Chicago, November 13 - The gigantic box office success along with the Oscars buzz of SS Rajamouli's RRR has widened the talks about its sequel and the filmmaker has good news for the fans. ## The maverick filmmaker is currently in the US attending various RRR screenings and related events and at one such event in Chicago, Rajamouli responded positively when asked if he had plans for RRR 2. He said that the initial story discussions are happening and there are plans to develop a sequel with his father V. Box Office: Black Panther 2, Uunchai, And Yashoda Second Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 12 - Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has had a good opening day at the Indian box office, grossing approx. 15 crores (12.50 crores net) for all languages. The superhero movie witnesses a decent growth of around 10% for an estimated 16 crores gross (13.50 crores net).## The English version of "Black Panther 2" remained the top contributor with an estimated 11 crores gross. It was around 9 crores on the first day. The Hindi version is too faring well with an estimated approx. 3.50 crores gross while the rest versions are low. The opening weekend is expected to be somewhere between 47-50 crores gross. ## Suraj Barjatya's adventure drama Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, among others, witnesses a huge jump on the second day. It scored approx. 2.10 crores gross (1.81 crores net) on the first day, and with nearly a 100% jump, the second-day estimate collection is around 4 crores gross (3.50 crores net). ## The word of mouth for "Uunchai" is positive and it seems Barjatya's slice-of-life cinema is attracting audiences to theaters. It is worth noting that the movie has been released on limited screens and more screens are expected to be added in the coming days. The two-day total collection of "Uunchai" is around 6.10 crores gross.## Samantha Ruth Prabhu's thriller film Yashoda too witnessed good growth on the second day after scoring approx. 3.60 crores gross (3.06 crores net) on the first day. With a jump of over 25%, the film scored an estimated 4.50-4.75 crores gross on the second day/first Saturday for all languages, taking the total collection to over 8 crores gross in two days. It has received positive reviews and looks like a sure shot hit at the box office. ## It will be interesting to see how the aforementioned films perform on weekdays, especially "Uunchai" and "Yashoda". Los Angeles, November 11 - Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever scored the 6th biggest Thursday previews opening for a Marvel film with $28 million at the domestic (North America) box office. ## The blockbuster sequel topped the original "Black Panther" which scored $25.2 million in 2018 but fell short of fellow 2022 Marvel titles "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" ($36M) and "Thor: Love and Thunder" ($29M). Overall, Black Panther 2's previews rank as the 15th top preview performance in Hollywood history. ## Ryan Coogler's directorial is eyeing a $180 million opening weekend domestic gross, which is short of its predecessor's $202 million start. The Rotten Tomatoes audience score of "Black Panther 2" is 94% while "Black Panther" has 79%. As per Deadline, "Wakanda Forever" counted $66M in advance sales as of Thursday, which is behind "Doctor Strange 2's" $85M, but ahead of "Thor: Love & Thunder's" $48M.## Top Marvel's Thursday previews openings - ## 1. The superhero sequel of the 2018's film grossed an estimated approx. 15 crores for all languages. ## The opening of "Wakanda Forever" is lower as compared to the previous Marvel movies, this may be because Black Panther is not as popular as other Marvel characters. The last Marvel flick, "Thor: Love and Thunder" had grossed 21.50 crores on opening day. "Black Panther 2", however, has a better opening than DC's "recently release "Black Adam" which grossed approx 8 crores on the first day.## Samantha Ruth Prabhu's thriller film Yashoda was another talked about film of the day and it grossed an estimated approx. 3.75 crores in all languages, with major contributions from the original Telugu version. The word of mouth for the movie is positive and it is expected to have a very good opening weekend. ## Sooraj Barjatya's directorial Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, among others, takes a decent to good opening with an estimated approx. 2.50 crores gross on around 500 screens. The movie has scope to grow over the weekend with good word of mouth by its side.## The combined grossed total of all three aforementioned films is over 20 crores which is a good result. Mumbai, November 11 - Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan is reportedly set to headline the much-awaited 3rd installment of the iconic blockbuster Hera Pheri 3. Akshay Kumar, who played the character of Raju in the first two films, has pulled out from "Hera Pheri 3" and Kartik will replace him. ## According to Pinkvilla, the paperwork has been completed and Kartik has signed the dotted lines to come on board as Raju in this Firoz Nadiadwala production film. The report further says that the makers are keen to rope Anees Bazmee to direct the film. DC superhero flick Black Adam are unlikely to release in China, the biggest movie market in the world, according to The Hollywood Reporter.## The Beijing regulators continue to crack down on American movies, particularly Marvel/Disney. The market of Hollywood movies in China has reduced drastically over the last few years but still, the snubbing of top-tier superhero titles is costing the studios tens of millions of lost potential revenue. ## While the official word on the ban on "Black Panther 2" is awaited, THR reports that the film's denial comes as little surprise given the recent track record of Marvel movies in the Middle Kingdom. The first "Black Panther", which was released in 2018, grossed $105 million in China.## China has been a big market for Marvel films, however, since the covid-19 pandemic, the scenario has changed for the studio to get permission to release the film there. Over the last year or so, China has banned Marvel titles - "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (2021) and "Eternals" (2021) along with "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021) and others.## Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam", which was released a couple of weeks ago and has already crossed $320 million worldwide, has also reportedly been banned in China. According to the latest reports, Akshay has pulled out from doing "Hera Pheri 3", "Welcome 3", and "Awara Pagal Deewana 2". ## It is said that despite continued efforts to bring the aforementioned films to life, Akshay Kumar didn't convince by the idea of Firoz Nadiadwala to take these franchises forward.
