recent interview, Vanga shared that he already has planned his next two films on which, he would be working for the next four years. ## As known to everyone, the Kabir Singh director has Prabhas-fronted Spirit as his next film. He shared an update that the pre-production work on the movie has already started and will be released in the next 2 years, which means in 2026 only.## The initial plan was to start the filming for Spirit by 2024 end and release it in 2025, however, it seems the shoot will start early next year for the 2026 theatrical debut, as revealed by the filmmaker. The movie will be a pure mass entertainer, unlike the previous 2 films of the director. ## After Spirit, Vanga will start Animal Park which is the sequel to Animal. Ranbir Kapoor will return to reprise his double roles as Ranvijay Singh Balbir and Aziz Haque. Box Office: 'Stree 2' Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 25 - Mega blockbuster Stree 2 has a historic second weekend at the domestic box office with well over 90 crores net collection, making it the biggest 2nd weekend ever in Hindi beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.## After the excellent opening weekend, followed by the week, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy exploded again in its second frame. Acceptance among all age groups and the lack of major competition are making sure Stree 2 remain one of the best-performing films in recent times. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the blockbuster film scored the biggest second Saturday by edging past Animal and repeating the feat, Stree 2 has scored the biggest second Sunday with a very good margin by topping Gadar 2 as early estimates suggest 43-45 crores net on its 11th day. ## The second weekend of Stree 2 is 93+ crores net which is the biggest ever in Hindi, ahead of Gadar 2 which scored approximately 91 crores net last year during the same time.
