Jyothika Joins Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan In Vikas Bahl's Supernatural Thriller Film

Mumbai, May 15 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's yet untitled supernatural thriller film with director Vikas Bahl is getting bigger on the casting front with supremely talented actors coming on board. ## After the announcement of the movie recently, the makers roped in R Madhavan to play a key role and now, Tamil actress Jyothika has been confirmed to play a prominent role in the film. This marks Jyotika's return to Hindi cinema after more than two decades. ## The last time Jyotika was seen in a Hindi film was in the multilingual movie "Little John" (2000) which was released in Tamil, Hindi, and English. She made her acting debut with "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna" (1998) and that is the only direct Bollywood movie she has done in her two-decade-plus-long career.## The upcoming movie will see her sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn for the first time. With Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika on board, audience anticipation for this untitled film is extremely high. The shoot of the film will start in June this year and it will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Mussoorie, and London over the time period of two months. The Kerala Story Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 14 - After scoring the biggest single day of its box office run yesterday, The Kerala Story exploded further on its second Sunday to register its biggest day so far.## As per the early estimates, the blockbuster movie scored an estimated 23 crores net collection, including around 50 lacs in the dubbed Telugu version. There is a possibility for the Hindi version to hit 23 crores net today which remains to see. ## The total collection of The Kerala Story has reached around 136 crores net in just 10 days, and it will cross "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" by tomorrow or Tuesday to become the second biggest Bollywood movie of the year. TKS is heading for a lifetime finish of over 200 crores net. ## While TKS is performing exceptionally well, Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 has put in a decent opening weekend total by scoring around 7.50 crores net, after an estimated 3.20 crores net on Sunday. Despite not having a huge buzz, the spy thriller has done well to find its footing in the TKS wave. ## "IB71" will look to finish around 25 crores net which will be a decent result for it as the budget of the movie is not huge. Los Angeles, May 14 - Marvel Studios' latest superhero blockbuster Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 has jumped past $500 million at the worldwide box office after the remarkable second-weekend hold domestically (North America) as well as internationally. ## James Gunn's directed flick has crossed the lifetime total of Marvel's last film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" ($475.50 million) in just 10 days after pushing total global cume to $531 million, including $214.70 million at the domestic box office. ## In its second weekend, GoTG3 scored the second biggest hold in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), after "Black Panther" (44.70%), and the best comic book movie hold post the covid-19 pandemic after dropping just 47.10% for $62.60 million. ## Internationally, the final film in Gunn's Guardians trilogy added another solid $92 million for a $316.20 million total overseas collection. The third installment is expected to become the highest-grossing film in the trilogy as Hollywood Trade is expecting it to finish over $900 million worldwide. ## The top overseas markets of GoTG3 through the second Sunday are as follows - China ($58.2M), the UK ($29.6M), Mexico ($24.7M), Korea ($21.7M), France ($18.3M), Germany ($13.4M), Australia ($13.1M), Brazil ($12.4M), Italy ($8.8M), and Indonesia ($7.80M). Tokyo, May 14 - The epic Indian blockbuster RRR, directed by maverick SS Rajamouli, is unstoppable at the Japanese box office, proving to be a monstrous hit in the country. ## Released in October last year, "RRR" initially feared a short life in Japan after lower than expected opening. However, as word of mouth spread, it became a force to reckon with, and as things stand today, it has crossed the historic ¥2 billion/$14.75 million or 121+ crores.## The period action drama is going nuts at the Japanese box office since last year and currently playing in a handful of cinemas. "RRR" already became the highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan in December 2022 after beating Rajinikanth's "Muthu" but it has stunned one and all with its longevity at the box office.## The period action drama has been running in theaters for over 205 days and has scored over 1.2 million footfalls. The movie will be produced by Puri Jangannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects.## The shoot of "Double iSmart" is expected to commence around September/October this year as the movie has been confirmed to release on March 8, 2024, on the occasion of Mahashivratri. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. The co-partner with Farhan Akhtar at Excel Entertainment, Ritesh further said that the team is excited and waiting to see Don on the big screen soon. ## The first "Don" movie was released in 2006, followed by the second installment in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka Chopra among others reprising their roles. Mumbai, May 13 - The blockbuster hit The Kerala Story stormed into the 100 crores net club in some style by recording the biggest single-day collection of its box office run so far. ## After scoring an excellent second Friday, the drama film went into beast mode and scored an estimated 19+ crores net collection on its second Saturday. The movie has shot at hitting 20 crores net depending on where the night shows finish. ## The second Saturday collection of the movie takes total domestic cume to around 112 crores in just 9 days, making it the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club. With this, The Kerala Story also crossed Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan's domestic total of around 110 crores net.## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is showing the same trend as Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files on a day-wise basis. Los Angeles, May 13 - The Fast and Furious saga is one step closer to its end but it can't get done without one of the franchise's biggest assets, Dwayne Johnson. ## Dwayne Johnson, who last appeared in the Fast & Furious spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw" in 2019, previously told that he would never be making his comeback in the franchise, but it seems that has become a thing of the past as according to The Wrap, the Hollywood superstar is all set for one final ride in the franchise.## As per the report, Dwayne Johnson has returned to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, making an appearance in the post-credits sequence for the upcoming Fast X, which releases next week on May 19.## The return of The Rock may surprise many as he was adamant about not making a comeback to the blockbuster action series after having some issues with Vin Diesel, the star and producer of the franchise. Diesel, however, requested Johnson to put the issues aside and come back to the series, in an Instagram post in November 2021.## In another surprising news, there could be the 12th film in the franchise after Vin Diesel said that Universal Pictures has asked if "Fast X" could be turned into a trilogy.
