Hyderabad, May 28 - On the occasion of India's great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar's 140th birth anniversary, a Pan-India movie The India House: Jai Mata Di, starring Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role. ## "The India House" will be produced by superstar Ram Charan and Vikram Reddy's new production house V Mega Pictures in association with "The Kashmir Files" producer Abhishek Agarwal's Abhishek Agarwal Arts and will be directed by debutante Ram Vamsi Krishna. ## Based on a forgotten chapter in Indian history, the movie is set in the pre-independence era (1905) in London and promises to take the audience back in time and immerse them in a tale that touches their hearts. The movie announcement teaser looks grand and hints at the events unfolding around The India House. ## The movie features Nikhil Siddhartha as Shiva and Anupam Kher as Shyamji Krishna Varma. Kochi, May 27 - It has been three weeks since the Malayalam movie 2018 was released in theaters, and as things stand today, it is the all-time highest-grossing Malayalam movie at the worldwide box office. ## The Jude Anthany Joseph's directorial film, based on the true events of the Kerala floods in 2018, was released at a time when the Mollywood industry wasn't having a great time at the box office with back-to-back failures this year.## The makers hardly had any idea about the film's box office potential, but now, the results are there for everyone to see. Being a small film industry with not much market outside Kerala, the Malayalam industry hasn't delivered many huge box office blockbusters, hence the success of "2018" becomes even more special. ## It is only the 3rd Malayalam title of all time to cross the 100 crores mark at the worldwide box office and even went on to top Mohanlal's "Pulimurugan" to become the Malayalam industry hit. While the job is already done, the movie is in no mood to slow down and now has breached the untouchable mark for a Malayalam movie. ## On the film's 22nd day, "2018" crossed the rare milestone of 150 crores at the worldwide box office and becomes the only Malayalam movie so far to do so. The previous highest-grossing film "Pulimurugan" finished its run at around 138 crores, but "2018" went one step ahead to open a new box office territory for Malayalam cinema. ## Meanwhile, "2018" is still performing very well and is on the verge of creating another history, this time at the Kerala box office. Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited social comedy-drama film OMG - Oh My God! - 2 will be released in theaters, contrary to rumors about the direct-to-digital release. ## Directed by Amit Rai, the movie is a spiritual sequel to "OMG – Oh My God! (2012) and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The movie has been in production since 2021. The movie was supposed to release in cinemas last year, however, due to the delay in the shoot, the makers postponed the release indefinitely. ## It was recently reported that the movie has opted for a direct OTT release, however, the makers never confirmed the same. Now, according to Pinkvilla, "OMG 2" is being readied for its theatrical release this year as the makers never discussed its OTT release. ## "Akshay Kumar along with his partners, Ashwin Varde, Viacom 18, and Jio Studios have decided on a theatrical release for Oh My God 2. Several discussions happen throughout the course of making, but, Oh My God 2 was always announced as a theatrical venture. The officials never commented on the OTT release, and even today, the film is being readied as a theatrical venture", the report reads.## The movie is said to be set against the backdrop of sex education in India in which Akshay plays the role of lord Shiva while Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam play the prominent roles. Prabhas To Collaborate With Trivikram Srinivas For The First Time?

Hyderabad, May 27 - A few days ago, it was reported that superstar Prabhas is in talks with "Sita Ramam" director Hanu Raghvapudi for a big-budget Pan India movie. Later it was revealed that the movie will have a war backdrop which the actor liked and will start shooting once he finishes his ongoing projects. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, the "Baahubali" star is in the early talks with director Trivikram Srinivas for a possible collaboration. Trivikram, who is currently directing superstar Mahesh Babu in "SSMB 28", recently pitched a story idea to Prabhas and it is said to be completely different from what they have done before. ## The project in question is still in the so early stage to get confirmation but the report revealed it will be in a unique space for Prabhas and won't be anything that anyone has seen him before. If the project finalizes, it will mark Prabhas and Trivikram's maiden collaboration. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, has a number of films to finish. He is currently gearing up for the release of director Om Raut's "Adipurush" (June 16) and then has Prashanth Neel's "Salaar", scheduled for September 28, 2023, release. The actor is also shooting for Nag Ashwin's sci-fi actioner "Project K" along with director Maruthi's "Raja Deluxe". ## After finishing the aforementioned films, Prabhas will start director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Spirit" before moving to Hanu Raghvapudi and Trivikram Srinivas' movies. Los Angeles, May 27 - The 4-films John Wick recently crossed the milestone of $1 billion at the global box office after the recording-breaking performance of "John Wick: Chapter 4" which has so far grossed over $425 million worldwide. ## Now, as "John Wick 4" is nearing its run at the box office, Lionsgate has already started working on its fifth installment with Keanu Reeves returning to reprise his role as Baba Yaga aka John Wick, a professional hitman and assassin. ## During a Q4 earnings call on Thursday, Lionsgate's motion picture group chair Joe Drake presented the plans of the studio for the "John Wick" franchise and teased the 5th installment of the action thriller series. ## "What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spinoff that comes out next year. We're in development on three others, including five and including the television series, The Continental, which will be airing soon", Joe Drake said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.## "We're building out the world and when that five movies comes, it will be organic — will be organically grown out of how we're starting to tell those stories. Los Angeles, May 27 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise returns as IMF agent, Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, and this, he will get some more time to complete his mission as the movie is set to be longest yet in the franchise. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the 7th installment in the "Mission Impossible" franchise is gearing up to release on July 12 in the US, and it will officially be the longest film in the series but still shorter than certain rumors had it at. ## According to IGN, "MI 7" will clock in at 2 hours and 36 minutes (156 minutes) without credits, making it the longest film surpassing 2018's "Mission: Impossible Fallout", which had a runtime of 2 hours and 27 minutes. Earlier, there were rumors that the movie might clock 2 hours 45 minutes of runtime without credits, which is not the case as confirmed by the report. ## Interestingly, the theatrical runtime of the "Mission Impossible" movies continues to get increased with each passing film, except for the 5th movie "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" (131 minutes) which finished 2 minutes shorter than the 4th movie "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" (133 minutes). The first movie in this spy action thriller franchise "Mission: Impossible" (1998) ran for 110 minutes only. ## Meanwhile, the upcoming film in the series will see Tom Cruise performing the most dangerous and death-defying stunt yet as he and his IMF team embark on their dangerous mission to track down a terrifying weapon that threatens humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. ## Made on a budget of around $300 million, the Paramount Pictures movie will be hitting cinemas on July 12, after being pushed up by two days recently. The movie reunites the lead pair Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma after "Commando 3" which was released in 2019.## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Adah said that she is excited to be back as Bhavana Reddy in the upcoming film. "I am doing Commando with him (Vipul Shah), where I again play Bhavana Reddy. So for the action fans, that’s still there. There will be more action and more comedy... that role stays as is in Commando". ## Andy Long, who is Jackie Chan's stunt director, is on board the movie. "So the action is also going to be quite cool, and they are using different objects as weapons. Mumbai, May 26 - Director Sudipto Sen's blockbuster The Kerala Story continues to make money at the box office after putting up a solid third-week collection. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time. This pushed the total net collection of "The Kerala Story" to over 212 crores, which makes it the 24th highest-earning Hindi of all time. ## "The Kerala Story" will look to top "The Kashmir Files" in its lifetime run. TKF scored approx. 252 crores net collection, which is the 16th highest-ever for a Hindi movie. TKS has a much better hold as compared to TKF (-71.60%) in the third week which gives the latest blockbuster a chance to cross Vivek Agnihotri's directorial. ## The worldwide collection of TKS is approx. 265 crores through the third week and it will finish over 300 crores in its lifetime run which will make it only the 4th Bollywood movie post the covid-19 pandemic and 2nd of 2023 to do so. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, May 25 - Vin Diesel-fronted Hollywood action thriller Fast X was the first choice of Indian moviegoers this week, and rightly so, it scored one of the biggest opening weeks for a non-superhero Hollywood titles in India. ## "Fast & Furious" is one of the most loved Hollywood franchises in India and the 10th installment has lived up to the expectations. The movie was released on Thursday (May 18), and despite the mid-week release, it scored a very good 4-day weekend with approx. 60 crores net (71 crores gross) collection. ## The high-octane actioner remained steady during the weekdays which helped it to post around 79+ crores net in the extended 8-day first week. This is the second-biggest opening week total for a non-superhero Hollywood title in India, after "The Lion King" (2019) which scored 81+ crores net collection. ## "Fast X" is approaching 100 crores net club and it will breach this mark mostly during the second week. It will be the second film in the "Fast and Furious" franchise to enter the 100 crores net club in India after "Fast & Furious 7" (2015) which scored approx. 108 crores net. Thanks to the phenomenal response, the 'Jai Shri Ram' song has crossed 100 million views on YouTube in just 5 days. ## The Hindi version of the song has alone scored 87+ million views, followed by 9.5+ million views of the Telugu version. The yet-untitled movie will jointly be produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. ## The upcoming movie marks the maiden Bollywood movie of director Andrrews who is known for Malayalam blockbusters such as "Mumbai Police" and "Kayamkulam Kochunni" while it also marks the first time that Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films have worked together. ## Shahid Kapoor said, "It's rare to find a subject that has action, thrill, drama, and suspense all packed into one script and I am really looking forward to this.
