Shraddha Kapoor And Rajkummar Rao To Reunite For Maddock Films' 'Stree 2'?

Mumbai, October 30 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starred together in Amar Kaushik's directorial debut Stree in 2018. It was the first film in producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, followed by Janhvi Kapoor's "Roohi" and the upcoming Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya". ## Dinesh Vijan has reportedly been planning to introduce new characters in this horror-comedy universe and in this process, a new vampire movie with Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is also in the development to start production in 2023.## Meanwhile, apart from the new characters, Maddock Films is also working on the sequel to the already established character and the first in this is the sequel to "Stree". It was recently reported that Shraddha will return for the prequel to this blockbuster film and now, the latest reports suggest it will be a sequel that will reunite Shraddha with Rajkummar Rao. ## It is said that Amar Kaushik and his team of writers have locked the idea of Stree 2 and are set to take the movie on floors by early 2023. RRR Japan Box Office Collection: Scores The Biggest First Week For An Indian Movie

Tokyo, October 29 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR scored the biggest ever first-week collections at the Japan box office for an Indian movie. ## The period action drama film, which grossed over 1100 crores worldwide in its initial run at the worldwide box office, was released in Japan on October 21 on over 209 screens, including 31 IMAX screens across 44 locations. ## According to Variety, the big-screen spectacle grossed JPY73 million ($495K or Rs. 4.05 crores), making it the highest first-week collection for an Indian film in Japan. It opened at No. 10 and the top nine films were all local Japanese films. "RRR" was the highest-grossing non-Japanese film of this week. ## The website reported that "RRR" will recover its total release cost and will enter into a profit zone within 10 days or during the second weekend. "RRR" may enter the top 3 Indian movies of all time in Japan if it gets the long run over there. ## Superstar Rajinikanth's "Muthu" is currently the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan with JPY400 million, followed by Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", starring Prabhas, with JPY330 million, and Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" with JPY170 million. ## Stay tuned...

Interestingly, the makers announced yesterday that "Merry Christmas" would be released as scheduled on December 23 this year, but now, it stands postponed to summer 2023. ## "Ganapath" is a big-budget action thriller directed by Vikas Bahl. It is currently in post-production and it seems the makers are not going to bring the movie this Christmas. However, the official announcement regarding the postponement of "Ganapath" is yet to be made. ## Meanwhile, "Cirkus", which is the first comedy film for Rohit Shetty outside the "Golmaal" franchise, is now the only major Bollywood film in December this year. Pooja Entertainment will produce this big-budget entertainer, making its 3rd film with Tiger after "Ganapath" and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan". ## Now, according to the latest reports, the movie has been titled "Hero No. 1" and it will go on floors in 2023. "Tiger Shroff, Jackky Bhagnani, and Jagan Shakti are looking to create one of its kind tentpole action thrillers, with the aim to bring heroism back in a big way. The National Award-winning musician, Thaman S. has composed the music for "Varisu", which is slated to hit screens on Pongal 2023. ## Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, "Varisu" music rights have reportedly been sold at Rs. 5 crores price to T-Series which is the largest studio in the world on YouTube. The movie will also be released in Telugu as "Vaarasudu".## Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, "Varisu" has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead along with R. The Tom Hardy-fronted will be directed by Kelly Marcel who wrote and produced the first two "Venom" installments, according to Deadline.## The report says Marcel and Hardy will also produce Venom 3 with Marcel writing the screenplay from a story by Marcel and Hardy. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker are also producing the blockbuster installment.## The first two films in the franchise - "Venom", and "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" were directed by Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, respectively. At one point, the movie was not even expected to reach even 50 crores, but now, even 300 crores gross looking within the reach. ## While the original Kannada version is going berserk, the "Kantara" Hindi version is also performing strongly along with the Telugu language. It has been a great year for South Indian movies at the Hindi box office, and "Kantara" is continuing that trend, entering the list of the top 10 highest-grossing South Indian films in Hindi. ## Distributed by AA Films, the Hindi version of "Kantara" has scored 31.70 crores net in 14 days, making it the 9th biggest South Indian film in Hindi. In just 12 days, the movie has grossed approx. PKR 115 crores ($5.2M). In the domestic (Pakistan) market, it has grossed approx. PKR 33 crores, the fastest to reach 30 crores there.## At the overseas box office, the movie has grossed PKR 82 crores ($3.7M), including £866K ($1M) at the UK box office in 12 days. It is the highest-grossing Punjabi movie ever in the UK and is set to become the first Pakistani movie to breach the £1 million mark there.
